 Abstract

In the last decade alone, fire incidence increased in worldwide report, having four (4) million reports related to fire from 2020. Fire Safety Awareness, on the other hand, remains general knowledge in many residences. In this correlative study, variables level of incidence and level of safety awareness of Tarlac City households are examined, aiming to explore the existence of correlations between the two. Gathered data through surveys shows that out of 72 barangays, 46 respondents from 34 barangays resulted to have high level of fire safety awareness. Level of Fire Incidence from January 2021 to June 2024 are summarized to have most of the fire accidents are low frequency (54.35%), while moderate frequency (32.61%), and intense frequency (13.04%) comes second and third. As a result, there is no significant correlation between the level of fire safety awareness and level of incidence of fire. However, problems encountered by both households-respondents and BFP personnel are majorly caused by lack of participation on both sides, inaccessibility of firefighting equipment, and lack of fire safety education. It is generally recommended that collaboration between the two respondent groups should be well-implemented to improve the reduce the states of potential fire hazards. This study can be presented as future references for improving fire-awareness-related policies.

 Abstract

This paper explores Russia's geopolitical strategy and its connection to global modernities. Modernity, often understood as a product of Western development, is here reconceptualized by analyzing Russia's unique geopolitical position, historical legacies, and its continuous reimagination of modernity through foreign policy. The paper argues that Russia's modernity diverges significantly from the Western model, shaped by its imperial history, Soviet experiences, and the current geopolitical shifts under the leadership of Vladimir Putin. Through examining Russia's foreign policies, its stance on global governance, and its engagement in multilateral platforms, this paper demonstrates how Russia's strategic aims align with its interpretation of modernity in the context of global political dynamics.

 Abstract

A search engine is a software system designed to search for information on the web based on user queries. It indexes and organizes web pages to provide relevant results in response to search terms. The most popular search engines are Google, Bing, as well as Yahoo search engine. Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin and they officially launched Google search engine on September 4, 1998. Larry Page and Sergey Brin were the Ph.D. students at Stanford University. Google Patent Search, launched in 2006, has emerged as a comprehensive platform that allows users to search for patents from around the world [1]. With its easy-to-use interface and vast database, it has become an invaluable tool for inventors, researchers, lawyers, and businesses. By providing access to patent databases such as the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), European Patent Office (EPO), and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Google Patent Search would simplify the process which involves researching existing patents, analyzing of technological trends, as well as assessing the novelty of inventions. Granting patents and registering trademarks in the US is the responsibility of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), a federal organization. It guarantees firms and inventors the protection of their intellectual property rights. An innovator can register a patent application with the USPTO, for instance, if they develop a novel kind of smartphone battery and wish to prevent others from copying their idea. After awarded, this patent guarantees the creator exclusivity over the production, use, and distribution of the battery.

 Abstract

In the technical world, face recognition is one of the most important image processing applications. Human face recognition is a contemporary issue for verification, especially when it comes to student attendance. A face biostatistics system based on high-definition monitoring and other computer technologies is used in a face recognition attendance system to identify students. The goal of this system's development is to digitally replace the antiquated practice of calling names and maintaining handwritten attendance records. Today's attendance procedures are laborious and time-consuming. Attendance data can be easily changed through manual recording. Both the traditional way of recording attendance and the modern biometric ones are vulnerable to proxies. Consequently, this article provides answers to all of these problems. In addition to Haar classifiers, the proposed system makes use of Gabor filters, KNN, CNN, SVM, and generative adversarial networks. After face recognition, attendance reports will be created and kept up to date in Excel format. Lighting, head motions, and variations in the pupil's distance from the cameras are some of the conditions in which the system is tested. Following extensive testing, the overall complexity and correctness are ascertained. Without requiring any time or physical labor, the recommended method turned out to be a dependable and efficient way to take attendance in a classroom. The developed technique is inexpensive and requires minimal setup.

