 Abstract

This paper discusses the historical perspective of the traditional metal casting technique of the "Dhokra" handicraft. It is based on secondary sources such as published papers, books on the metal craft, and print media. For the first time, this technique was observed in the Indus Valley civilization when a dancing girl figurine in bronze from Mohenjo-Daro was discovered. This figurine was made by lost wax technique (Cire Perdue technique). Since then, it continued in some of the Indian tribes i.e. Gadwa, and Gonds. Ghasi and Chitraghasi, Damar Malhor, etc. who are continuing the practising of the Dhokra craft. It is prevalent in the states of Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Telangana. The Dhokra craft is known as a non-ferrous metal casting process. The purpose of the paper is to understand this specific metal craft which has a significant position in tribal communities. The age-old tribal tradition has very often followed this metal craft. It presents the social, economic, and religious aspects of the tribal societies.

Abstract: The trematode parasite Genarchopsis goppo infects the intestines of the freshwater fish Channa punctatus. In the present study the histopathological and histochemical investigations have been evaluated to understand the extent of damage caused due to the infestation of the parasite and also to assess the histochemical alterations that occured in the intestine of Channa punctatus (Bloch) as a result of Genarchopsis goppo infection. It is observed that the histopathological changes included the destruction and shedding of intestinal villi, inflammatory fibrosis characterized by hyperplasia and metaplasia of the submucosal layer. The histochemical tests applied on the intestinal tissues revealed that the total carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids were found elevated in the intestine due to helminth infestation.

 Abstract

This paper examines the tensions between individual agency and social constraints in George Eliot's The Mill on the Floss. Using the heroine Maggie Tulliver as a case in point, the novel reveals how, in 19th century rural England, personal ambition is often set against tight social structures. Analyzing the role of community identity, family expectations, and gender norms, this study sheds light on the ways in which social constraints limit individual expression and decision-making. In doing so, this research argues that Eliot critiques these restrictive societal frameworks and situates Maggie's struggle as a reflection on the broader consequences of suppressing individual agency in favor of communal conformity. From this perspective, The Mill on the Floss is at the same time a personal and social commentary that throws into relief the intricacies of identity formation in a society where freedom is not forthcoming. This paper contributes to existing scholarship on Eliot's work by pointing out how the novel's narration of community and individual agency speaks to contemporary debates over social identity and personal autonomy.

 Abstract

Examining the pharmaceutical coequals of colorful brands of mefenamic acid capsules vended in Karachi, Pakistan, is the thing of this study. The study looked into two distinct kinds of 500 mg capsules of mefenamic acid. According to BP/ USP( British and United States Pharmacopoeia), four quality control( QC) parameters were performed weight variation, hardness test, frangibility test, and decomposition test. According to the study's findings, every parameter -- including weight variation, hardness, decomposition, and frangibility -- was in line with BP/ USP. In order to determine the medicine release rate and patterns, 200 mg controlled release matrices of mefenamic acid were created by direct contraction and in vitro medicine dissolving examinations were conducted. Methocel was employed as a polymer to control the rate. During in vitro dissolution examinations, the impact of numerous co-excipients on the medicine release rates was also examined. Polymer Methocel was made with the drug at four distinct D P rates and employed as a rate- controlling polymer. Using a Pharma Test dissolving instrument, phosphate buffer with a pH of 7.2 was employed as the dissolution media. To as certain the medicine release kinetics, a number of kinetic models were used to the dissolution biographies. The f2 similarity factor was used to estimate dissolution parity.

 Abstract

Infertility, a significant concern affecting many couples, is often linked to male factors such as low sperm count (oligospermia). This case study documents the successful homeopathic treatment of a 28-year-old male patient with oligospermia, characterized by a sperm count of 10 million/ml and motility below 40%. The patient, presenting with symptoms like low sexual desire, disturbed sleep, and constipation, was treated with Calcarea phosphorica after a comprehensive individualized assessment. Over eight weeks, homeopathic intervention improved the patient's sperm count to 62 million/ml and motility to 50%, alongside enhanced general well-being. The remedy selection was based on repertorial analysis and aligned with the principles of individualized homeopathy. This study highlights the potential of homeopathic remedies as a safe, cost-effective alternative for addressing male infertility. However, it emphasizes the need for further clinical research to establish broader efficacy and applicability
