 Abstract

A Non-experimental quantitative cross-sectional descriptive survey design was adopted in the present study. The population consists of staff nurses working in the selected private Hospitals at Jodhpur. A sample size of 75 staff nurses were selected by using purposive sampling technique. A structured knowledge/ awareness questionnaire, attitude scale and structured expressed practice questionnaire was used for data collection. The main findings of study show that 64%, 86.66% and 49.33% of staff nurses had moderately adequate level of awareness, moderately favourable level of attitude and moderately adequate level of expressed practices regarding medicolegal responsibilities in patient care respectively. There is a significant moderate positive correlation between awareness and attitude (r=0.41, p=0.001) and attitude and expressed practices (r=0.63, p=0.001) and awareness and expressed practices (r=0.51, p=0.001) regarding medico-legal responsibilities in patient care among staff nurses. The majority of socio-demographic variables were found not significant association except age and clinical experience in years with the level of awareness, qualification, area of working and exposure with legal issues with the level of attitude and age, qualification, clinical experience in years and job satisfaction with the level of expressed practices found significant association regarding medicolegal responsibilities in patient care among staff nurses respectively. The findings of the study have implication for nursing practices, nursing education, nursing administration and nursing research. Identification and management of medicolegal issues in patient care is a very important aspect of providing highest quality patient care in hospital settings. The nurses play a major role in providing patient care to avoid medicolegal issues. It is concluded that nurses lack in awareness, need to have favourable attitude and adequate expressed practices regarding medico-legal responsibilities in patient care to provide quality care. Nurse administrator should conduct an Inservice programmes to improve staff nurses' level of awareness, attitude and expressed practices to avoid legal issues in patient care.

 Abstract

Education system is getting revised in a progressive manner and it is at this point of time the new educational approach of integrating KWHLAQ strategy to Problem Based Learning has its importance. Problem Based Learning can be regarded as a powerful concept for active learning in education, but is left with no structure to implement if a proper strategy is not aligned with PBL. This paper aims to explore the effectiveness of KWHLAQ strategy if integrated with ProblemBased Learning (PBL) as an innovative approach to meet the PBL principles in a well-structured, organized and guided manner. The KWHLAQ strategy provides a framework that aligns with the core principles of PBL, in in which the learners actively involve in finding solution for ill structured problems related to real-world contexts provided in PBL scenario. The explanation on synergies between PBL and the KWHLAQ strategy, demonstrating how the latter can enhance problem-solving give a deeper insight of why this approach is significant.

 Abstract

Abstract The educational philosophies of Indian thinkers have stressed that education must be comprehensive and should aim at the development of the total personality of the individual in harmony with society and nature. Sri Aurobindo too has placed emphasis on all round development of the personality, which includes education of the senses, body, mind, moral and religious education and thus integral education is the combination of 5 domains - 1) The physical being 2) The vital being 3) The psychic being 4) The mental being 5) Spiritual being. Sri Aurobindo's philosophy of education research had a functional value only when its concerns emerge from events and problems that are experienced here and now. In this context the thematic problem-oriented type of research study acquires great significance. In the present study, the researcher has attempted to assess the effectiveness of integral education of Sri Aurobindo at cognitive and non-Cognitive level of 3 types of school - Delhi Administration, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Public school. Sample of study was selected by purposive sampling method. 180 students (60 each) of class 9th and total 42 teachers from the district West of Delhi were the sample. Observation schedule, Attitude scale and Achievement Test were the tools used in this research. The data was analyzed quantitatively as well as qualitatively. For quantitative analysis SPSS was used. The data was analyzed after intervention of tools of the study and the major findings of the study is that there was a significant difference in cognitive and non-Cognitive learning outcomes of Sri Aurobindo's integrated approach as compared to traditional educational approach. Sri Aurobindo's integral education gives complete description of education system and also the consciousness structure of the human being.

 Abstract

There are high recovery claims for damages suffered by patients in world's richest countries, inspite of best medical care system developed countries face several malpractice suits. Often bad decisions, mistakes and failure to diagnose and treat patients properly attract liability of law. Lofty compensations are claimed against careless medical providers. In developed countries there are caps on damage claims, therefore medical insurance both by the doctors and patients are mandatorily availed to be protected under insurance coverage benefits. The medical malpractice systems around the developed counties of the globe has astonished the Indians who has very meagre idea about medical negligence issues. Hence the Indian Government at the centre and state apply these medical negligence laws of the developed countries to help patients' victims of medical negligence in getting justice from competent courts and authorities.

