Khaled Hosseini 's novel The Kite Runner gives a vivid picture of diasporic sensibility. This paper first gives a brief introduction to diaspora and then describes how it impacts people. In the novel, The Kite Runner, the main cause of displacement is the war and violence in the country. This paper seeks how cultural factors affect the lives of immigrants. They miss their homeland in the host country, but for the sake of betterment, they face all the hurdles. They have to deal with issues such as social stratification, cultural crises, rootlessness and nostalgia etc. They also suffer from mental trauma; they think that if they adopt the new culture of the host country, they will lose their own culture as well as their identity, so they always spend their lives in a dilemma of whether to be or not to be.

Over the last few decades, historians and researchers have been increasingly inclined to conduct research on the regional history. From that sence, the interest in knowing the history of Manbhum's freedom struggle has been increased. In 1833, Manbhum district was formed through various setbacks. It was one of the largest districts of India and can be said to be one of the areas of the anti-British war of independence. Many leaderships were emerged at the local, regional, as well as at the national level through this anti-British freedom movement. Their dedication, self-sacrifice, sense of responsibility, taking risk of life was no less than the national leaders. Stapping out beyond the boundaries of the four walls, women also joined the anti-British freedom struggle along with men, whose entire history still remained in darkness. Lavanya Prabha Ghosh, who later became famous as Manbhum Janani, was one of the women leaders who came forward to organize and lead the organization of the women of Manbhum in the anti-British war of independence. The article highlights her role in freedom struggle of Manbhum district.

With the rapid growth of document storage in modern society, handwritten character recognition has become an important research branch in the field of machine learning and pattern recognition. Meanwhile, how to effectively extract and store the information from documents plays a critical role in the document digitization system, especially in terms of ancient literature storage. However, handwritten characters vary with the writers and writing materials, even handwritten texts with the same content may have many differences, which brings challenges to the establishment of a high reliability recognition system. This project seeks to classify an individual handwritten word so that handwritten text can be translated to a digital form. We used two main approaches to accomplish this task: classifying words directly and character segmentation. For the former, we use Convolution Neural Network (CNN) with various architectures to train a model that can accurately classify words. For the latter, we use Long Short Term Memory networks (LSTM) with convolution to construct bounding boxes for each character. We then pass the segmented characters to a CNN for classification, and then reconstruct each word according to the results of classification and segmentation. This work aims to implement a segmentation strategy in the context of handwritten multi-digit string recognition. The LSTM model is built to be evaluated and benchmarked, also research about the effect of the different training sets on model performance is carried out. Finally, the text can be converted to digits, alphabet, and Tamil characters.

For the easy and flexible management of large scale networks, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is a strong candidate technology that offers centralisation and programmable interfaces for making complex decisions in a dynamic and seamless manner. On the one hand, there are opportunities for individuals and businesses to build and improve services and applications based on their requirements in the SDN. On the other hand, SDN poses a new array of privacy and security threats, such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. For detecting and mitigating potential threats, Machine Learning (ML) is an effective approach that has a quick response to anomalies. In this article, we analyse and compare the performance, using different ML techniques, to detect DDoS attacks in SDN, where both experimental datasets and self-generated traffic data are evaluated. Moreover, we propose a simple supervised learning (SL) model to detect flooding DDoS attacks against the SDN controller via the fluctuation of flows. We verify the outcome through simulations and measurements over a real testbed. Our main goal is to find a lightweight SL model to detect DDoS attacks with data and features that can be easily obtained. In this study, DDoS attacks in SDN were detected using machine learning-based models. First, specific features were obtained from SDN for the dataset in normal conditions and under DDoS attack traffic. Then, a new dataset was created using feature selection methods on the existing dataset. Feature selection methods were preferred to simplify the models, facilitate their interpretation, and provide a shorter training time. Both datasets, created with and without feature selection methods, were trained and tested with K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) classification models. The test results showed that the use of the wrapper feature selection with a KNN classifier achieved the highest accuracy rate Our results show that SL is able to detect DDoS attacks with a single feature. The performance of the analysed SL algorithms is influenced by the size of training set and parameters used. The accuracy of prediction using the same SL model could be entirely different depending on the training set. This project is developed using PYTHON, PyCharm as IDE, Kaggle dataset.

