Psoriasis, a chronic, recurrent inflammatory skin disorder. The most common type, called plaque psoriasis (psoriasis vulgaris), is characterized by slightly elevated reddish patches or papules (solid elevations) covered with silvery white scales. In Ayurveda Psoriasis can be correlated with Eka kushta. Modern medical science treats Psoriasis with PUVA, corticosteroids etc. But these therapies give serious side effects like hepatic and nephrotoxicity, bone marrow depression etc. Hence, it is the need of time to find out safe and effective treatment for Psoriasis and here Ayurveda plays an important role. The unique treatment modality of Ayurveda provides long lasting results and a better life to patients through its three basic principles i.e. Shodhana, Shamana and Nidan parivarjana. For present study, we have reported a 17 years male patient having symptoms of Eka kushtha since last 3 years. He was suffering from large round erythmatous scaly patches over his trunk, both hands, both legs and abdomen with severe itching and dryness over affected lesions. There was no significant past history of any other chronic illness. The patient was treated with Vamana in Panchakarma followed by Oral medications. Patient reported symptomatic improvement after the course of Vaman. The improvement was significantly increased during course of oral medications.

Nondestructive quality evaluation of fruits is important and very vital for the food and agricultural industry. This project presents fruit quality detection system. The system design considers some features that includes fruit colors and size, which increases accuracy for detection of fruits pixels. On some fruits black spots exists because of fungus. These black spots can be identified with the use of image contouring technique. At present, most existing fruit quality detecting and grading system have the disadvantage of low efficiency, low speed of grading, high cost and complexity. IMAGE PROCESSING offers solution for the automated fruit size grading to provide accurate, reliable, consistent and quantitative information apart from handling large volumes, which may not be achieved by employing the human graders. The hardware prototype also created by using RASPBERRY PI ultra low power microcontroller.

ABSTRACT: Goods and Service Tax (GST) is a comprehensive tax on manufacture, sale and consumption of goods and service at a national level. Goods and Service Tax (GST) is the biggest tax reforms in India after the independence of India. Goods and Service Tax (GST) will boost the Indian economy by hike of GDP. Before implementation of GST in India there are lots of indirect taxes such as Value Added Tax (VAT), Service tax, Sales tax, Octroi, Luxury tax etc. But now all these indirect taxes have come under an umbrella. Now in India after the implementation of GST only one tax, monitored by the Central Government. At present different tax rates are applied to goods and services. Under GST, there would be only one tax rate for both goods and services. GST is expected to create business friendly environment. It will also improve the Government fiscal health and come down the inflation. In this paper a study on the concept of goods and service tax and impact on Indian economy.

This paper presents the results of a study of a heterogeneous computational grid using different scheduling algorithms. After a definition of several algorithms based on the concept of work completion, efficiency is discussed; a new algorithm in grid computing is presented. Two well known scheduling algorithms and our own algorithm are then compared against each other, and it is proved that our algorithm has the highest computing efficiency performer. In a shared environment, Good schedules involve the integration of specific information. The application performance may suffer when some resources represent abnormal usage pattern during applications execution. We study a performance-prediction based task scheduling system, which provides scheduling based on system-level performance prediction. The efforts to construct a grid computing environment have brought unprecedented computing capacity. Exploiting this complex infrastructure requires efficient middleware to support the execution of a distributed application, composed of a set of subtasks, for best performance. This presents the challenge how to schedule these subtasks in shared heterogeneous systems. For, this we develop our own algorithm whose computational efficiency is very less than the existing algorithm.

Planted mediated synthesis of metal oxide nanoparticles is an increasing commercial demand due to the wide applicability in the various areas such as electronic, catalysis, chemistry, energy, cosmetics and medicine. In this study Zinc Oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles were synthesized using Achras sapota Linn latex as a reducing and stabilizing agent. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized using fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) techniques. The XRD result revealed that ZnO nanoparticles has flower like shape and the particle size was found to be 12.3 nm. It also showed good antimicrobial activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, (bacterial strains), Candida albicans (fungal strains).

A distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack is an attack in which multiple compromised computer systems attack a target, such as a server, website or other network resource, and cause a denial of service for users of the targeted resource. The flood of incoming messages, connection requests or malformed packets to the target system forces it to slow down or even crash and shut down, thereby denying service to legitimate users or systems. Distributed Denial of Service Attacks have recently emerged as one of the most newsworthy, if not the greatest, weaknesses of the Internet. This paper attempts to explain how they work, why they are hard to combat today, and what will need to happen if they are to be brought under control. It is divided into four sections. The first is an overview of the current situation. The second is a detailed description of exactly how this attack works, and why it is hard to cope with today; of necessity it includes a description of how the Internet works today. The third section describes the short-term prospects, what can be done today to help alleviate this problem; and the final section describes the long-term picture, what will change to bring this class of problem under control, if not eliminate it entirely. And finally there are some appendices: a bibliography, giving references to original research work and announcements; a brief article on securing servers; and acknowledgements for the many people who helped make this paper possible.

