In this project, Taguchi method was employed to optimize the copper powder concentration in dielectric ?uid for the machining of hastealloyusing Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM). The process parameters such as discharge current (A), powder concentration and pulse on pulse off (Ton&Toff) were changed to explore their effects on Material Removal Rate (MRR). It was observed from the experimental results that the copper powder added dielectric ?uid signi?cantly improved the MRR. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and F-test of experimental data values related to the important process parameters of EDM revealed that discharge current and copper powder concentration has more percentage of contribution on the MRR.The main aim of our project is to investigate the effects of nano-fluid in electro discharge machining of hastealloyusingtaguchiapproach.

The absorption of heavy metal from dying industry wastewater by charcoal from various ecofriendly natural available absorbent materials. The discharges of industrial effluents into aquatic environment cause a potential threat to the aquatic life as well as human health, which is a matter of great concern due to their toxic nature and adverse effect. The small scale dying industries generate a large amount of pollution load which in many cases is discharged into environment without any pre-treatment. The dying industries release harmful heavy metals which is 3 to 4 times higher than standard values. Heavy metals as been considered as one of the most toxic pollutants due to its carcinogenic and teratogenic nature. Several methods have been adopted for the removal of heavy metals from dying industry wastewater. These include chemical reduction, precipitation, ion exchange, electrolysis etc., but these process will contain more expensive so the small scale industries will not used those process for removal of heavy metals. In the present study, peel of jack fruit , bamboo charcoal, bark of mango are used. After activating materials are used as absorbents, the peel, charcoal, and bark are used for chromium, cadmium and lead removal process. The effect of various parameters such as dosage of absorbents for the removal of heavy metals, pH and effect of contact time, are studied. The absorbent gives the optimum results. The natural material gives 99% heavy metal removals.

In automobile the suspension system is essential to absorb shocks, vibration and bumps etc. Vehicle is run on different type road conditions such as even, uneven, rough etc. The automobile frame and body are mounted on front and rear axle through springs and shock absorbers. This is essential to damp out road shocks transmitted to the frame by the wheels when they roll over uneven road. This creates discomfort to the passengers and produces stresses in the frame and other parts of the automobile. The passenger experiences the jolts by the forward movement of the vehicle and jerks due to uneven road conditions. Even under good road condition the passenger are also subjected to bounce and roll when cornering and pitch when the front wheels are suddenly lifted or dropped in relation to rear wheels that means suspension system work continuously. Due to varying conditions of heating, ventilating, cooling and dehumidification in the atmosphere at various places, the air conditioning of automobiles is very essential. To maintain human comfort and improve internal atmosphere in an enclosed space, proper control of freshness, temperature, humidity and cleanliness of the air is required. So, in this project we are using renewable energy of suspension system to produce air conditioning effect in automobile.

Simplification of engineering and precise control of manufacturing process can result in significant cost saving. The most cost effective way, which can pay big dividends in the long run, is flexible manufacturing. Manufacturing need not be high ended and to be sophisticated.By employing DFMA (design for manufacturing and assembly) technology we achieve most attractive results. It required conscious effort to identify areas where this technology can be implemented. Circular saw machines and grinding machines are used in wood working industry on a large scale in many countries. The scope based on the existing wood cutting machine and the appropriate of DFMA methodology. The machine designed and manufactured can perform multiple operations at the same time on wood with required speed and controlled or operated by motor. It can perform cutting, grinding and buffing operations. In this paper, the preliminary design, valuation of design requirements and the design results are described. We are sure that the information contained in this paper would certainly prove useful for better insight in the scope and dimension of this project in its true perspective.

:India is an agricultural country cultivating ground nuts quantity in the village sides of the country. Groundnut is a crop of global importance. It is widely grown in the tropics and subtropics, being important to both smallforming and large commercial producers. Groundnut business is a huge market and faces huge profits when they are planted and maintained perfectly. The available planting machines are imported from foreign countries. The imported machines are not only bulk in size but also costing around lakhs. Also planting groundnuts manually consumes lot of time which can be saved by automating the process. In this project an attempt has been made to the design and fabrication of multi agro machine exclusively for small farmers at low cost. The machine is made versatile such that very simple components are employed in the fabrication and this is the reason for the low cost of the machine. The main objective of our project is to carry out the groundnut threshing operation, seed sowing, and fertile spraying simultaneously. The modelled components are fabricated and assembled together to form a complete machine.