Compacting of concrete is one of the major concepts in civil construction in day-to-day life. The main factors effecting due to improper compacting concrete causes leakages, corrosion which finally leads disintegration of the structure in order to encounter this conflict we prefer good compacting as also compaction plays prominent role in any civil constructions. based on availability resources and type of construction different methods in compaction is preferred. So based on some critical areas and places where human and machine involvement is restricted in those areas we can go prefer for Self-compacting concrete. This is what my thesis completely talks about the process and requirements that necessary to make the study successful.

In hilly terrains VANET high speed is the real characteristics which leads frequent breakdown, interference, high noise ratio etc. that further leads to more drainage of the battery. Researchers have elaborated several routing protocols that possess different performance levels. In this paper we studied various Ad hoc routing protocols, Reactive, Proactive & Hybrid, taking in to consideration various VANET parameters like Speed, Altitude etc. in Real traffic Scenario taking battery drainage at the altitude of 1500m. The AODV and DYMO (Reactive), OLSR (Proactive) and ZRP (hybrid) protocols are compared for battery model Panasonic AAA standard using Qualnet as a Simulation tool. Since Energy conservation is main focus area nowadays. Hence performance of the protocols with various battery models counts and helps to make a right selection. Varying parameters of VANET shows that in the real traffic scenarios proactive protocol performs more efficiently for energy conservation leads to minimum drainage.

The objective of the present paper is to explore the gray areas of father-daughter relationship particularly the incestuous behaviour or overt or covert sexual misconduct between them. Such relationship is found in a dysfunctional family, which implies that emotional and psychological communication between family members are disturbingly impaired because apparently the family may appear nice and disciplined only to cover up the damage. But as a matter of fact father-daughter incest causes severe distress to all concerned. It is prohibited de jure but it is found de facto in families. Under legal questioning/proceedings and psychoanalytic help, incestuous fathers have been found neither criminal, nor degenerate, nor sexually psychopathic. This gross violation of father-daughter incest taboo not only creates confusion in religious order of life, kinship structures, culture and society but also poses a question mark on the nature of sexuality.

There are two different sorts of skills that are relevant. The first group of skills is made up of transferable abilities that may be used in any position. Your capacity for success in the job is directly correlated to your level of interpersonal and communication skills, in addition to any and all other traits that you may possess. One of the attributes that are necessary to succeed in this line of work is a strong set of technical abilities. Some examples of marketable soft talents are the ability to use computers, administrative skills, and excellent customer service. Doing some study will help you have a better understanding of the difference between hard skills and soft abilities. Candidates seeking employment in the business sector are often expected to demonstrate an aptitude for good communication not only verbally but also in written form. Employers are always on the lookout for job candidates who have strong interpersonal communication skills since these skills are highly transferable from one role to another within an organization. As a result, working in tourism requires employees to have interpersonal or personal skills; the development of these types of soft skills has emerged as one of the primary concerns for employers in the hospitality industry. The findings of earlier research on the abilities associated with soft skills will be expanded upon in this study, and a practical model will be developed to evaluate the disparities in importance that exist between soft skills and how well they are performed. The Importance/Performance Analysis was utilized so that the differences in opinion regarding soft skills that exist between managers and employees could be investigated. The relevance of an employee's overall performance on their soft skills was plotted against an HR professional's overall score on the importance of their soft skills. In addition to that, this model suggests utilizing radial graphs in order to provide individual feedback regarding soft skill competencies.

