 Abstract

Mallika Sengupta is a formidable name in the world of Bengali literature. Through the stroke of her pen, she repeatedly tore apart the heavy veils that have long suppressed women's consciousness. In her essays and poetry, she critiqued the hollow rituals and conventions of society. Sengupta believed that in our society, "womanhood" is artificially constructed--through applying cosmetics, playing with dolls, and assigning domestic chores. From religion to literature, from law to economics, women are confined as men's assistants, sources of inspiration, and bearers of children. Through her works, she boldly challenged this enforced passivity of women across all layers of society. This philosopher of society, in her writings, transforms women's love, humiliation, neglect, and resistance into expressive forms. We have been gifted numerous poetry and essay collections such as Ami Sindhur Meye, Ardhek Prithibi, Purushke Lekha Chithi, Purusher Jonno Eksho Kobita, and Sitayan. In modern Bengali literature, Sengupta's Kathamanabi stands as unique, like her other works. Beneath the grandeur of male deeds lies smoldering ashes, and the voice of women rises as Kathamanabi--a historical epic of 1,200 lines. In this context, my discussion focuses on the autobiography "The Neglected Woman in Poetry." The author addresses women as fire and honors the history of that fire. Across ages, the history of humiliation, insult, and failure has instilled anger in successive generations of women. This anger has given birth to determination, and this determination knows no boundaries. It unites figures from Kunti to Kalpana Chawla, Madhavi to Medha, Rajia to Ras Sundari Devi. The first edition of Kathamanabi was published in 1999. Paying homage to India's soil, water, air, fire, and people, Sengupta composed this historical narrative. From the Rigveda to the twenty-first century, Kathamanabi spans a wide temporal canvas. She strongly rejects any attempt to reduce feminism to a "marketable" concept or trivialize it. According to her, those who treat feminism as a trend are ignorant and misguided. The aim of feminism is not to centralize women's power but to decentralize all forms of patriarchal authority. Thus, Kathamanabi urges: "Love, yet fight"--and emphasizes that in resistance, care and affection cannot always guide actions. For years, men have oppressed and loved, but society has not reflected upon it. The history of Kathamanabi begins with Ganga Janma, introducing women characters such as Khana, Draupadi, Rajia, Malati, Medha, and Shahbanu, all speaking in their own voices. The Ganga is both nature and mother, revered at times, yet attacked at others, even by a mischievous lover's acid. Indian women, unable to be rulers or subjects fully, were forever trapped as queens or subjects' wives. Only once did a woman rise as the sovereign--Sultana Rajia--whose narrative is recorded in Kathamanabi. Medha Patekar grasped the court and the cremation ground to save women; Malati Mudi of Purulia or Princess Madhavi faced oppression that transcended class. Shahbanu's struggle for Muslim women's rights resonates with fiery intensity. Other historical and mythical figures--Gargi, Maitreyi, Surya, the ascetic Akka, Meera Bai, Mahasweta Devi--also populate Sengupta's consciousness. Kathamanabi pays homage to all these women. This extraordinary work honors the history of self-sacrifice, once again affirming women's indispensable contribution to Bengali literature. At the end of the book, Kathamanabi pledges to return, inspiring courage. She commits herself to revolution. Even if we do not directly reap the rewards, the history of our resistance will inspire our daughters, who will one day attain full human dignity. In the analysis of women's place in modern Bengali literature, Kathamanabi remains profoundly relevant.

