This paper examined the impact of blue economy on the sustainability of Nigeria's economic growth with a view to determining the relationship between the development of the blue economy sectors and revenue viability in Nigeria. Through the use of structured questionnaires complemented by data obtained from secondary sources, 120 officials of the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Nigeria Port Authority and Nigeria Inland Waterway Agency were selected for the study while the logit regression model was employed in the data analysis. The results of the logit regression shows that asides the oil and gas sector which the country had relied upon as major sources of her foreign exchange earnings, the development of marine fisheries/aquaculture, maritime shipping and coastal tourism sectors of Nigeria's blue economy could significantly boost the revenue generating potentials of the country, as their resultant coefficients were significant at 1% and 5% levels respectively, while the coefficients of other sectors of the blue economy (seabed mining, ocean renewable energy, marine biotechnology, ship building, offshore wind energy development, high tech marine services) and income realization were not statistically significant at all levels of significance; meaning that these sectors at present have no significant impact on revenue generation in Nigeria. This is because the sectors have not been given attention and fully harnessed by the government of Nigeria. The study concludes that investing in these sectors could help the country diversify and generates far larger revenues than currently exists and reduce the absolute reliance on oil and gas for its socio-economic development.

The purpose of the study was to find out Somatotype and Swimming Performance of National-level Male Swimmers in India. Sixty-one (N=61) men, in the age group of eighteen to twenty-five (18 to 25) years, were selected from the pertinent population using recommended sampling procedures at various coaching camps in India and who had been National level competitive swimmers for the last few years. Heath Carter Somatotype method was used for somatotyping and the sites to be measured for the calculation of somatotype were Height (cm), Weight (Kg), skinfold thickness such as, Triceps (mm), Subscapular (mm), Supraspinale (mm), Calf (mm), Breadths such as, Humerus (cm), Femur (cm) and girth include Upper arm (cm) and Calf (cm). The result indicates that for Backstroke (Balanced Endomorph), for Breaststroke (Mesomorphic-Ectomorph), For Butterfly (Balanced Endomorph, Mesomorphic-Endomorph) and for Freestyle (Balanced Mesomorph) had taken less time than other somatotypes. So, it is clear that the shape and size of the body are strictly influencing throughout the competition especially at the time finishing. So, while training swimmers, attention should be given for developing a suitable somatotype for each swimming stroke category

Our ancestors were always functionally fit because they spent their days staying active: walking and running many miles per day; gathering and preparing food; hunting/fishing; playing sports and holding athletic competitions; taking care of children; building homes; the list goes on. In indigenous cultures, for most of history, movement was so heavily integrated into daily life that the ancestors did not need a gym or special space for "fitness," and there was no need to set aside extra time for fitness training. Today, the world is different. People are often stuck behind a desk or sitting on a couch or in a car most of the day. Because of our sedentary lifestyles, we need to focus on spending some extra time training in order to avoid becoming sick with modern lifestyle diseases such as diabetes or obesity. Hence Fitness, today as we all know has become a buzz word. Coaches, athletes, personal trainers, athletic trainers, physical therapists and even the general public have woken up big time to fitness. But do these people choose a proper and effective fitness regime? Today we have many fitness concepts catering to different priorities but what we will be discussing today is the backbone of all fitness training. Every human being irrespective of his occupation involves himself in some or the other physical movement and every movement has a purpose. To make the movements efficient a training method has to be purposeful. Our bodies are an amazingly complex web of interconnected muscles, joints, fascia, ligaments, tendons, bones, and other tissues and organs that work synchronously and seamlessly. When we are lean and fit, every cubic centimeter of our bodies has a purpose, a function to help us survive and thrive. We all know that our body is this interconnected web that's really more like one unit, one muscle, Then why would we focus on only one muscle group during a workout or one type of exercise activity? The idea of focusing on only one muscle group in a workout is definitely not efficient, nor is it athletic.