 Abstract

This study aimed to describe the profiles of informal settlers along with their socioeconomic status, their living and health conditions, and narrate their sentiments to identify the government housing programs provided to the said informal settlers and to propose housing development programs in the Municipality of Concepcion, Tarlac in order to address these sentiments. The researcher utilized the descriptive method in gathering information. Purposive sampling was applied by the researcher in selecting its respondents. Since issue must be addressed by a specific sample, this kind of sampling will be applied in this study. Thirty (30) households who live by the riverbanks, government-owned lands, by the garbage dumps, and land donated by a private individual but not awarded were specifically selected in conducting the research. In terms of instrumentalities used to gather and conduct, the researcher will utilize three (3) instruments: (1) interview; (2) documentary analysis; and (3) observation. Key findings revealed that this community is characterized by low-income, irregular employment, limited educational attainment, and restricted access to formal housing and utilities. Women predominantly engage in caregiving and small-scale entrepreneurial activities, while men undertake physically demanding or technical roles, reflecting entrenched gender divisions in labor. Middle-aged settlers dominate the demographic, highlighting economic vulnerabilities and a lack of retirement support. Although most households access basic utilities such as electricity and piped water, inconsistencies remain in water supply and waste management practices, posing environmental and health risks. Despite expressing interest in government housing programs, many settlers lack awareness of available opportunities, further impeding their access to secure housing. Based on these findings, the study concluded that improving the living conditions of informal settlers requires multifaceted interventions. These included enhancing access to education, formal employment, and skill development; addressing land ownership issues; improving infrastructure; and increasing awareness and accessibility of government housing programs. Recommendations emphasized gender equity, financial literacy, and targeted support for vulnerable groups, such as women, older adults, and low-income families, to promote sustainable development and community resilience. This study underscored the urgent need for inclusive and participatory urban planning strategies to address the complex needs of informal settlers.

 Abstract

The study was carried out to assess the ground water quality and its suitability for drinking purpose in most rural habitations of Champa tehsil of district Janjhir Champa, Chhatisgarh, India. For this purpose, 50 water samples collected from hand pumps, open wells and bore wells of villages of study area were analysed for different physico-chemical parameters such as pH, electrical conductivity, total alkalinity, total hardness, calcium hardness, magnesium hardness, chloride, nitrate, fluoride and total dissolved solids. pH value in the study area found from 7.0 to 8.1. EC ranges from 392-5152 ? mhos/cm and total alkalinity between 190 to 980 mg/L. Total hardness ranged from 60 to 2400 mg/L and calcium hardness from 20 to 1150 mg/L. Magnesium hardness varied from 40 to 1250 mg/L and chloride from 20 to 2000 mg/L. Values of nitrate concentration varied from 2 to 380 mg/L and fluoride from 0.3 to 9.6 mg/L while value of TDS ranges from 560 to 7360 mg/L. The study reveals that almost all parameters were exceeding the permissible limits. As per the desirable and maximum permissible limit for fluoride, nitrate, total dissolved solids and chloride in drinking water, determined by WHO BIS and ICMR standards, 44%, 14%, 24% and 42% of groundwater sources are unfit for drinking purposes respectively. Due to the higher fluoride level in drinking water several cases of dental and skeletal fluorosis have appeared in this region. After evaluating the data of this study it is concluded that drinking water of Champa tehsil is not potable and there is an instant need to take ameliorative steps in this region to prevent the population from adverse health effects.

 Abstract

This research article elucidates the organization, establishment, jurisdiction, powers and limitations of Lok Adalat and Permanent Lok Adalat in India. The Constitution of India provides for securing Justice - social, economic and political to each and every citizen of India. The mechanism of Lok Adalat being a cordial method of resolution, is most suited to the social and cultural fabric of India, as it can be arranged fast, in local languages, especially for the illiterates with the motto of "Access to Justice for all". It is one of the effective alternative to formal litigation providing satisfactory settlement of disputes aligning with the Indian legal systems. It was in prevalence in the Indian legal system since ancient times in the form of Panchayat system. The Section 19 of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 provides for the constitutional recognition of Lok Adalats, in accordance with the Indian Constitutional proviso Article 39-A, which authorises to provide free and competent legal aid to the weaker and needy sections of the society, ensuring that the opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any individual on the grounds of discrimination. It also illuminates the organization of Lok Adalats to secure the operation of the legal system and promoting justice on the basis of equity. The Section 22-B of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 provides for the establishment of Permanent Lok Adalats. The amendment brought about by the parliament in 2002 conferred Permanent Lok Adalats with both conciliatory as well as adjudicatory functions for long-pending court matters along with special focus on resolving cases in relation with Public Utility Services.

 Abstract

This study examines the impact of height on three specific coordination skills in male badminton players: differentiation, reaction, and balance. Two height groups (5.3-5.7 feet and 5.8-6.2 feet) were created from sixteen participants from the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, located in Gwalior. These talents were measured with a variety of tests, and variations in height groups were evaluated through statistical analysis. The results show that there are notable height-based differences in Balance and Differentiation Abilities, indicating that taller players perform better in these areas.