Kutch is a district in the Indian state of Gujarat. This location is well-known for its diverse traditional culture. Rogan painting is the art of painting on cloth that is practiced in NIRONA of Kutch. This painting was created using a thick Rogan color paste that was created by boiling castor oil to create a thick Rogan gel, which was then combined with pre-made pigments to create a thick Rogan color paste. Using a stylus and the prepared color paste, traditional motifs are painted onto the fabric. The most popular colors are red, blue, and yellow. The two most popular patterns are geometric and floral. The Treeof Life and Happiness Concept Workby Rogan painting isan extremely well known. Originally, the Rogan art was only used to create skirts (ghagra), the traditional clothing of the Kutch region. Later, women began creating tablecloths, sofa covers, and dupattas.Rogan art practise supports the village's economy by creating jobs. Around 25 of the 300 girls Abdul Gafur Khatri had trained from various Kutchi tribes were now working for them. India and other countries both have a healthy market for Rogan art.

Abstract: Poor psychological wellbeing impacts negatively on the functional life of individuals and leads to disability and disorder and unexpected behaviour. Globalization and technological advancement has made life very fast which has brought psychological problems which has become a global concern. To address this problem various therapeutic methods are available. But it is a requirement to find out an alternative method to address the problem which is easily accessible and cost-effective which can promote mental health and prevent risk factors affecting mental health. Anxiety, a common mental health issue, is a natural response of body and mind to stress and is an unpleasant emotional experience. When it becomes chronic and of greater intensity or duration, it becomes a disorder and leads to impairments and disability. Anxiety can cause stress and depression and so reduction and management of anxiety is necessary for promotion of mental health. Various research showed that music is considered as an effective alternative treatment for anxiety as it is easy accessible, inexpensive and easy to incorporate in everyday life. the present study tried to assess the impact of music on anxiety management by comparing the level of anxiety between university students studying music and non-music subjects as major subjects. The data analysis tool showed that less number of music students had level of anxiety than the non-music students. The present study revealed that music has the potential to improve and enhance the capability of human being to prevent the stressors that cause anxiety through formal music education. The research suggests music can be used as an effective therapeutic tool for intervention and promotion for management of anxiety.

Safety and security is a major concern in this day and age. The number of surveillance cameras, often known as closed circuit television (CCTV), has increased significantly globally during the previous several decades.. People use security mechanisms to protect their assets, whether at home or in a business.we focuses on automated object recognition and presents a deep learning approach for autonomously processing security camera pictures. This project's objective was to evaluate and test the most sophisticated algorithms in order to investigate a potential approach for integrating object identification techniques into commercial video surveillance systems. In this post, we suggest offering an intelligent CCTV security system with picture and object detection. For surveillance and live streaming reasons, several USB cameras are mounted at various locations..Previously used in CCTV video analysis, Individuals, pets, and automobiles may all be recognised using object detection algorithms. These algorithms may be further developed to find people carrying weapons in public or prohibited areas, such as guns or sharp objects. Mufflers, helmets, knife and jackets are detected by sending alert messages.Various cameras' live feeds can be seen on a computer or smartphone. We assess the effectiveness of object detection algorithms in terms of speed and accuracy.

The combination of environment effect and internal stress due to various forms of loads on stiffened structures like fuselage, wing and empennage of air vehicles, hull of a ship, and structural components of automobiles diminishes its design fatigue life. In fact, due to this effect the elongation and restoration of the material deviate from its elastic curve day by day. After a period of time, the repeated usage of these vehicle components in the changing environment with continues reaction to external loads causes crack formation in the weaker section of the material. The aim of this study is to limit the elongation of material and maintain the required strength and stiffness by introducing fibre reinforcement in metal matrix composite. Also it helps us to evaluate the strength degradation due to the environmental effect. For the analysis, a metal matrix composite was fabricated with 30% basalt as fibre reinforcement with 70% aluminium GRADE 6061-T6 as matrix. An experimental setup was fabricated to provide an artificial environment for the combined effect of stress and corrosion. The specimens were prepared according to the ASTM standard and fixed in the experimental setup for testing. The ultimate tensile strength of the specimens was determined initially and then after 30days, 60days and 90days interval using Universal Testing Machine (UTM). Also, the deflection due to a static load of 5 kg in 90 days duration was recorded and its slow strain rate was observed using the fabricated experimental setup. The maximum displacement of the material for 3 intervals using UTM and deflection curve due to static load in 90days using the experimental setup were compared, and hence the strength degradation rate was estimated.
