This article explores the narrative intricacies of Shehan Karunatilaka's The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida, the first novel by a Sri Lankan author to win the Booker Prize in 2022. Through the lens of narratology, it examines how the novel's ghostly protagonist--a photographer navigating the chaos of the Sri Lankan Civil War--serves as a vehicle for both historical reflection and social critique. The analysis highlights the novel's diverse narrative modes, including historical elements, political satire, second-person narration, fantasy, surrealism, and queer representation. By blending these genres, Karunatilaka not only revisits a crucial historical moment but also challenges conventional narratives and creates alternate histories. Ultimately, this study underscores the novel's capacity to provoke readers into reevaluating their understanding of historical episodes, demonstrating the power of storytelling in confronting the shadows of the past.

Abstract: Plants are the primary source of several phytochemicals and mineral elements, these plays very important role in several biochemical processes in plants, animals and human beings. T.bellerica is an important ethnomedicinal plant known for curing several disorders of human beings. The medicinal properties of every plant may be due to the presence of several mineral elements like Ca, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mg, K and Zn. The detection of phytochemicals and mineral elements in plants is very much necessary to know the efficacy and quality of drugs. So the Present study was carried out to know the phytochemical constituents and concentration of various elements present in the stem bark of Terminalia bellerica by using standard procedurs and Atomic absorption spectrometer respectively. The qualitative study reveals the presence of Alkaloids, flavanoids, phenol, tannins, terpinoids, glycosides, saponins. The quantitative estimation study reveals the presence of high quantity of glycosides (1.86mg/g), flavanoids (1.28mg/g), phenols (1.24mg/g), alkaloids (1.20mg/g) and terpenoids (1.12mg/g) and the least quantity of steroids(0.84mg/g), saponins (0.58mg/g) and tannins (0.38mg/g) were observed. Similarly it also revealed the presence of fourteen elements like Calcium, Pottassium, Magnesium, Iron, Copper, Zinc, Manganese, Chromium, Aluminium, Cadmium, Silicon, Molybdenum, Titanium and Vanadium. The paper seeks to explore how the tribal people of India were/are deprived of access to one of the major staple foods-- rice. It accentuates how the subaltern class took active part in challenging the Dikus/ elite's hegemony over those food items. The food hegemony of the elite triggers the zeal of the subaltern to resist the powerful class. In Mahasweta Devi's narrative, food, especially rice, emerges almost in regular basis. In the life of the Mundas, as Devi mentions in Aranyer Adhikar (1977), rice is a dream. The only food they (the Mundas) have access to is ghato (mealie), and that is why fantasy for rice grow in them and the fantasy led them to struggle. Displacing the Mundas from their land and capturing whole power over the land of the Mundas, the Dikus (powerful class) establish their own power and domineering system. In the 'colonial' and 'elitist-nationalist' historiography, the struggle or the resistance of the tribal people or the subaltern class is narrated without giving recognition to the resistance of this class. In Mahasweta Devi's own word, "Tribal history is not seen as a continuity in Indian historiography." (Devi ix) The scholars of Subaltern Studies are of the same view. Under the leadership of Ranajit Guha, a group of researchers-- Goutam Bhadra, Dipesh Chakrabarty, Partha Chatterjee, and Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak-- insist on investigating the eliminated histories of the subaltern. The aim of this paper is to mark the role food plays both in history and story of the subaltern.

In spite of possessing supreme human values and a great heritage of lofty culture India has suffered from a colossal erosion of values at the present moment. Without a comprehensive approach such things cannot be done away with forthwith. Hence, education if it is to be, not a machine-made fabric its central aim is building of the powers of the human mind and spirit - it is the evoking of the knowledge and will and the power to use knowledge, character and culture. Integral Education unites the ancient educational goal of self-knowledge with the modern goal of world-knowledge. Both of these goals are admirable, and the two of them must go hand-in-hand in any educational system that is integral. Integral Education is a philosophy and practice of education for the Whole child - body, emotion, mind, soul and spirit. Here the teacher and parents have indeed a privilege of utilising some such affectionate tie of relationship with the child and implement the educational programme successfully.

