 Abstract

Marginalization can happen in various spaces where the people are marginalized by the society, there, the built environment also becomes equally oppressive. One must understand that the design of the built environment is the outcome of the underlying discrimination borne out of either ignorance or lack of awareness and sometimes even, insensitivity. The examples of the built environment given in this article show that the design and built environment become the mode of conveying an ideology or the mind-set of the society at large and hence blaming the architects or designers would not be sufficient.

 Abstract

In recent years, the tourist industry's role as a key player in the socioeconomic dynamics of a country, particularly one with internationally renowned attractions, has come to be widely acknowledged. Growing consumer demand for vacations and other forms of recreational travel has resulted in a boom for the tourism industry, which has contributed significantly to the expansion and sustainability of many countries while also providing a wide range of other benefits to a wide range of people. Tourism has been a major tool of economic development round the world and in the recent years it has proved its potential by emerging as the fastest growing industry, contributing about 9% to global Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Sustainable tourism is more ecologically beneficial since it provides people with employment and financial compensation while causing no damage to the environment. Tourism is recognized by the government as a sector with substantial potential for economic development and employment generation among the general population. Tourism is considered the backbone of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) economy. It generates/promotes employment opportunities, infrastructure development cultural exchange, revenue/income generation and also promotes regional growth, that accelerates the economic growth and development in Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir is paradise for tourists it is covered with hilly mountains represents the awe inspiring, supremacy, beauty and opulence of nature. It consists of two regions namely Jammu, Kashmir. Different tourist centers have different attraction like heritage, pilgrimage, infrastructure, natural beauty, etc. But Jammu and Kashmir has combination of all the attraction natural beauty, pilgrimage heritage, cultural, handicraft that attracts the tourists from all over the world that provides an extra boost to the Jammu and kashmir economy. World tourism groups, such as the World Tourist Organization, have established that India has a substantial tourism development potential, especially for developing nations. Several nations, including India and China, are anticipated to have 'established themselves as global tourist heavyweights by 2020, according to forecasts. As a result of tourism's severe environmental consequences, despite the industry's rapid rise in recent years and promising growth prospects, there is growing worry over the industry's long-term sustainability as a development paradigm. Tourism has negative consequences on the environment, since it reduces the carrying capacity of the ocean's ecosystem. Tourism has detrimental consequences on the environment, impacting the carrying capacity of the region, the flora, the air quality, bodies of water, the water table, wildlife, and the natural environment. Tourism has a negative impact on the environment. The concept of ecotourism is gaining popularity since it has the potential to be helpful in the long term to the growth of the tourist industry. In addition to providing employment and cash to local communities, ecotourism has the potential to generate much-needed foreign currency for national governments, all while protecting the long-term viability of natural resources.

 Abstract

Community Participation is a well discussed concept in various urban sectors including water resource management. Most of the water body and catchment area conservation initiatives across India are either community led or initiatives that partly involve communities in the different stages of conservation plan. One of the typology of water body is a pond which is increasingly being recognized for the important ecosystem services as well as place making opportunity it provides to its local area. This paper is an attempt to assess willingness of a notified urban village, Kakrola, community members for the conservation of village ponds and their catchment. Community's responses were analysed based on gender, age, caste, education, occupation and income group along with their socio- cultural and socio-economic characteristics. Further the study proposes a case specific participatory framework and concludes with emphasizes on systematic thinking for higher engagement of group of individuals for meaningful participation to achieve effective conservation.

 Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find out the impact of trunk rotation strength & hand grip strength training towards the throwing ball velocity among intercollegiate level Cricket players. Total 60 intercollegiate level cricket players were selected from Chattisgarh University, of age ranged between 18-25 years. All subjects were divided into three groups as hand grip strength training (Group-I, N=20), trunk rotation strength training group (Group- II, N=20) andbasic strength training group (Group-III, N=20) for this study, subjects underwent training 3 days in a week for a period of 6 weeks. Pre and post-test random group design was used for this study. The data were collected before and after the training period of 6 weeks and the data were statically analyzed by one-way between groups analysis of variance (ANOVA) to compare the mean score in throwing ball velocity between each group, to find out the significant improvement if any at 0.05 level of confidence. The post-hoc test indicated that all training group significantly different to each other. This study also concluded that additional training of Hand grip and trunk rotation are able to improve the throwing ball velocity rather than performing the basic strength training only.

