The empowerment of women in rural India has been a focus area for numerous Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) working tirelessly to address socio-economic disparities. This study aims to explore the pivotal role played by NGOs in promoting gender equality and enhancing the status of women in rural areas of India. It delves into the strategies employed by these organizations, such as education, skill development, healthcare initiatives, and advocacy programs, to uplift women from marginalized communities. Furthermore, it examines the challenges faced by NGOs in their endeavors, including cultural barriers, lack of resources, and deeply ingrained patriarchal norms. The study also highlights the impact and successes achieved by NGOs in empowering rural women, including increased financial independence, improved access to education, heightened social awareness, and greater participation in decision-making processes. By shedding light on these efforts and achievements, this abstract aims to underscore the significance of NGO interventions in fostering women's empowerment and social progress in rural India.  Abstract

Sign recognition plays a key role in human-computer communication and sign language interpretation. The purpose of this proposed system is to develop a hand gesture recognition system to control media. Sign language is an effective alternative for communication between dumb and stupid people. Using hand gestures directly on the device, the proposed system enables effective communication without intermediate media. The system aims to recognize and use hand gestures to control the functions of a multimedia player, which provides a smooth and intuitive user experience. Hand gesture recognition through computer vision has received considerable attention due to many applications in human-computer interaction, sign language recognition. , virtual reality, and more. The goal of this project is to develop an efficient system for real-time recognition and interpretation of hand gestures using computer vision techniques. The performance of the project is evaluated based on accuracy, speed and robustness in recognizing different hand gestures under environmental conditions, including different lighting conditions, hand orientations and backgrounds. Overall, this project aims to promote the development of intuitive and efficient human-computer interaction systems using computer vision techniques to achieve accurate hand gesture.

 Abstract

There are numerous species of bird found in a wide variety of habitats all around the world. Birds are one of the most thriving groups of animals on the planet as they generally have their habitat (the skies) to themselves. Birds are essential animal group of an ecosystem and maintain a trophic level. Therefore, detail study on avifauna and their ecology is important to protect them. The present investigation was carried out to document the avifauna in and around the Sonegaon tukum lake located 52 km South to Chandrapur district of Maharashtra State and the study is from October 2022 to September 2023 in which 99 species of birds were recorded of 22 different orders and 54 families during the study. Among the recorded species 74 were resident, 17 were resident migrant and 08 were migratory.

Introduction: Breath Meditation means to be aware of your natural breathing. The breathing process is a powerful variable, which has an enormous impact on the tension level of your body, as well as on the calmness and clarity of your mind. The technique of mindfulness on breathing or Breath meditation is such a method to focus our attention on our own reality in this moment. Evidence indicates that most of the human successes are created in stressful conditions; but high rate of stress would follow by numerous consequences, including mental and physical illnesses, dysfunction and adjustment disorder and ultimately reduction of individuals, quality of life. Anxiety is a feeling of fear, dread, and uneasiness. It might cause you to sweat, feel restless and tense, and have a rapid heartbeat. It can be a normal reaction to stress. One of the easiest ways to reduce stress is to simply focus your attention on your breath. It's a form of "entry level" meditation that anyone can do. You'll notice an immediate sense of relaxation that could help protect your health over time. The need to do study on such topic because researcher have observed many stressors which are affecting psychological status and health of the student. Students are the first responders exposed to stress and anxiety. The present study was conducted to assess effectiveness of breath awareness meditation technique on level of perceived stress and anxiety among students preparing for competitive exams in coaching centers of selected areas. Objectives: 1. To assess the pre-existing level of perceived stress among students preparing for competitive exams in coaching centers of selected areas. 2. To assess the pre-existing level of anxiety among students preparing for competitive exams in coaching centers of selected areas. 3. To assess the effectiveness of breath awareness meditation technique on level of perceived stress among students preparing for competitive exams in coaching centers of selected areas. 4. To assess the effectiveness of breath awareness meditation technique on level of anxiety among students preparing for competitive exams in coaching centers of selected areas. 5. To find association of study findings with selected demographic variables. Method: The researcher used quantitative research approach in the present study. The research design that is chosen for this study is Quasi- experimental design. The non-randomized control group design was used for the study. Non probability purposive sampling technique was used to select the samples. Tool: The researcher used structured questionnaire to assess level of perceived stress and anxiety. Results: The finding of the study revealed that highly significant difference was found between pre and post-test score of breath awareness meditation technique of respondents from Experimental group. No significant difference was found between pre and post-test perceived stress score of respondents from Control group. Highly significant difference was found between post-test perceived stress score of respondents from Experimental and control group. Highly significant difference was found between pre and post-test anxiety scores of respondents from Experimental group. No significant difference was found between pre and post-test anxiety scores of respondents from control group. Highly significant difference was found between post-test anxiety score of respondents from Experimental and control group. The study came to the conclusion that students had high and moderate perceived stress and severe anxiety in the pre- test. Breath awareness meditation technique was found to be effective in reducing the perceived stress and anxiety of the samples.

