A mainstay of conventional medicine, herbal medicine has become widely accepted because of its natural origin and therapeutic advantages. However, the medicinal efficacy of traditional herbal formulations is generally restricted by problems with stability, limited bioavailability, and poor solubility. Novel drug delivery systems (NDDS) are being investigated to improve the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics characteristics of herbal medicines in order to solve these issues. An overview of several NDDS techniques that have demonstrated promise in enhancing the efficacy and delivery of herbal medications is given in this paper, including nanoparticles, liposomes, phytosomes, nanoemulsions, and transdermal delivery. NDDS can target particular tissues, enhance stability, and regulate release rates by encapsulating bioactive ingredients, which may lower dosage and adverse effects. In addition to outlining future research possibilities for incorporating NDDS into herbal therapy, this review summarizes recent developments in NDDS for herbal medicine and examines their benefits and drawbacks. The promise of NDDS to make herbal therapy a more effective, dependable, and generally recognized treatment strategy is emphasized.

Speech and speaker recognition technologies are one of the emerging technologies in today's world that have obtained rapid advancements. They're becoming integral components in various applications such as virtual assistants, authentication systems, and customer service platforms. The primary purpose of speech recognition is to transcribe spoken language into text and that of speaker recognition is to identify or verify an individual's identity based on vocal characteristics. This paper presents an exhaustive survey of techniques both in this and other fields which include acoustic-phonetic approach, pattern recognition, and artificial intelligence-based models to develop hybrid systems that integrate all the methods for improved accuracy. Also, this paper explores various techniques of speaker recognition. Here, again, one technique considered is the feature extraction method that is necessary to distinguish speakers from one another. Despite these innovations, however, current systems of speech recognition face problems like variability in accents, noisy environments, and data insufficient for training models to lead to deterioration in model performance. Complexity in complexities of model training further hampers progress toward the development of highly accurate adaptive systems for recognition. In discussing these challenges and surveying the current landscape of speech and speaker recognition technologies, insights are provided not only into their potential but also further developments needed for applications over wider spectra and more effectively in the real world.

This research uses the HAM10000 dataset to classify skin lesions using deep learning and convolutional neural networks (CNNs). Skin cancer is one of the most common health problems in the world, and successful treatment depends on early detection. A CNN model that could identify the seven different forms of skin lesions--including dermatofibroma, actinic keratoses, vascular lesions, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, melanocytic nevi, and melanoma--was presented in this work. Oversampling and data augmentation were employed to address the class imbalance. As a result, the constructed model performed exceptionally well on its categorization tasks. The model should ideally allow clinicians to promptly identify real skin malignancies because it was tested on a different test set to validate the results. The study suggests that AI-based interventions may improve test accuracy and streamline the screening process if they were used in medical practice. Better patient-oriented results in dermatological treatment should follow from this.

This study investigates the taxation structure of mutual funds and derivative products in India, with a particular emphasis on HDFC Asset Management Company (HDFC AMC). The study examines the tax consequences for various investor groups, such as retail investors, high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), and institutional investors, and assesses how taxes effects investment decisions and portfolio management strategies. The Income Tax Act of 1961 provides varied tax treatment for equity, debt, and hybrid mutual funds, as well as derivative instruments such as futures, options, and swaps. The study uses a mixed-method approach, which includes a review of relevant literature, portfolio analysis, and scenario-based tax computations, to investigate the effectiveness of tax planning and the impact of tax legislation on HDFC AMC's mutual fund products. Findings reveal that equity mutual funds are generally more tax-efficient due to favorable long-term capital gains (LTCG) tax rates and exemptions, while derivatives are subject to higher tax volatility. Additionally, the abolition of the Dividend Distribution Tax (DDT) has shifted the tax burden to individual investors, affecting their overall returns. The study also compares India's tax regime to international practices in markets like the US and UK, where tax rates vary by income level and investment duration.

Edward Bond's Lear is the most controversial and violent play and the title itself suggests, a radical reworking of William Shakespeare's King Lear. It focuses on how Bond subverts Shakespeare's text to critique modern political and social structures. Through an anti-authoritarian perspective, Bond transforms Shakespeare's tragedy of personal folly into a dystopian narrative that underscores the violence and alienation inherent in authoritarian power. Bond's reimagined Lear dissects the hierarchical and militaristic society by shifting its focus from the moral tragedy of kingship to an exploration of oppression, social responsibility, and systemic cruelty. Using critical frameworks from Brechtian alienation and Marxist criticism, this article highlights Bond's critique of power and the tragic consequences of its unbridled exercise.

Introduction: The prevalence of childhood obesity and its impact on cardiovascular health have become global concerns. Elevated resting heart rate (RHR) in young individuals is a predictor of future cardiac risk; however, consistent physical activity can enhance cardiovascular fitness and autonomic nervous system function, leading to a decrease in RHR. The Indigenous Activity Intervention (IAI), which utilizes culturally relevant exercises, has demonstrated efficacy in promoting physical activity in indigenous populations. However, its effect on RHR in school-aged children remains largely unexplored. This research examines the impact of a 10-week IAI program on RHR in boys aged 12-14, addressing a critical gap in current knowledge. The results could inform public health strategies and school-based exercise initiatives aimed at mitigating cardiovascular disease risks in youth through culturally appropriate promotion of physical activity. Methods: The study employed a randomized controlled trial design, with the experimental group engaging in structured IAI and the control group receiving no intervention. The IAI comprised six indigenous activities conducted four times per week for sessions lasting 50-60 minutes. The study targeted male sedentary students (n=120) aged between 12 and 14 years. Results: The findings revealed a statistically significant correlation between the IA training program and RHR, as demonstrated by the substantial F-value [F (1,117) = 214.597, p < .05]. The eta squared value of 0.647 indicated that approximately 64.7% of the variation in RHR could be attributed to IAI. Conclusion: This study expands our understanding of the impact of structured IAI on cardiovascular health in school-aged children. The outcomes suggest that these programs can effectively reduce RHR through physiological adaptations, underscoring their potential significance in promoting cardiovascular fitness in young individuals.

This research study attempts to assess and calculate the life satisfaction percentage in non-working young and middle aged women from Urban India (Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai). A sample of 300 non-working women from the above cities are considered for the study. Also tried to compare the life satisfaction levels in two groups through quantitative analysis. Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) - the authors of the scale: Ed Diener, Robert A. Emmons, Randy J. Larsen and Sharon Griffin as noted in the 1985 article in the Journal of Personality Assessment; is adopted for quantifying the life satisfaction in both the groups of non-working women. Descriptive statistics and z-test has been adopted on the samples as the sample size is 300 in total and two sample means. ZSince life satisfaction is very subjective in nature, also adopted qualitative analysis using interview method. The questions were open ended and based on the concept of "Wheel of Life Scale" (Paul J Meyer). The sample size considered for qualitative analysis is 50 as it is an in-depth interview method with open ended questions. This study summarizes different aspects of life where the particular group is satisfied or not with explanations mentioned by them.

The immediate cause for the latest floods was a lower pressure built up over the Bay of Bengal, besides a land-based cyclone, which drew moisture from both Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal: IMD. The devastating floods in Krishna and Godavari River basins that wreaked havoc in several parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the past week, leading to death of 75 people and displacement of more than 59,000 people in both the states, is unusual in the terms of short spurt of extreme rainfall. The immediate cause for the latest floods, according to the Indian Meteorological Department, was a lower pressure built up over the Bay of Bengal, besides a land-based cyclone, which drew moisture from both the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. The combination of these factors led to very heavy rains in both the Telugu states, starting from the night of August 30 and continuing till September 3.
