High power microwave will be used in extensively in fusion research machine like Tokamak for variety of purpose such as plasma heating, control and diagnostic. Under certain plasma conditions all power is not fully absorbed and there is some stray radiation that leads to damage of microwave and millimeter wave components. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor the power level of the stray radiation. For monitoring the stray radiation, the detector based on the theory of bolometer is design and developed. The simulation is performed to design the detector. This paper gives the simulation results and method of the detector design.

In the recent years the development in communication systems requires the development of low cost, minimal weight and low profile antennas that are capable of maintaining high performance over a wide spectrum of frequencies. This technological trend has focused much effort into the design of a microstrip patch antenna. The objective of this paper is to design an microstrip line fed rectangular microstrip patch antenna which operates in C-band at 5GHz. Therefore, method of moments based IE3D software is used to design a Microstrip Patch Antenna with enhanced gain and bandwidth. IE3D is an integrated full-wave electromagnetic simulation and optimization package for the analysis and design of 3D and planar microwave circuits, MMIC, RFIC, RFID, antennas, digital circuits and high speed Printed Circuit Board (PCB). The IE3D has become the most versatile, easy to use, efficient and accurate electromagnetic simulation tool. The length of the antenna is nearly half wavelength in the dielectric it is a very critical parameter, which governs the resonant frequency of the antenna. In view of design, selection of the patch width and length are the major parameters along with the feed line dimensions. Desired patch antenna design was simulated by IE3D simulator program

In this Paper, the designing of the solid-state transformer SST, including ac/dc rectifier, dual active bridge (DAB) converters are developed. The SST is an interconnection device between ac distribution grids and dc distribution systems. The SST has a cascaded multilevel ac/dc rectifier stage, a dual active bridge (DAB) converter stage with high- frequency transformers, and an obligatory dc/ac stage. On the other hand, due to dc-link voltage and power unbalance in the cascaded modules, the unbalanced dc-link voltages and power intensify the pressure of the semiconductor devices and set off overvoltage or over-current issues.

It is the ratio of how much a bank lends out of the deposits it has mobilised. It indicates how much of a bank's core funds are being used for lending, the main banking activity. A higher ratio indicates more reliance on deposits for lending and vice-versa . CD ratio helps in assessing a bank's liquidity and indicates its health - if the ratio is too low, banks may not be earning as much as they could be. If the ratio is too high, it means that banks might not have enough liquidity to cover any unforeseen fund requirements, may affect capital adequacy and asset liability mis-match. A very high ratio could have implications at the systemic level. Expressed as a percentage, CD ratio is computed as under:- Total Advances Credit Deposit Ratio= ----------------- *100 Total deposit The study has carried out with a purpose to present the performance of public sector banks through the c-d ratio in last decades by classifying credits and deposits along with the percentage. The current study is an attempt to find out the various factors that justify the performance of commercial banking in Bihar through c-d ratio. In the current scenario the credit-deposit (C-D) ratio of the banking system remained around 78 per cent, it was significantly higher at 90.3 per cent for PVBs as at end-March 2016. The term Microfinance could be defined as provision of shift, credit and other financial services and products of very small amounts to the poor in rural, semi urban areas, for enabling them to raise their income levels and improve living standards (NABARD 99). Robison (2001) defines microfinance as small-scale financial service primarily credit and savings provided to people who farm, fish or herd and adds that it refers to all types of financial services provided to law-income households and enterprises. Microfinance in India started in the early 1980s with small efforts at forming informal self-help groups (SHG) to provide access to much needed savings and credit services the members of which undergo a training programme on the basic procedures and system requirements. The members of the (SHG) save regularly, to minimize the financial burden. From this small beginning, the microfinance sector has growth significantly in the past decades.

In the field of image processing, image enhancement is one of the central tasks. On applying conversion of an image from one form to another form using operations for example compressing, scanning, storing, digitizing, and transmitting and so on, some loss of image details occurs in the output. Therefore, the image has to undertake a process of adjusting contrast called image enhancement. Image enhancement incorporates different classes of spatial operations to escalate the contrast, smoothen the areas of image, and sharpen the edges and structures. Hence, it gives a clear, a more visible and a distinct image as its output. There exists numerous techniques for improving the image quality, including: histogram techniques, gray-level modification, filters based on order statistics, filters which use Fourier/ Wavelet transform, adaptive and morphological filters, fuzzy logic. Because of its non-linear and knowledge based nature, fuzzy technique provides an appropriate framework for the implementation of various methods. In this paper, existing techniques for image enhancement have been compared and analyzed based upon different key descriptors.