 Abstract

The genre known as "cli-fi," or climate fiction, has gained prominence as a means of artistically addressing the complex realities of environmental degradation and climate change. This ecocritical study looks at how climate fiction explores the potential for resilience and adaptation, the interconnectedness of ecosystems, the ethical ramifications of human choices, and the catastrophic effects of climate change. These stories force readers to confront the unimaginable consequences of inaction and to consider the psychological and emotional aspects of the climate catastrophe. The analysis, viewed through a critical lens, demonstrates how cli-fi emphasises the moral responsibilities of individuals, critiques anthropocentrism, and imagines hopeful futures amid despair. Furthermore, the genre promotes empathy and understanding by amplifying diverse voices, especially those of marginalised communities that are disproportionately affected by climate change. In the end, climate fiction is a potent tool for igniting social change and raising awareness of our shared responsibility for creating a sustainable future.

 Abstract

The current manuscript deals with the computational analysis of Fenfluramine molecule using the Density Functional Theory (DFT) method under the basis set 6-311++g(d,p) with B3LYP method performed using the Gaussian 09W software. The computational study provides the quantum chemical parameters that help in the elucidation of the geometrical conformations of the molecule and its physio-chemical properties. The HOMO-LUMO analysis of the molecule is carried out to illuminate the electronic excitation, the kinetic stability and the bioactive behaviour of the molecule. The chemical reactivity, electronic charge transfer and electrophilic nature are explained by the quantum chemical descriptors of the molecules. The stabilization energy of the electronic charge transfer for their respective atomic orbitals is obtained from the NBO analysis. The hyperpolarizability, polarizability and dipole moment of the molecule is calculated to predict the NLO behaviour of the molecule.

 Abstract

This study explores the online buying behaviour of consumers towards consumer durables, with a focus on Bengaluru, a leading technological hub in India. As online shopping continues to transform consumer purchasing patterns, this research investigates the key factors influencing online purchases, including convenience, price sensitivity, and perceived risks. Using a sample of 533 respondents, the study highlights the demographic profile of online buyers, revealing a predominance of females, a high percentage of postgraduate-educated individuals, and a significant representation of private sector employees. The findings show that a majority of respondents make frequent online purchases, with Amazon and Flipkart being the preferred platforms. Additionally, self-interest plays a major role in driving online purchases, with a notable increase in nuclear families contributing to the rise in consumerism. By examining the impact of these factors on the online marketplace for consumer durables, the study provides critical insights for marketers aiming to engage effectively with the evolving digital consumer landscape.

 Abstract

This study examines the evolution and impact of the Aadhaar initiative in India, launched by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in 2009. The Aadhaar system, introduced to streamline service delivery and enhance identity verification, has become a crucial tool in various government programs and financial transactions. However, it has also sparked significant debate over privacy and data security concerns. This research specifically focuses on the awareness and perceptions of college students regarding masked Aadhaar cards, which provide enhanced privacy by concealing portions of the Aadhaar number. The findings reveal that while a majority of students are aware of the masked Aadhaar card, many have yet to apply for it, indicating a gap in understanding its benefits. The study highlights the need for targeted awareness campaigns to educate the public about the advantages of masked Aadhaar cards, particularly in preventing identity theft and protecting personal information. Overall, the research underscores the potential of masked Aadhaar cards in promoting data privacy while facilitating essential identification processes in modern governance.

 Abstract

Lung disease identification is an important field of research in healthcare, and non-invasive approaches such as human voice analysis have gained traction. This study investigates the use of deep learning approaches, such as 1D Convolutional Neural Networks (1D CNN), Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN), Long Short-Term Memory networks(LSTM), and Gated Recurrent Units (GRU), to automatically diagnose lung disorders using human voice data. The suggested models, which extract relevant features from voice recordings, aim to discover patterns linked with various lung disorders such as COPDchronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) ,pneumonia, and URTI. The 1D CNN and CNN are used to extract features and recognise patterns from audio inputs, while the LSTM and GRU networks are used to capture temporal relationships and sequential patterns. A dataset of speech samples labelled with the respective lung disease categories is utilised to train and evaluate the models. The performance of each deep learning architecture is measured using accuracy. The results show that these models are successful at recognising lung disorders, laying the groundwork for non-invasive, early-stage diagnosis via speech analysis. This study highlights deep learning's potential voice analysis as a viable tool for the rapid and precise diagnosis of lung disorders, perhaps resulting in earlier intervention and better patient outcomes.
