 Abstract

Abstract: The Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy (ISM&H) consist of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy, and therapies such as Yoga and Naturopathy. Some of these systems are indigenous and others have over the years become a part of Indian tradition. It is probably accurate to say that almost all life forms are afflicted with some type of disease. Disease continues to be the most basic problem faced by humans since the prehistoric times. Evidence for the existence of a well-organized system of medicine in India can be traced back to the archaeological. Ethno-medicine has become an inter-disciplinary science from ancient times, if we studied it comparatively it can lead development of some innovative formulations. Further it also true that knowledge of Botany, Biochemistry, Ethnopharmacology, Phytochemistry and Pharmacognosy are important aspect of herbal medicine and farms the basic of alternative and complimentary system of medicine like Ayurveda. The Present paper is focus on Ethno-medicinal importance and Physicochemical analysis of Capparis L. species which has a wide natural distribution, to treat a variety of ailments.

 Abstract

Abstract Historically, malaria in India was predominantly caused by Plasmodium vivax, accounting for 53% of the estimated cases. After the spread of drug-resistant Plasmodium falciparum in the 1990s, the prevalence of the two species remained equivalent at the national level for a decade. By 2014, the proportion of P. vivax has decreased to 34% nationally, but with high regional variation. In 2014, P. vivax accounted for around 380,000 malaria cases in India; almost a sixth of all P. vivax cases reported globally. Plasmodium vivax has remained resistant to control measures, particularly in urban areas. Urban malaria is predominantly caused by P. vivax and is subject to outbreaks, often associated with increased mortality, and triggered by bursts of migration and construction. The epidemiology of P. vivax varies substantially within India, including multiple relapse phenotypes with varying latencies between primary infection and relapse. Moreover, the hypnozoite reservoir maintains transmission potential and enables reestablishment of the parasite in areas in which it was thought eradicated. The burden of malaria in India is complex because of the highly variable malaria eco-epidemiological profiles, transmission factors, and the presence of multiple Plasmodium species and Anopheles vectors. This review of P. vivax malaria in India describes epidemiological trends with particular attention to four states.

 Abstract

About thirty percent of the gross value added in India comes from the industrial sector, which is a major contributor to the country's economy. Conversely, the industry, along with the fruit, juice, chip, meat, and confectionery sectors, produces massive volumes of wastes and related effluents every year. These wastes have the potential to pollute the ecosystem and negatively impact both human and animal health if they are released into the environment without following the correct disposal procedures. Since most industrial wastes are unused and untreated, they are typically disposed of by burning, dumping, or haphazard land filling, according to most reports. Because these untreated wastes produce more greenhouse gases, they exacerbate various climate change issues. The objectives of this paper are to prevent or minimize waste, safeguard human health, preserve natural resources and energy, and clean up garbage when necessary.

 Abstract

J. M. Coetzee's novel Life & Times of Michael K is thought-provoking and addresses complex issues in a politically charged setting. The novel represents Michael K as a physically and mentally challenged man, as he navigates a war-torn South Africa. It delves into his struggle for survival and his determination to live on his terms. Coetzee uses Michael's journey to comment on the socio-political landscape of apartheid-era South Africa. The novel raises questions about the oppressive government and the impact of war on individuals. The novel Life & Times of Michael K is a thought-provoking novel that addresses complex issues in a politically charged setting. The search for identity and a sense of belongingness is the central theme of this novel, and it is depicted through the character of Michael K. His journey highlights the search for identity and a sense of belonging in a society that rejects those who don't conform to its norms. The novel critiques the dehumanizing aspects of bureaucracy and government institutions, as Michael faces numerous obstacles and humiliations while trying to secure a pass to move freely. This research paper explores the tension between individual freedom and societal expectations, as Michael's simple desires clash with the demands of a rigidly controlled society. His struggle underscores the challenges faced by individuals who do not conform to societal expectations. It portrays the resilience and inner strength required to assert one's identity in the face of a society that often rejects or marginalizes those who are different.

 Abstract

The topic has always been important to finance and economics, even though high-profile corporate governance scandals in wealthy nations have recently drawn public attention to it. Given its importance to financial and economic development, the issue is especially significant for emerging nations. Recent studies have shown that a nation's ability to safeguard investors, both legally and practically, is a major factor in financial success. India possesses some of the greatest corporate governance regulations due to the English legal system's legacy; yet, the pre-reform era's socialistic policies and inadequate implementation have negatively impacted corporate governance. The Indian business environment is characterized by concentrated share ownership, pyramiding, and tunneling of cash among group companies. Due to the GOI-nominated directors' inability or unwillingness to fulfill their oversight responsibilities, boards of directors have frequently been passive participants. However, after liberalization, significant attempts have been made to reform the system, as evidenced by the implementation of the corporate governance-related Clause 49 of Listing Agreements by SEBI. A shift towards more market-based governance is also occurring in the corporate governance of Indian banks.