The paper explores the intricacies of the film, Kingdom of Diamonds, directed by the acclaimed cinematic artist, Satyajit Ray. The filmmaker portrays the structural violence of the imperialistic force on the common people of the society through the archetypal representation of the kingdom. Various microcosmic examples are used by the filmmaker to expose the negative impacts of the structural violence. Moreover, the film uses the powerful symbolism of the brainwashing machine that is used to punish the commoners by the despotic ruler of the kingdom. The writing discusses the manner in which the filmmaker exudes the tendency of the powerful force to consolidate its omnipotence through the establishment of the huge idol. The film’s portraiture of the final subversive act of the common people represents the friction between the powerful and the oppressed people. As such, the socio-political commentary of the filmic narrative has been decoded in the paper.

At present industries are using an individual controller for controlling their individual parameters. The main aim of this project is to use a single controller for controlling more than one parameter in a fully automatic mode. In our state, there is a scarcity of electrical energy due to which EB provide limited amount of energy for us to utilize, which when exceeded we have to pay penalty. In order to overcome this problem in our project we have designed a low cost PIC microcontroller which will sense on load utilization and will send the control signal to the load tripper relay in such a way near our consumption does not exceed. Also it prevents us from paying penalty to EB. This project help in maintain data base and also, gives a voice command and in addition 2 phase voltage, current, and power can be monitored and controlled.

Under water communications draws the attention of researchers of different fields as this has many applications in the areas of sea diver communications and environment monitoring. The challenges that stop achieving a reliable communication in underwater are noise, limited bandwidth and power resources and harsh ambient conditions. As acoustic waves severely affected by ambient noise, multipath propagation and fading leads to large propagation delays which made the acoustic channel to be not a reliable one. In this paper Magnetic Induction (MI) channel is modelled and its performance measures are studied. MI channel can achieve low path loss and better Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR).

An accurate electric current transducer is a key component of any power system instrumentation. To measure currents power stations and substations conventionally employ inductive type current transformers with core and windings. With short circuit capabilities of power systems getting larger, and the voltage levels going higher the conventional current transformers becomes more bulky and costly. It appears that the newly emerged MOCT technology provides a solution for many of the problems by the conventional current transformers. MOCT measures the rotation angle of the plane polarized lights caused by the magnetic field and convert it into a signal of few volts proportional to the magnetic field. Main advantage of an MOCT is that there is no need to break the conductor to enclose the optical path in the current carrying circuit and there is no electromagnetic interference.

Rapid Industrialization & Urbanization coupled with increase in vehicular traffic in urban areas has become threat to air quality. An Air Quality Index is an interpretive technique, which transforms complex data on measured atmospheric pollutant concentrations into a single number or set of numbers in order to make the data more reasonable. When two or more pollutants are present in the air in significant amounts, the cumulative effect is observed using Air Quality Index. AQI gives clear picture of Air Quality. The parameters used for Air Quality Index are SO2, NOx & SPM. In the present study Air Quality Index was calculated at Abids Site to evaluate the status of air pollution continuously and to assess its impact on human health.

One of the main purposes of Highway failure and its maintenance is to provide a better road surface for the road users and carry traffic smoothly and safely with minimum cost. Paved roads in tropical and sub-tropical climates often deteriorate in different ways to those in temperate regions, because of the harsh climatic conditions, lack of proper design and quality control, high loads and inadequate assessment for identifying causes of distresses before carrying out maintenance and rehabilitation. A pavement distress that occurs at the surface can have a number of different causes which must be properly identified before corrective action is taken. Proper maintenance is very essential for longer life of the road surface. In this thesis work, describe a maximum possible cause of failure of different roads and also be discussed maintenance technique to repair the road surface using different pavement maintenance materials. Coir Geotextiles and Polygaurd is used in the road construction maintenance to avoid the chances of the pavement failure and accidental cases.