The transdermal drug delivery system (TDDS) has established itself as an essential component of new drug delivery systems. The term "transdermal delivery system" refers to all topically given medication formulations that transport active ingredients into the body's circulation. Transdermal drug delivery systems are polymeric formulations that, when applied to the skin, deliver the drug at a predetermined mined rate throughout the dermis to produce systemic effects. Although transdermal dosing options are more expensive than traditional formulations, are gaining popularity due to their distinct advantages. Controlled absorption, more consistent plasma levels, increased bioavailability, minimized adverse effects, painless and uncomplicated application, and the option of discontinuing drug administration by simply removing the patch from skin is one of the potential benefits of transdermal medication administration. Development of controlled release transdermal dosage form is a complex process involving extensive efforts. This review article describes the methods of preparation of different types of transdermal patches, evaluation parameters and some available marketed products.

The primary accent of this work is to design and optimize digital circuits, with particular focus on multiplexer topology, which includes reversible multiplexer and demultiplexer modules harboring ideas other than the conventional CMOS transistors. Allowing for logic gates and linkages at the nanoscale were unique processes by which the suggested circuits could store binary information. Since reversible multiplexers and demultiplexers, by design, do not let go of information, thus allowing for the minimized power dissipation associated with their working, they are suited for low-power applications. These new ways of doing things have a bunch of advantages, prominently among them is the low power, fast speed, which makes them future candidates for low-power, high-performance applications of nanoscale electronics.

Due to such wide significance, this drug delivery system may lead to better patient compliance and ultimate clinical output. For the treatment of inflammatory bowel colon targeting microsponges drug delivery system has been applied on the affected areas because the conventional drug therapy used to treat IBD mainly includes the use of anti-inflammatory drugs which encounters obstacle such as absorption and degradation in the upper GIT and also causes serious side effects in upper GIT. Microsponge delivery system (MDS) is the unique technique which provides targeted and controlled release of drug. Another added advantage of microsponges which contributes to their use is the ability of retaining drug on the surface of colon ensuring local and targeted action. Consequently, the lag time for drug absorption increases which makes MDS suitable for colon specific delivery and microsponge produce specific drug targeting with reduced side effects of drug.

The extensive coal mining activities in Chandrapur, Maharashtra, have led to significant environmental degradation and pose serious health risks to coal miners. This study assessed the health impacts of long-term coal dust exposure, with a specific focus on the fungal species present in the Pauni-II Expansion Opencast Coal Mine environment and their potential effects on workers. Using air and skin samples, fungal species were isolated and identified from miners and the surrounding environment. Petri plates containing Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) and Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) were used to collect airborne fungi at various distances (0m, 100m, 300m, 500m) from the mine entrance, while skin samples were collected from miners exposed to coal dust. A total of 12 fungal genera were identified, with Aspergillus (19.2%), Candida (19.2%) and Trichophyton (17.5%) being the most prevalent in air samples. Skin samples revealed a predominance of Candida species (86.7%), indicating potential risks for skin infections among miners. Respiratory health data collected through an online survey of 80 miners highlighted the prevalence of symptoms such as persistent coughing (60%), asthma exacerbation (38.75%) and reduced lung function (43.75%). The findings underscore the urgent need for improved ventilation, protective equipment and regular health monitoring to mitigate the occupational health risks in coal mining. These results contribute valuable insights into the fungal hazards in mining environments and provide evidence-based recommendations for enhancing worker safety protocols.

The Arayars are a distinctive ethnic group of hill tribes inhabiting the precipitous slopes of elevated mountain ranges of the Western Ghats. They are best known for their striking appearance and greater degree of social refinement compared to other hill tribes. They have remained largely insulated from external influence. However, the advent of modernization has gradually ensnared Arayar women, compelling them to adopt foreign lifestyles. While the older generation remains steadfast in preserving traditional values, revering both their cultural heritage and the natural environment, the younger generation has fully embraced the transformations ushered in by modernization, often repudiating their ancestral customs and relationship with Nature. This study seeks to critically examine the impact of modernization on women, Nature, and their tribal culture, juxtaposing the experiences of Arayar women from two distinct generational cohorts.
