Concrete is the world's most versatile, durable and reliable construction material. Next to water, concrete is the most used material, which required large quantities of Portland cement. Ordinary Portland cement production is the second Only to the automobile as the major generator of carbon di oxide, which polluted the atmosphere. In addition to that large amount energy was also consumed for the cement production. Hence, it is inevitable to find an alternative material to the existing most Expensive, most resource consuming Portland cement. Geopolymer concrete is an innovative construction material which shall be produced by the chemical action of inorganic molecules. Fly Ash, a by- product of coal obtained from the thermal power plant is plenty available worldwide. Flyash is rich in silica and alumina reacted with alkaline solution produced alumina & silicate gel that acted as the binding material for the concrete. It is an excellent alternative construction material to the existing plain cement concrete. Geopolymer concrete shall be produced without using any amount of ordinary Portland cement. This project reviews the constituents of geopolymer concrete, its strength and potential applications. The experimental conducted on processes flyash based geopolymer concrete in which ash is use as a source material instead of cement & two types of alkaline activators (NaOH solution of concentration of 13 moles & Na 2 SiO 3 solution) were used in geopolymer concrete cube of size 150x15x150 mm, cylinder 150 mm diameter &300 mm height, beam 750x150x150mm were casted by varying water to geopolymer binder ratio from 0.30, 0.35,0.40. With incremental of 0.05. The geopolymer concrete cube, cylinder, beam were cured in oven curing. In oven curing it was kept under 90 0 C for 24 Hours duration. Then it was tested for 7, 14, 28 days for compressive strength, flexural strength & indirect split tensile strength are conducted on each of 3 mixes. It was observed that water to cementious material of 0.30 the result are promising. The detailed investigation conclusion drawn from experimental work have been highlighted in this dissertation.

A one-group pre-test post-test pre-experimental study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of a Structured Teaching Programme (STP) on mothers' knowledge of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) in Chakeisiani, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Fifty mothers of under-five children were selected by non-probability purposive sampling. Data were collected using a validated closed-ended questionnaire and analysed with descriptive and inferential statistics. Pre-test findings showed 18 % of mothers had poor knowledge and 82 % had average knowledge. Post-test results revealed 100 % of mothers attained good knowledge. The mean post-test score was significantly higher (paired t=78.16, p<=0.05). Chi-square analysis showed significant association only with mothers' occupation. The STP was thus highly effective in improving knowledge on HFMD prevention and management.

Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) is a complex condition affecting women of reproductive age, characterized by a spectrum of psychological, behavioral, and somatic symptoms during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle, which subside with menstruation. PMS associates with hormonal fluctuations, neurotransmitter imbalance, nutritional deficiencies, and psychosocial stressors according to modern medicine. Conventional management relies on pharmacological and behavioral strategies. Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) is understood in Ayurveda as a manifestation of Rituvyatita Kalaja Pitta-Vata Vriddhi, where the aggravation of Vata plays a central role in disturbing the balance of other Doshas. Vata, in association with Pitta and Kapha, vitiates Manodoshas and Rasadhatu, leading to both physical and psychological symptoms. Improper diet and lifestyle (Mithya Ahara, Vihara) are identified as common causative factors. Imbalance in Pitta dosha specifically contributes to symptoms such as irritability, mood swings, digestive disturbances, and skin issues. Ayurveda emphasizes individualized management strategies based on Prakriti (one's constitution) and Vikriti (current dosha imbalance). By integrating the mind-body connection, Ayurveda offers a holistic approach that enhances both emotional well-being and physical health. The study highlights the importance of recognizing dosha influences in PMS, particularly the role of Pitta, and advocates for further research into Ayurveda's potential in improving women's health and quality of life.

This paper examines how identity, trauma, and memory intersect in the literature of Northeast India, focusing on the select works of Mamang Dai and Easterine Kire. Drawing on identity, trauma and memory studies, the analysis highlights the ways in which individual and collective subjectivities are negotiated within contexts of historical marginalization, ethnic conflict, gender oppression, and displacement. The study explores how The Legends of Pensam and A Terrible Matriarchy portray fractured identities shaped by trauma and sustained through acts of memory. While Dai's myths preserve cultural memory, Kire's narratives recover women's silenced voices, Kire emphasizes on personal recollection. The paper delineates how the select writers use memory to negotiate trauma and reconstruct identity in their narratives.