 Abstract

This study has been undertaken to investigate the inter-temporal changes in the growth and structure of population in Himachal Pradesh. In order to achieve the objective of the present study, the information has been collected from secondary sources. In this study data of three recent censuses- 1991, 2001 and 2011 have been used. Total population of Himachal Pradesh was about 52 Lakh per 1991 census, that increased to around 61 Lakh in 2001 and 69 Lakh as per 2011 census, recording a decadal growth rate of 17.5 during 1991-2001 census and 12.94 between 2001 and 2011 census. Sex-ratio (female per 1000 males) declined from 976, as per (1991 census) to 968 (2001 census) increased marginally to 972 as per 2011 census. The highest increase in population has been recorded in case of Christian (64.5 percent), followed by Jain (28.2 percent), Muslim (25.4 percent), Hindu (12.6 percent) and Sikh (10.4 percent) during 2001-2011. Literacy rate has increased from 63.75 percent (during 1991) to 82.80 percent (as per 2011 Census). Birth rates have shown a decline as per all censuses from 16.5 births per during 1991 Census to 16.0, as per 2011 Census. Death rate remained constant (uniform) at 6.7 deaths. Total fertility rate, has shown a declining trend among both rural and urban women. Overall, infant mortality rates among children of rural and urban women have shown a declining trend.

 Abstract

Introduction: Portal hypertension and oesophageal varices in patients with chronic liver disease has serious clinical outcomes. Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine the accuracy of non-invasive parameter such as liver stiffness (LS) measured by shear wave elastography to detect high risk oesophageal varices (EV) in patients with chronic liver disease. Methods: A total of 38 patients with chronic liver disease were enrolled in the study. All underwent upper gastrointestinal endoscopy to evaluate the presence and severity of oesophageal varices. The stiffness values of measured by shear wave elastography on Ultrasound was collected. The diagnostic performance of shear wave elastography for differentiating high risk varices from low-risk varices was evaluated by a receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. Results: The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of liver stiffness was 0.98. Using a cut-off value of 11.2 kPa for liver stiffness to detect varices, the sensitivity was 85.7 %, specificity 100% and accuracy 91%. Conclusion: Liver stiffness measured on shear wave elastography have performed excellently to predict high risk oesophageal varices in patients with chronic liver disease and liver stiffness as a single marker had the best diagnostic value.

This article will explore impact of COVID-19 on HRM. Researcher find that good management and practice of HR positively controlled situations all over the world but bad management created pandemic. It identifies the main challenges and opportunities that have arisen from covid 19 and it offers insights for managers and HRM practitioners into possible future organizational directions that might arise from these opportunities. A remote monitoring, control and intelligent are one of the most important criteria for maximizing process plant availability production. With the development of modern industry the requirement for industrial monitoring system is getting higher. A system is required to be able to acquire and process real time data. It is also required to control related instruments to change those environmental factors and monitoring in long distance so that it realizes modern, intelligent and accurate control. The main aim of the project is to develop an embedded web system using ARM11 processor and real time operating system, which enables data acquisition and status monitoring with the help of any standard web browser. Determining the dynamic behavior of Industrial parameters require dense development of sensor. The wired Industrial parameters monitoring system of highly expansive and always needs large installation space to deploy. This project describes wireless sensor network which consume low power and less space. The wireless sensor network developed to detect physical parameters of industry continuously and send the sensor information to internet cloud server via TCP/IP protocol. The user can access graphical view of various sensor from cloud server .The cloud server utilizes MATLAB program to give graphical representation of WSN data. On cloud server, user with server account can access real time WSN data and view graphically using MATLAB. In this project an email alert also developed .When WSN detect critical values of sensor data to predict upcoming accident and fault at machineries in industry .The user can also access WSN for announcement when damage and upcoming accidents predicted.

 Abstract

The present study examined the contribution of psychosocial work factors to SEP (socio economic position) inequalities of psychological distress in men and women from a population based sample of Dalit villages of Muzaffarpur Division. Data were collected with the help of survey on working conditions, health and safety at work. SEP was evaluated using education, occupation and household income. Psychosocial work factors and psychological distress were assessed using validated instruments. It was found that Low education level and low household income were associated with psychological distress among men (MD, 0.56 (95% CI 0.06; 1.05) and 1.26 (95% CI 0.79; 1.73) respectively). The contribution of psychosocial work factors from the DCS and the ERI models to the association between household income and psychological distress ranged from 9% to 24% in men. Results suggested that psychosocial work factors from the DCS and the ERI models contribute to explain a part of social inequalities in psychological distress among men. Psychosocial factors at work are frequent and modifiable.