In an attempt to reevaluate the research studies on the applicability of machine learning techniques in the field of agricultural crop production, this paper was prepared. This technique is a novel approach to agricultural crop management production. The directorate of economics and statistics issues forecasts of crop production that are both accurate and timely, which are essential for making important policy decisions like import-export, pricing, marketing distribution, etc. But it's important to realize that these earlier estimates weren't objective since they needed a lot of descriptive analysis based on numerous qualitative variables. Therefore, it is necessary to develop objective crop production predictions that are statistically sound. A significant amount of data has been made available by the advancements in computing and information storage. The challenge has been extracting complex knowledge from this raw data, which has prompted the creation of new methods and strategies like machine learning that can be applied to combine data knowledge with crop yield assessment. The goal of this study is to assess these novel approaches so that important relationships can be discovered by applying them to the different variables included in the database.

In the pursuit of sustainable energy solutions, innovation in non-conventional energy resources is paramount. This study delves into the feasibility of footstep power generation, a novel approach to harnessing kinetic energy from human movement. The piezoelectric effect occurs as individuals walk on tiles embedded with piezoelectric sensors. These sensors deform, generating electricity. To stabilize the generated electric charge, an AC-to-DC converter is employed. Utilizing a full-wave bridge rectifier, voltage from both positive and negative cycles is converted into DC, enabling the supply of low DC electric applications or battery charging. The configuration and quantity of piezoelectric transducers directly influence output voltage, with greater numbers resulting in higher voltage production. Experimental analysis includes various configurations such as series, parallel, loop, and series-parallel combinations, revealing optimal performance characteristics. Through the design and implementation of a prototype system equipped with strategically placed sensors, data collection and analysis unveil promising results, showcasing the potential of footstep power generation as a renewable energy source. Furthermore, the study explores the environmental and economic implications, underlining the importance of integrating such solutions into sustainable energy frameworks. This research contributes to the discourse on green energy by presenting a practical approach to leveraging human motion for power generation, thus propelling the transition towards a more sustainable future.

Weather plays a crucial role in the population dynamics of birds, however, the effects of climate change have only just started to be considered. There is already a strong proof that recent climate changes have impacted birds. Climate change is disrupting the natural rhythms of bird migration, threatening their habitats and food sources across various ecological zones. Bird species in India, including long-distance migratory birds like the Himalayan Monal and coastal species such as the Indian Skimmer, face significant challenges due to shifting climate patterns and extreme weather events like cyclones and droughts. These changes are leading to habitat loss, mismatches in breeding cycles, and declines in food availability, posing serious risks to bird populations. To address these issues, this paper proposes two main focuses: firstly, to examine how climate change is contributing to the decline of migratory birds in India, and secondly, to recommend policy changes aimed at mitigating these impacts. Conservation efforts are essential, including the establishment of climate-resilient protected areas, habitat restoration initiatives, and species-specific conservation plans. Strengthening existing wildlife protection laws and incorporating climate considerations into environmental assessments are crucial steps towards safeguarding bird biodiversity. Additionally, promoting sustainable practices and renewable energy sources can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, thereby mitigating further climate impacts on birds. Through comprehensive research and strategic policy interventions, this paper aims to contribute to the understanding of climate-induced changes in bird migration patterns in India. By emphasizing the importance of proactive conservation measures and legal frameworks, it advocates for a sustainable future where bird species can adapt and thrive amidst ongoing climate challenges.

Polycythemia Vera (PV) is a chronic myeloproliferative disorder characterized by the overproduction of red blood cells, leading to increased blood viscosity and a heightened risk of thrombotic events. These patients are at risk for thrombosis due to the hyper viscosity of the blood that ensues. Patients with splenomegaly, increased hemoglobin or haematocrit, or portal venous thrombosis should be suspected of PV. pv should be suspected in patients with elevated haemoglobin or haematocrit, splenomegaly or portal venous thrombosis. secondary causes of increased red blood cell mass. ex: heavy smoking, chronic pulmonary disease, renal disease are more common than polycythemia vera and must be excluded diagnosis is made using criteria developed by the polycythmeia vera study group(PVSG) major criteria include elevated red blood cell mass, normal oxygen saturation, and palpable splenomegaly and treated patients may survive for 6 to 18 months ,whereas adequate treatment Phlebotomy with the potential inclusion of myelosuppressive medicines based on a risk assessment is part of a life extension to more than ten years of treatment. medicines under research for a stratified strategy include interferon alfa-2b, anagrelide, and aspirin consultation with a haematologist recommended.
