A high-gain DC-DC converter is essential in the generation of energy from non-conventional energy resources. Renewable energy applications like solar PV arrays and fuel cells produce insufficient output voltage. In practical applications, to meet the energy demands, the output voltage of the converter must be increased. The traditional boost converter is unsuitable for very high voltage gain because it provides high voltage gain at a high duty ratio. As a result, transient response problems and reverse recovery issues arise. Therefore, a dual output common ground quadratic boost converter with lower duty cycle has been designed. In this converter, the voltage stress on switching components is reduced as the converter has only one switch. Furthermore, the converter is more efficient and uses a constant input current, which is ideal for renewable energy applications. Moreover, this converter provides high voltage gain at low duty ratio and common ground structure reduces leakage current and electromagnetic interference. The analysis of the converter is carried out and the results are obtained using MATLAB/SIMULINK R2017a. Hardware implementation is done with PIC16F877A micro-controller and the switch is driven along with its driver TLP250H. A prototype of the converter is also implemented and tested to verify the analysis.

Tampering and reproducing an image today is as easy as writing on walls. Image editing tools have made it easier to play around with any image. To protect the hard work of the original designer it is very important to protect rights of the originator and that is only possible if the original image is ascertained. To say the picture is original or a replica is as difficult as finding a needle in hay; even age-old watermarking techniques have failed in many cases. Protecting a digital image becomes even tougher as it is easy to manipulate. In this paper, a method for watermarking on Flat High Definition images has been proposed using DWT (Sym12).

There are numerous concepts and views regarding human posture and its significance. The posture means body position. It is the specific position of a person while sitting, standing, walking, lying etc. Good posture is the image of good personality. The posture changes from individual to individual. One posture which may be considered good for one individual may not hold true for another individual. Bad posture decreases our personality and it leads to many health problems. When the human beings are habitual of bad posture position then the people suffered from many postural deformities e.g. Kyphosis, lordosis, scoliosis, knock knee, bow legs etc. There are numbers of postural deformities which may either be acquired or may be congenital. Each type of postural deviation has its own peculiar causes and effects. Therefore, each postural deformity demands and requires proper attention and specific treatment for correcting the same. The present study aimed is the treatment and prevention of common postural deformities and its remedial measures.

This research study was aimed at optimizing the total annual cost (TAC) of heat exchanger network (HEN) related problems using modified pinch technique on a software that blends pinch technique with mathematical programming. In this research study, modified pinch technique contained in the Aspen Energy Analyzer software package was utilized and applied in the designing, targeting and optimization of the networks for the minimum TAC for the two cases extracted from literature and solved. The results obtained for total annual cost on the two cases (cases 1 and 2) were $220.541/yr and $567,383/yr respectively which were the least TAC in comparison with the solution of other researchers that used methods involving mathematical programming. The results obtained in this study and the general comparison show that modified pinch technique as embedded in Aspen software can be used to simulate and optimize HENs yielding a TAC comparable or even lower than others obtained by previous researchers that used pure mathematical modeling.

The main purpose of this innovative study is to build a smart IoT device to aid the visually handicapped in their mobility and navigational needs. This paper will lay the groundwork for creating a wearable smart gadget to record the user's movements. The new technology being suggested uses range-based sensors and is designed to function equally well inside and out. It consists of two modules: one is supposed to be worn on the user's ears, while the other may be connected to the user's leg. The two modules can simultaneously monitor the user's immediate environment due to their wireless connectivity. Voice commands saved on a memory card housed in the ankle module provide contextual information about the user's immediate surroundings and are delivered to them through headphones. Additionally, the IoT device has suitable communication mechanisms to prevent any potential disruption between itself and other nearby gadgets, allowing for its operation in a crowded environment.