This study delves into the physiological benefits of integrated yoga practices positioning them as a valuable approach for preventive healthcare regime. The study emphasizes the synergistic effects of key yoga practices including asana (physical postures), pranayama (breath regulation), dhyana (meditation) and ethical practices such as yama and niyama. Yoga practices collectively contribute to a holistic enhancement of health by enhancing cardiovascular regulation, improving musculoskeletal function and optimizing respiratory efficiency. Additionally, the integration of these practices promotes metabolic balance, supports immune modulation and enhances neurocognitive stability. The study illustrates how deliberate coordination in yoga practices that comprise of physical movement, breath control, mental focus and ethical living creates a comprehensive framework that not only addresses individual physiological systems but also cultivates overall well-being. Collectively, these practices form a cohesive and integrative framework that engages multiple bodily systems in a coordinated manner. The study further illustrates that deliberate coordination of physical movement, breath control, mental focus and ethical living within yoga practices does not merely target isolated physiological outcomes but facilitates a systemic recalibration that contributes to overall well-being. This holistic engagement reflects the foundational principles of yoga as a science of integration where the body, mind and behavior are harmonized through structured and intentional practice.

Topical drug delivery system is dosage forms which are applied directly to skin to cure various disease. Compared to other semisolid formulations, gels offer more benefits in both cosmetic and pharmaceutical uses. Emulgel have become a promising option for delivering drugs that don't dissolve easily in water (hydrophobic drugs). Inflammation and rheumatism are still major health issues today. While there are many allopathic medicines gel available to treat inflammation, they often cause side effects such as skin irritation, Burning or Stinging sensation, Allergic reaction, Dryness or peeling of the skin. Herbal emulgels are generally considered to be safer alternatives compared to allopathic emulgels. This study focuses on formulating an herbal gel utilizing extracts of incarnating Turmeric (curcuma longa) for dermatological application. The herbal gel formulation was developed by combining aqueous phase and oil phase & base. The emulgel was tested using different parameters such as its physical appearance, pH level, spread ability, Viscosity and how well the drug diffuses. All the prepared emulgel batches showed good physical properties. Among them the batch labelled IBU-4 showed the highest drug release. ABSTRACT Job satisfaction is defined as "a pleasurable or positive emotional state resulting from the appraisal of one's job or job experiences" (Locke, 1976). Self-esteem refers to a person's overall sense of value or worth. It can be considered a measure of how much a person values, approves of, appreciates, prizes, or likes oneself (Rosenberg, 1965). Coping strategies refer to the specific behavioral and psychological efforts that people employ to master, tolerate, reduce, or minimize stressful events (Hamby, Grych, & Banyard, 2013). The present study examined self-esteem, coping strategies, and job satisfaction among nurses using quantitative techniques. A sample of 102 nurses, including 23 males and 79 females, within the age group of 22-39 years, was selected using random sampling from various hospitals in Kerala. The Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (Rosenberg, 1965), the Coping Scale (Hamby et al., 2013), and the Job Satisfaction Scale (Jayan & Dharmangadan, 2002) were administered. Data were analyzed using statistical methods such as correlation and t-test. The results revealed a significant relationship between self-esteem, coping strategies, and job satisfaction among nurses. Findings also indicated a significant difference in self-esteem with respect to gender, and a significant difference in coping strategies with respect to gender. However, no significant differences were found in job satisfaction with respect to gender, nor in self-esteem, coping strategies, or job satisfaction with respect to age.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which primarily includes ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, remains a major therapeutic challenge due to its chronic relapsing nature and localized inflammation within the colon. Conventional oral therapies with corticosteroids such as budesonide are limited by extensive hepatic first-pass metabolism, low systemic bioavailability, and undesirable side effects. To overcome these challenges, colon-targeted nanoparticle-based delivery systems have emerged as a promising approach to improve drug localization, reduce systemic exposure, and enhance therapeutic efficacy. Budesonide-loaded nanoparticles, particularly those formulated using natural polymers such as chitosan, alginate, and other biodegradable carriers, have demonstrated significant potential in modulating drug release and improving mucoadhesion in the colonic environment. Various formulation strategies, including nanoprecipitation, ionic gelation, and emulsification techniques, have been explored to achieve optimal particle size, high encapsulation efficiency, and controlled release profiles. Preclinical studies highlight that nanoparticle systems not only protect the drug in the upper gastrointestinal tract but also enable targeted release in the colon, where local conditions favor solubility and absorption. Furthermore, nanoparticles enhance drug residence time at the site of inflammation, thereby minimizing dosing frequency and reducing systemic corticosteroid-associated toxicity. This review consolidates recent advances in budesonide-loaded nanoparticle formulations for ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, focusing on formulation techniques, physicochemical characterization, in vitro and in vivo performance, and therapeutic outcomes. The evidence strongly supports nanoparticle-based colon-specific delivery of budesonide as a superior alternative to conventional dosage forms, offering a promising platform for future clinical translation in IBD management.