Haki Madhubuti was one of the pre-eminent cultural nationalists during the Black Power and Black Arts/Consciousness Movements. Through his poems, he reflects on the suffering felt by black people in America. He combines a strong commitment to racial identity and equality with a mastery of poetic techniques. He is known as a revolutionary poet who wrote to encourage African men, women, and children to armed revolution because, in his eyes, their history and current condition made struggle necessary. He was regarded by many of his contemporaries as a significant cultural minister and leader. This paper analyzes some of his poems and establishes him as a revolutionary poet.

 Abstract

Rotator cuff disease is a common cause of shoulder pain and disability. This literature review assessed the efficacy of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) for treating rotator cuff related conditions. Three randomized controlled trials published between 2016-2020 were included. Results showed TENS therapy combined with standard treatment has a greater impact on reducing pain and disability than standard treatment alone. One trial found patients recieving TENS had significantly lower pain scores and 25% less opioid use after rotator cuff repair surgery compared to placebo TENS. However, the quality of evidence overall is poor. practitioners should communicate the uncertainity of treatment effects and consider other approaches. Further high quality trials are needed to determine if TENS improve outcomes for patients with rotator cuff disease. This review cocludes TENS may provide short-term pain relief and should be used alongside exercise and manual therapy, but long-term impacts are unknown.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT :- Diabetes mellitus (DM), or simply diabetes, is a group of metabolic diseases in which a person hashigh blood sugar, either because the body does not produce enough insulin, or because cells do notrespond to the insulin that is produced. This high blood sugar produces the classical symptoms of polyuria (frequent urination), polydipsia (increased thirst) and polyphagia (increased hunger).Conventionally, diabetes has been divided into three types namely: Type 1 DM or insulin-dependentdiabetes mellitus (IDDM) in which body fails to produce insulin, and presently requires the personto inject insulin or wear an insulin pump. This is also termed as "juvenile diabetes". Type 2 DM or non insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM), results from insulin resistance, a condition in which cells fail to use insulin properly, with or without an absolute insulin deficiency. This type waspreviously referred to as or "adult-onset diabetes". The third main type is gestational diabetes whichoccurs when women without a previous history of diabetes develop a high blood glucose level during her pregnancy.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: A mentally retarded child in the family is usually a serious stress factor for the parents. It often requires a reorientation and re-evaluation of family goals, responsibilities and relationships. In India the majority of persons with mental retardation have traditionally been cared for by their families. Throughout the world, parenting today is more complicated than it was in the past. Many adults or parents do not live with extended families and thus there is little opportunity for parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles of older generations to give advice and emotional support. Economic and social conditions encourage or require both parents to have jobs outside the home. This greater burden placed on the people working in mentally disabled home to provide tender care and love towards the children as a caretakers. MATERIAL AND METHOD: The research aimed at assessing the effectiveness of structured teaching program on knowledge regarding home care of mentally challenged children among their caretakers coming to psychiatric OPD of tertiary care hospitals in city, the research design used for study was pre experimental, one group pre-test post-test design with quantitative research approach. Convenient sampling method is used to select samples. RESULT: The present study shows that, in pretest, 13% of the caretakers had poor knowledge (score 0-10), 66% of them had average knowledge (score 11-20) and 21% of them had good knowledge (score 21-30) regarding home care of mentally challenged children. In posttest, 99% of them had good knowledge (score 21-30) and 1% of them had poor knowledge (score 0-10) regarding home care of mentally challenged children. This indicates that the knowledge regarding home care of mentally challenged children among caretakers improved remarkably after structured teaching program. CONCLUSION: The main aim of the study was to assess the knowledge among caretakers regarding home care of mentally challenged children and to administer a structured teaching program based on knowledge of home care of mentally challenged children. The structured teaching program helps the caretakers to enhance their knowledge regarding home care of mentally challenged children. The f conclusions were drawn on the basis of the findings of the study are the knowledge scores among most of caretakers were poor and average. And the structured teaching program for caretakers helps them to learn more about home care of mentally challenged children.
