Water level indicators hold a basic role of representing the level of water in the tank, in offices or for domestic purposes. But, with the availability of the technologies like microcontrollers and microprocessors we can exceed the areas and features of these indicators . Thus, we have broaden the aspects of the simple water level indicator to a level where we can not only check the level of water but can switch on, switch off, perform actions either manually or automatically, even if the user is in different location, far from the actual system. The method used for this system integrates GSM module and Wi-Fi module, with relay logic, where the sensors will be sending signals to the microcontroller and the microcontroller will be passing signals further to relays so as to perform a definite action, as per defined by the code and architecture.

Videos are more complex than images as they are a sequence of changing images. Video retrieval consists of a series of steps such as segmentation, frame selection, feature extraction and similarity measure. The paper presents the approach called Color Difference Histogram which exploits the perceptually uniform colour differences between two points under different background in accordance with the color and the edge orientations. As the system is based on the content of the videos, the query used here is a snap shot taken from the video recorder

There is a large portion of India which is affected by damages caused by earthquake. So it is necessary to consider seismic load in design of structure. From the recent earthquakes it is concluded that not only non-engineered but also the engineered structure is affected by earthquake. The main objective of this analysis work is to analyze and design G+6 building in three dimensions for different seismic zones of India using STAAD Pro. In this work whole structure is analyzed including load calculation using STAAD Pro. Limit state method of design adopted in whole analysis work. IS 1893:2002 used for seismic analysis and detailing. A regular RCC framed structure for 7 floors i.e. G+6 is designed. The focus of the research paper is to analyze the structure in different seismic zones by the method of static analysis.

Road accidents is one of the dangerous events that results in major loss to human life. Road accidents can cause injuries for life time. There is a sudden rise in the number of accidents from past few years. So it is an important issue for the road traffic safety authorities. Road traffic data must be carefully analyzed in order to determine the relation between various parameters of road accidents. This paper describes perusal of factors influencing road accidents for existing roads and proposes the design and implementation of a technique for forecasting the accident types for new roads. Data mining techniques and tools are used for the analyses and prediction. Using this technique, road safety management authorities can take up several measures to bring down the number of accidents.

(Sb2S3)1-x(Bi2S3)x (x=0.05) thin films were deposited on glass substrates by thermal evaporation technique. The optical properties of thin films were influenced by thermal treatment and thickness of the film. In this optical analysis, effect of both thickness and annealing temperatures (two temperatures 473K & 523K) on optical properties were investigated. Percentage of transmittance decreases with increase of film thickness and thermal treatment. Extinction coefficient increases with increase of annealing temperature and decreases with increase of film thickness. Band gap is in between 2.48 eV and 1.63 eV.

CT Images are most widely used for radiological diagnosis in medical examinations. The presence of artifacts and noise in images causes the difficulty in medical diagnosis. The noises are generally occurred and corrupt an image during its acquisition or transmission. Image denoising is one of the popular methods with an aim of noise reduction to retain images quality. A tradeoff between noise reduction and the preservation of actual detail features has to be made in the way that enhances the diagnostically relevant image content. Therefore, noise reduction is still a difficult task. Edges are of critical importance to the visual appearance of images. So, it is desirable to preserve important features, such as edges, corners and other sharp structures, during the denoising process. In this thesis, Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet transforms (DTCWT) based noise reduction technique is proposed to improve image quality where thresholding and Non-local means algorithm are applied. The Noisy medical image is decomposed using DTCWT, where approximation part is filtered using Non-local means filter and detail parts are filtered by the thresholding. By using the level dependent, the wavelet coefficients are calculated using optimal linear interpolation shrinkage function. Denoised image is acquired using inverse DTCWT. The value of the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and Mean error are used as the measure of image visual quality. From study the experimental results and comparative study will demonstrates that the proposed method improves the image visual quality in respect of noise removal and edge preservation.

Many research activities were developed in order to study the elevator safety mechanisms. Safety mechanism by including governors and sensors are tested before. So, we tried to find out one more suitable mechanism which can prevent elevator failures or safe working of an elevator. By using Rack and Pinion mechanism & Dynamo, electric energy is generated which can be stored in the battery.

Leukemia disease can be treated effectively if it is detected early and also by detecting the type of leukemia. This process of observation, which is manually done by a hematologist, may be prone to errors since it is time consuming and tiring to perform such a tedious task. Thus, there is a need for an automated system which performs segmentation of the blood sample image by mainly focusing on automatic recognition and separation of each cell, in order to obtain certain features that will help in detection of the disease. In order to make their work easy and efficient, we have implemented an automated software system that will perform certain image processing techniques such as image enhancement, image segmentation, feature extraction and classification, which will help in early detection of leukemia efficiently and consumes less time. GLCM and GLDM are used as feature extraction techniques. K-means segmentation is used for segmentation. It is done to obtain the area of interest in cells, in this case it is the nucleus.

The paper is an attempt to measure the volatility of the individual stocks listed at NSE using daily closing prices of select companies. The companies have been select from the list of Nifty Midcap Liquid 15 covering the period from the launch of the index i.e. 2009 to 2016. The data have been analysed by working out standard deviation of daily log returns. The study reveals that Biocon Ltd., Canara Bank, Exide Industries Ltd., Reliance Infrastructure Ltd., Tata Communications Ltd., Union Bank of India, Voltas Ltd., have been comparatively less volatile than other securities. On the other hand, the securities such as Ajanta Pharmaceuticals, Bharat Forge Ltd., Strides Shasun Ltd. were highly volatile during the period of study.

We thank Skill Council for Green Jobs for considering and selecting our proposal to develop a solution for building a Data Analytics Driven Automated Online Management System for Skill Ecosystem. In order to provide a fillip to the objective of providing transparency, accuracy and reducing the complexity of work and to ensure that the entire procedure of operating is less complex and transparent, the Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ) realized the absence of a national platform which could capture and process this information. Hence, it became an imperative need to build a technology platform which can help the organization to get accurate statistics, maintain transparency and keep the process public friendly through a common platform. Through this tool, which is a web application, senior leadership of the organization would be able to get more accurate statistics and information due to which crucial decisions for the organization can be taken, moreover the process of assignment of batches and the affiliation of Training Partner and Assessment Body which were one of the time-consuming task would also become less time consuming thereby saving time We thank Skill Council for Green Jobs for considering and selecting our proposal to develop a solution for building a Data Analytics Driven Automated Online Management System for Skill Ecosystem. The present paper explores the psycho-social disabilities in the characters of Ramayana. Intriguing past and fascinating future both influence our present. Our mind finds its realization both in remembering past and dreaming about future while acting in present. Cognitive inabilities and psycho-social difficulties create a major disability hiatus that deficits the functioning both of body and mind excluding the will to normalize the needs and requirements of the individual. The present paper explores the presence of psycho-social deficits in the legendary characters of the epic Ramayana. We intend to attend Ramayana and its characters not as heavenly characters but the characters in life and blood who resolve the dilemmas of human lives. The paper explores the horizon and limitations of various mental, cognitive and psychosocial disabilities.
