Introduction: Health care associated infections (HCAIs) or hospital acquired infections (HAIs) are infections that occur after 48 hours of hospitalization but are neither present nor incubating upon hospital admission. Health care-associated infections (HAIs) have become a global patient safety concern. Device-associated infections (DAIs) like ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), central line-associated blood stream infections (CLA-BSIs) and catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CA-UTIs) together account for the majority of these infections. Aims and objectives--Medical device-associated candida infections at a tertiary care teaching hospital of U.P. India? with an aim to evaluate rate of medical device-associated candida infections. Materials and methods: This study was conducted in Department of Microbiology, Rama Medical College Hospital & Research Centre Kanpur from January 2018 to December 2018. In this study, the following three commonly encountered medical devices associated infections (MDAI), ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), central line associated blood stream infections (CLABSI) and catheter associated urinary tract infection (CA-UTI), as per the definition of CDCs National Nosocomial Infection Surveillance (NNIS) system criteria, were included. Results: During the study period, a total of 928 patients were exposed to different types of medical devices for a total duration of 3334 days. Out of these, 41 (4.4%) patients developed different types of Medical device associated infection (MDAI). Bacterial infection was noted in 31 (3.3%) patients, where candida spp. were isolated from 10 (1.0%) cases. The overall rate of MDAI in our hospital was 12.2 per 1000 devices days. The overall rates of bacterial and candida MDAI (1000 devices days) were 9.2 and 2.9 respectively. Conclusion: Systematic surveillance of device-associated infections has facilitated a reduction in the rates of DAIs and an increased compliance to preventive bundles and hand hygiene. Identification of priority areas, focused interventions and prompt information dissemination have aided in this reduction.

Chronic lower back pain is a common and disabling condition that can significantly impact an individual's quality of life. Exercise therapy is a recommended treatment for chronic low back pain, but there is limited evidence on which types of exercises are most effective in reducing pain and disability in this population Exercise therapy is the most commonly endorsed treatment for chronic non-specific low back pain in clinical guidelines and systematic reviews .However, it is important to note that not all types of exercise have the same level of effectiveness in individuals with chronic low back pain . Some types of exercise are more effective than others in people with chronic low back pain. Overall, while exercise therapy is beneficial for individuals with chronic low back pain, it is important to consider which types of exercises are most effective in reducing pain and improving function in this population.

Abstract:It is known that the composition of phytochemicals in fruits and vegetables is beneficial to human health. It is also known that phytochemicals can alter the absorption properties of drugs by interacting with drug transporter and drug metabolizing enzyme systems, thus affecting drug pharmacology. This effect occurs mainly in the intestines and liver, where phytochemicals are abundant. Changes in the activity of cytochrome P450 and other enzymes may affect the fate of metabolic drugs. Plants have been used for centuries to treat many conditions, including diabetes. Many people with diabetes are known to use herbs that contain antidiabetic drugs, as well as their main treatments, which may help cure the disease but also have the potential to be dangerous. In this review, weevaluated clinical and experimental data on herbal pharmaceutical interventions in the treatment of diabetes. Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic interactions between drugs and herbs are discussed, focusing on some herbs that can be used to interact with anti-inflammatory drugs.

The Internet of Things (IoT) serves as a vital bridge between the physical world and computer-based systems, allowing for the integration of existing networks. Its foundation lies in extending the capabilities of the Internet to incorporate physical objects, enabling them to provide smarter and more efficient services. As the demand for accessible data continues to grow, IoT facilitates the seamless exchange of information between devices, creating a more interconnected and responsive environment. An exemplary application of IoT is the implementation of a real-time fire alarm system. This system operates by continuously monitoring the presence of smoke, triggering an alert when the predefined threshold is exceeded. Upon detection, the smoke sensor initiates a warning to indicate the potential fire hazard, simultaneously activating a buzzer to alert occupants. Furthermore, the system is designed to send a notification, ensuring timely communication and necessary actions. Leveraging the capabilities of IoT, this FIRE DETECTION system has been successfully integrated into Home Automation using Arduino Uno, underscoring the power of interconnected technologies in enhancing safety and security measures.

In India, information and communication technologies are sophisticated enough to create the platform needed for virtual classes, self, and collaborative learning. The training program can have a serious lacuna if the, expertise and its effective dissemination. The teacher is at the center of the transformation in a learning process. Exposure of learners to telecommunication system, recent and widely used information technology related to satellite services, such as fax, e-mail, Tele-conferencing, Intranet, Internet, Tele-teaching are proving as an added advantage. Teachers empowered by technology create an environment and conditions in which students enjoy learning and learn to learn and intangible benefits is enough to plead the case teaching pedagogy is not matched with the learning environment. Technology transforms learning experiences. It plays a crucial role in innovative learning and takes advantage of access to information, knowledge of technology-driven training strategies for educators. It is imperative for teachers to become 'digitally fluent' rather than merely 'digitally literate'. Technology plays a crucial role in the learning of 21 st century, therefore educator must integrate modern technology into classroom instruction and also professional development programs targeting educational technology must be developed. This paper advocates the need for teacher professional development programs to handle 21st-century students in professional colleges.
