Abstract: An attempt has been made to analyze the dimensions of poverty among cotton growing farmers in Kalyana Karnataka district of Raichur which were purposively selected. A sample of 200 farmers was selected through a stratified random sampling method. The families of the cotton growing farmers were interviewed during the crop year 2007-08 with a pre-tested questionnaire. The results indicated that most of the annual family incomes were below Rs.25,000 and averaged at Rs.1,26,328 while the annual expenses were Rs.1,22,857. The average size of the holdings was 2.88 hectares. The returns from cotton cultivation ranged from Rs. 1,535 to Rs.12, 246/ha., increasing with the size of holding. All respondents were debtors with nearly half of them defaulters to the loans taken while others were repayers to different extents. Loan utilization was mostly to the purpose borrowed which was for raising crops and loan defaults was due to crop failure or low price. Lending sources were mainly banks and money lenders the latter charging twice as much as banks as interest. Owned property was also sold to clear-off old debt repayment, marriage and medical expenses. Migration to seek seasonal jobs was seen among 10 to 22 % of the respondents, which seasonally supplemented their incomes to as much as 10% of their annual income. External factors that were quoted by the farmers as the reasons for their poverty were lack of proper market mechanism for their agricultural produce, inadequate supply of inputs, credit, power etc. for cultivation.

This paper presents diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy affected diabetic patients using image processing methods. To study recent algorithms related to Image Enhancement (Morphological enhancement-Fusion Morphological Reconstruction (FMR)) and Segmentation (Morphological Watershed and Fast Marching Algorithm) to solve the problem and attempt to modify the algorithm for specific application. To establish an Improved efficient fusion approach as said in title of the topic by combining the image processing (Enhancement and segmentation) techniques as per requirements and also to tabulate statistical comparison of image attributes. To explore and investigate the significance of less commonly used estimate parameters in process of medical image analysis. To develop a frame work for qualitative automatic medical imaging to detect and forecast the irregularity in the considered problem for accurate diagnosis. In addition, we have developed a novel algorithm for the parallelization of the fast marching method which uses the time warp approach to parallel discrete event simulation. The new algorithm has been implemented using the message passing interface (MPI), enabling it to run on distributed memory machines. This is very useful for diabetic retinopathy affected diabetic patients and monitoring the affected range of eyesight.

This study has been Bloom's Taxonomy is used for educational learning objectives that educators assign to students. During a written examination, the purpose of this taxonomy is that, it is used to validate a student's cognitive level. Educators sometimes find it difficult to determine whether their assessment questions meet the Bloom's taxonomy's requirements at various cognitive levels. Based on this taxonomy, this study suggests an automated analysis of exam questions to find the proper category. This rule-based approach uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) approaches to find essential keywords and verbs that can help identify a question's category. This project focuses on the field of computer programming. The study currently employs a set of 100 questions (70 training questions and 30 test questions). According to preliminary findings, the guidelines may be useful in correctly identifying the Bloom's taxonomy category in exam questions. We've developed a new algorithm that provides complete randomization of questions and eliminates duplicates. Many educational institutions and non-profit organizations will benefit from the suggested approach