This paper describes the working of a cycle which works on pneumatic power. A pneumatic cycle uses compressed air as a source of energy for locomotion. In this system a single acting pneumatic cylinder is operated as a slider crank mechanism which converts the linear reciprocation of the cylinder piston rod into oscillatory motion of the driver crank about the pinion shaft.. These stated problems in this paper are overcome by a pneumatically operated cycle which has low weight, takes less time for refueling and requires less maintenance. The Hybrid Bicycle can either be pedaled manually or be run on compressed air. Compressed air is used to turn the real wheel through a slider crank mechanism via a chain and sprocket. The actuation of the pneumatic piston used in the slider crank mechanism is controlled by a 5/2 pneumatic directional control valve which in turn is actuated by a push button through cam and follower arrangement connected to the crankshaft. This ensures that the pneumatic piston expands for half the revolution and contracts for the other half. A push button valve actuates this mechanism and a flow control valve is used for speed control.

In this project, Crops residues (CRs) are roughages that become available as livestock feeds after crops have been harvested. They are distinct from agricultural by-products (such as bran, oil cakes etc).Which are generated when crops are processed. Generally any plant materials that remain after food crops have been harvested are classified as a crop residue. Apart from being a source of animal feed, residues are used as building, roofing and fencing materials, as fuel or surface mulch in crop land. Farmers use crop residues mainly in two ways, e.g.: for fuel as firewood and minor constructions, especially maize and sorghum stovers; for roofing local houses, in the case of wheat, oath or barley straws; as building material for walls of local houses, especially teff straw. But the major use is for livestock feed particularly for draught oxen during dry season.

The textile industry is very concerned with quality, it is necessary to master good quality fabric rolls from the looms. The main objective of this work is to develop a system for the detection and classification of defects in a simple and efficient way using techniques of image processing. The most frequently detected defects are missing weft or warp threads, oil stains and holes. The system works according to four steps. It begin by capturing the image, then eliminate parasite information and increase the sharpness of the image by image analysis. After that, determine three parameters with characterize the mentioned defects (the rate of straight lines, the rate of dark areas and the rate of voids). Finally apply a neural network to recognize the category of defect present on the fabric.

The Geneva drive is a sort of rigging structure that plays out a sporadic rotational improvement. The moving drive wheel includes a stick that comes toward contact with a space of the chose wheel which moves it by one stage. By varying each slot length in the geneva wheel we control the timing at each stage of the conveyor movement by neglecting the usage of sensors.

A method of controlling a gear change of an automobile, said automobile comprising an internal combustion engine; an automatic transmission connected to an output rotation shaft of said engine so as to transmit the rotational output of said engine to drive wheels of said automobile through any selected one of a plurality of gear ratios; a load device selectively connectable to said output rotation shaft of said engine via selectively-connecting means; and means for generating a gear change control signal for selecting one of said gear ratios of said automatic transmission in accordance with one of operational conditions of said automobile and said engine said method comprising the steps of controlling said selectively-connecting means when said gear change signal-generating means generates the control signal for shifting up the gear. There are disclosed an automatic gear change control apparatus for an automobile and a method of controlling such apparatus. A rotational output of an internal combustion engine is connected to drive wheels of the automobile and a load device. When a gear shifting-up of an automatic transmission is to be effected, the load applied by the load device is increased, or the load is connected to an output rotation shaft of the engine via a selectively-connecting device, thereby reducing the rotational speed of the output rotation shaft of the engine to a required level. In our project, two electromagnetic coils are coupled to the gear rod of the two ends. The two buttons are used to activate the electro-magnetic coil so that the gear will be shifted.

: Aircraft wing structures are obligatory to be lightweight in today's designs. However, this lowers the overall stiffness of the wing structure and causes low frequency vibration problems. Active vibration control using piezoelectric patches is an auspicious technology to solve vibration problems of aerospace structures. Many studies were done on aircraft wing geometries, however studies on beam geometry which is used comprehensively as engineering structure, is relatively erratic. The main characteristics of this work were amplification of a finite element model for a plate stiffened by wing surface. Finite element model of the aircraft wing is generated. This study is a postponement of the wing reading with the toting of determining the harmonic analysis to optimal mode shapes of the wing structure. First eight mode shapes used to fine the maximum structure deformation with various frequencies by applying the piezoelectric patches in various locations. From the harmonic analysis we can identifies the exact location of placing the piezoelectric material in the wing structure.