 Abstract

Every decision is made in a specific context to the location and location analytics adds decision supporting context to the "why" "when" and "how much" questions associated to every dataset. This paper outlines a prototype that we developed to be followed for systematically conducting this type of analysis. For demonstrating the usage of the prototype, we have used the laundry business expansion dataset in Michigan and the associated maps and demographic data layers. One of the most important activities when planning a business expansion is to analyse the existing businesses for identifying the Geographic attributes and Critical success factors for the business. Research results in this paper first analysed a set of best-performing similar businesses to identify critical success factors. These are applied along with other known demographic criteria to identify the most suitable market for the expansion of the business

 Abstract

Infertility is defined as a failure to conceive within one or more years of regular unprotected coitus. Tubal blockage is one of the most common causative factors in female infertility. The prevalence is 19.1% in the fertility age group. This condition is not separately mentioned in Ayurvedic classics but Blockages of fallopian tubes can be correlated with Vandhyatva due to Artava vaha srotorodha (Blockages in fallopian tubes). Vata-Kapha doshas are responsible for causing blockages. Normalizing the vitiated doshas leads to restoration of tubal function and easy conception. Here in this paper a diagnosed case of infertility due to bilateral tubal blockage, who visited our Institute for further treatment The line of treatment was aimed to normalize the vitiated Doshas and to remove the Srotorodha in the fallopian tube. Treatment protocol- kshara-kasisadi Uttarbasti along with oral intervention. Discussion-Tubal blockage can be considered as Sanga Srotodushti in Artavavaha srotas. Kashaya basti removes the Srotorodha and pacify the vitiated Doshas. Uttarbasti is the most effective local treatment in gynecological disorders which helps in removing vitiated doshas. Results-The outcome of the treatment resulted in opening of tubal blockages and consequent conception and the patient delivered healthy baby. Conclusion-The present case signifies the fruitful outcome of Ayurvedic treatment in the field of infertility due to bilateral tubal blockage.

 Abstract

cultural quirks of both the source and target languages is a difficult process called translation. This study looks at the cultural differences between English and Arabic translation and how they have a big impact on the translation process. This study looks into the issues with mistranslating cultural signs, the causes of these mistranslations, and practical translation techniques that work best for conveying the intended meaning. A theoretical framework, including some definitions of culture and translation, is offered before the analysis. Since Arabic and English-speaking cultures have different historical, religious, and social origins, cultural references are essential to translation. To ensure appropriate transmission of allusions and references, translators must have cultural awareness and expertise. The study concludes with some final thoughts.

 Abstract

The practice of hiding information within seemingly innocent data to maintain its anonymity and secret is known as steganography. Steganography has emerged as a critical method for protecting sensitive data in a digital age where privacy and secure communication are crucial. This abstract offers a succinct synopsis of steganography, including its methods, foundational ideas, and application in contemporary cybersecurity. Steganography allows for the covert conveyance of information by encoding secret messages into common files like text, audio, or photos. This is achieved through the application of several strategies, one of it being Pixel Value Differencing or PVD. This abstract highlight the importance of steganography in the digital era and highlights how important it is for information sharing integrity, privacy, and security. It also throws light on the various techniques used in the algorithm of PVD.

 Abstract

Sankam Period Tamils lived a life in harmony with nature. They compared everything they saw to nature. Nature is present in all the works of art and literature of the Tamils. Sankam poets have taken great care to protect the land from natural disasters and to preserve the natural resources. They have acquired scientific and technical knowledge about how to clean and use water provided by natural resources and how to conserve clean water and use it according to need. The need for water has been emphasized during the Sankam period. As we have developed in information technology, science, economy and literacy, we do not think that we should conserve the water resource levels that increase the water resources and use it wisely in times of famine. This article explains that the scientific and technological knowledge of the ancient people is still known today.

 Abstract

This historical review explores Uttarakhand's evolution from mythical origins to contemporary era, examining its complex history influenced by ancient texts, dynasties, colonial footprints, and statehood struggles. Uttarakhand, a sacred realm in ancient texts like the Puranas and Mahabharata, is depicted as the abode of deities, with the Ganges River originating from the heavens. Pilgrimage sites like Badrinath and Kedarnath attract millions of devotees. Uttarakhand's cultural mosaic is enriched by dynasties like Katyuris, Chand, and Gorkhas, who shaped linguistic and artistic diversity, resulting in the Garhwali and Kumaoni traditions that continue today, fostering cultural fusion and exchange. The British colonial arrival in Uttarakhand marked a significant shift in the region's history, influencing its administration and geopolitical dynamics. The modern struggle for statehood, which culminated in 2000, reflects Uttarakhand's determination and identity. Despite political upheaval and socio-economic shifts, the region achieved its long-standing dream for autonomy, elevating it to a distinct state within the Indian Union. Uttarakhand's natural beauty, rich in biodiversity, attracts tourists but also presents challenges in balancing development and conservation. The region faces the challenge of sustainable growth while navigating environmental vulnerabilities. The history of Uttarakhand, spanning ancient myths to modern struggles, reflects the interplay of cultural, religious, and geopolitical forces. As it evolves, its legacy reflects the enduring spirit of its people, the majesty of its landscapes, and the timeless echoes of its historical journey.