Presently, only a single task is been executed on a parallel system. In the proposed system, the communication is going to be enhancing to support the multiple task execution in a parallel system. To implement multitasking support semaphore concept has to be used to share the communication devices and protocol. The process which holds the semaphore will use the communication device and after finishing the communication the process releases the semaphore. If the semaphore is locked and any process wants to use communication device or protocol has to wait until the semaphore is release by the other process. To control the flow of execution setjump and longjump has been used and with the above the multitasking has been implemented with send and receive protocol.

This paper is focused on comparative study of two algorithms for face recognition: Principle Component Analysis (PCA) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Simulation results show that principle component analysis where eigenface algorithm is used as essentially a minimum distance classifier, works well when illumination variation is small. Here, recognition is done by putting a test image onto the face space spanned by the eigen faces and by measuring minimum Euclidean distance. In ANN algorithm, learning process of neurons is used to train the input face to minimize the error. Face recognition using ANN algorithm shows good accuracy and success rate even for different illumination condition.

The main objective of this paper is to reduce the Common Mode Voltage (CMV) in the Diode Clamped Multilevel Inverter (DCMLI).Three phase Y-connected RL load is connected to DCMLI. The common mode voltage exists between neutral point of Y-connected load and system ground.CMV causes premature failure of bearings of induction motor and is essential to reduce. In this paper, Alternative Phase Opposition Disposition SPWM technique is used to reduce common mode voltage. Two level, five level, seven level and nine level DCMLI are compared in terms of THD and CMV.The effect of a passive LC filter on THD was studied. The simulation of circuit is carried out by using MATLAB/Simulink. Simulation result portrays reduction in THD and CMV by using APOD-SPWM controlled higher level Inverters.

In wide fan-in dynamic multiplexers, the two phase evaluate-precharge operation leads to high switching activity at the dynamic and the output nodes introducing a significant power penalty. To address this issue, the switching-aware design techniques are being explored but these existing techniques suffer from design inflexibilities. Dynamic gates are inherently less resistant to noises than static CMOS gates. In this paper, we propose a pulse domino switching-aware technique, called SSPD, to reduce the overall power consumption of a wide fan-in dynamic gate by having static-like switching behavior at the dynamic node, and the gate input/output terminals. A conditional pulse generator is also proposed, which enables the SSPD multiplexers to be easily adapted to a wide set of noise and delay specifications. Simulation results of 16-bit and 32-bit dynamic multiplexers designed and simulated in a 1.2-V 90-nm CMOS process show that the SSPD technique can reduce the average power by up to 21% and 36%, respectively, when compared to the conventional footless domino technique. This circuit can easily be designed to meet a wide range of power dissipation and noise specifications.

Face recognition is a broadly researched topic by researchers from differing disciplines. Several unsupervised statistical feature extraction strategies have been used in face recognition, out of these in this paper I propose a robust face recognition system using Gabor filter with PCA approach. The proposed system was tested on two famous face recognition databases, namely ORL and faces 94 having face recognition rates of 81.72% and 97.30% were obtained respectively. The parameters which we are considered are recognition rate and speed with varying number of training and testing images.

Abstract: Data mining has evolved into a vital and active area of research because of theoretical challenges and practical applications associated with the problem of discovering (or extracting) interesting and previously unknown knowledge from very large real-world databases. Many aspects of data mining have been investigated in several related fields. The last decade had experienced a revolution in the information availability and exchange via the internet. The main aim of the research is decision making approach to take right decision for design and development of classification and clustering techniques of data mining system. Regarding the classification and clustering algorithm, we rely on Upgraded Random Forest classification algorithm and EAHC with Farthest First Clustering as a greedy classification method. Using this method, several approaches are proposed to work on binary and multiclass scenarios. The proposed system gives better classification and clustering performance when compared to other popular algorithms.

The issue of child labour is not a new concept in the Indian context. The present paper examines the situation of child labour in India as inferred from recent empirical studies. Further, the paper analyses the determinants of child labour in the country. Despite the countless policies and programmes launched to address the issue, the resultant dent caused in the numbers is very meagre. As the child gets older, income effects become more important determinants of child labour than the costs of education. Children are continued to be exploited and abused because the State and people do not address children's issues comprehensively and effectively. There is clearly an urgent need for a set of additional policies and programmes to help contain the issue of child labour. The paper reviews and suggests certain proposals for the development of more effective coping strategies, policies and programs to address the issue. The current paper adds a practical, actionable implication for the academicians, professionals working in the industry and government authorities to deal with the issue. Empowering communities with the knowledge to demand for proper implementation of employment schemes, food security and access to all government provisions would help to reduce instances of child labour.