 Abstract

Abstract: The rise of digital learning platforms has significantly impacted educational institutions. The educational landscape is constantly changing with the increasing use of blended learning approaches. Blended learning combines traditional in-person teaching with online learning, providing students with a versatile and dynamic platform for knowledge acquisition. However, education is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor, and acknowledging the diversity of students' learning styles is important in enhancing the effectiveness of blended learning. This article aims to theoretically explore the psychological aspects of VARK learning styles within the context of Blended learning. VARK, representing visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic learning preferences, offers a structured framework to categorize students based on their preferred mode of learning. The present article also discusses the benefits of incorporating VARK learning styles in blended learning, emphasizing personalized learning experiences, enhanced engagement, and inclusivity. However, challenges such as overgeneralization, resource accessibility, and the need for teacher preparedness should be addressed. Balancing technology integration and face-to-face contact is crucial for successful blended learning.

 Abstract

This study presents a novel approach utilizing deep learning techniques to develop an automated system for the detection of automotive damage and subsequent prediction of repair costs. The system comprises two primary components, namely a model for detecting damage and a model for predicting prices. The damage identification model utilizes a convolutional neural network architecture, specifically VGG16 and Resnet50, which have been trained to accurately classify and recognize various forms of damage present in car photos. The price prediction model utilized in this study is an XGBoost model, which has been trained to forecast the market value of a car by considering its condition as a key factor. The evaluation of the system was conducted using a dataset comprising more than 10,000 photographs of vehicles. The findings illustrate the capacity of deep learning techniques in automating the detection of automotive damage and predicting its associated pricing. The system under consideration has the potential to optimize the efficiency of insurance claim processing, used automobile appraisal, and maintenance planning procedures.

 Abstract

Brazil is the largest and most populated Latin American Country. Brazil has undergone three centuries of Portuguese rule and became independent in the year 1822 with a monarchical system till 1889. A republican form of government came into existence in place of a Monarchical form of government. The country has witnessed many forms of government that include state autonomy and centralization, authoritarianism to democracy and a military coup. The Constitution of 1946 was amended several times through institutional acts which tried to eliminate the democratic character. During the 1970s when authoritarian rule was at its maximum Brazilians to a large extent accepted the existing situation. The elections of 1985 in Brazil were a milestone event for the civilian President to take over in the process of the democratic transition that had begun a decade earlier when President Ernesto Geisel began to relax the repressive measures on which the authoritarian government had relied before. The political liberalization process through the political mobilization that was taking in the past nine years starting from 1974 to 1983 significantly changed towards the end of 1983. Democracy has made significant contributions to development in Brazil in many ways. The most significant achievements of democracy in Brazil can be considered Political stability, social inclusion, economic development, transparency and accountability, rule of law and most importantly uplifting the field of education. Women's rights have got their place, a constitution with a certain stability, scientific and technological development and improved foreign relations were a few more contributions of Democracy to Development in Brazil.

 Abstract

Vati is a commonly used traditional medicinal formulation in Ayurveda, an ancient system of medicine that has been practiced for thousands of years in India. Vatis are herbal pills or tablets prepared using a combination of herbs, minerals, and other natural ingredients, and they play a crucial role in Ayurvedic therapeutics. However, the lack of standardized manufacturing processes and quality control measures has led to significant variations in the composition and efficacy of Vati products available in the market. These abstract highlights the importance of standardization in the production of Vati and outlines the key aspects of this standardization process. Standardization involves defining and maintaining consistent quality and efficacy parameters for Vati formulations to ensure their safety and effectiveness.

 Abstract

Quest for identity is a recurrent theme in literature. It delves into the complexities of self-discovery, personal fulfillment, and the journey to define one's individuality in the context of societal, cultural, and personal influences. This quest is often portrayed in various forms in literary works and extends to the exploration of identity in psychology and philosophy. The quest for identity among African women has been a profound and complex theme in literature, reflecting the multifaceted challenges, experiences, and aspirations of women across the African continent. African women's literature often addresses the intersectionality of identities, considering factors such as race, ethnicity, class, and gender. Flora Nwapa, a pioneering Nigerian writer and one of the prominent figures in African literature, often explored the quest for identity among women in her works. Through her novels, including Efuru, Idu, One is Enough, Women are Different, and Never Again Nwapa presented a nuanced and empowering portrayal of female characters as they navigated societal expectations, gender roles, and their own aspirations.

 Abstract

The current work aimed to create a High-Performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC) fingerprint profile of Lantana camara linn extracts with marker compound (Lantana camara linn oil). For the purpose of separating the components from the various extracts, chromatographic techniques were applied. An HPTLC fingerprint profile of extracts in several solvents including methanol, chloroform, acetone, and Pet. Ether was intended to be developed in this work The utilization of an automated TLC (Thin-Layer Chromatography) applicator with a solvent mixture comprising Acetic acid: toluene: Ethyl acetate: Methanol (0.5:8:2:0.5 v/v/v/v) was employed for the separation of compounds in the extracts. TLC analysis was conducted on silica gel-coated aluminum plates from Merck. Furthermore, an HPTLC (High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography) methodology has been developed for the separation of active components within these extracts. This HPTLC method is suitable for both qualitative and quantitative analysis and can be effectively employed for the standardization of plant extracts. It can be used for routine quality checks of current species.
