 Abstract

This comprehensive review explores the efficacy of guided imagery as a therapeutic intervention to enhance psychological well-being among mastectomy patients. Breast cancer, often necessitating mastectomy, presents not only physical but profound emotional challenges. Guided imagery, rooted in the power of imagination, offers a promising avenue for addressing these psychological struggles. The review begins by dissecting the psychological impact of mastectomy, shedding light on the anxiety, body image concerns, depression, and fear of recurrence that often accompany this transformative experience. It then delves into the essence of guided imagery, elucidating how it creates positive sensory experiences within the mind, fostering relaxation and emotional healing. Crucially, the mechanisms of action behind guided imagery are explored, revealing its ability to distract from distressing thoughts, facilitate emotional expression, empower individuals, and reduce stress. Clinical evidence and case studies are scrutinized to provide empirical support for guided imagery's positive impact. Lastly, the review outlines future directions, advocating for tailored interventions, longitudinal studies, and comparative effectiveness research. Practical recommendations are offered for healthcare professionals, emphasizing the importance of incorporating guided imagery as part of a holistic approach to care for mastectomy patients. In conclusion, guided imagery emerges as a valuable therapeutic tool that holds the potential to alleviate emotional distress, empower individuals, and foster resilience, ultimately enhancing the psychological well-being of mastectomy patients on their journey to recovery and survivorship. This comprehensive review explores the efficacy of guided imagery as a therapeutic intervention to enhance psychological well-being among mastectomy patients.  Abstract

Introduction: Lower back pain is one of the most common painful condition which is experienced by all age groups. Ayurveda treatment of such conditions depends upon the acute or chronic causes, on which the physician decide whether emergency or conservative line of treatment is best. In Ayurveda, Trikgraha and Katigraha come under vaat vyadhis. For vaat vyadhis the common line of treatment mentioned in classics is snehana, swedana and shodhana. In this study total 40 patients of Katishoola were treated with Katibasti with Yogabasti and with only Yogabasti. Objectives: To compare the effect of Katibasti with Yogabasti and only Yogabasti in management of Katishoola Methods: 40 patients of either sex, diagnosed as Katishoola, were randomly assigned into two groups, Group A and Group B, each comprising minimum of 20 patients. Group A: 20 patients were given Katibasti with Sahacharadhi Taila & Eranda moolaadi Yogabasti. Group B: 20 patients were given Niruha basti in the form of Yogabasti. The assessment was done using subjective and objective parameters. Results: In Group A. 16 (80%) patients were gained complete remission. 4 (20%) patients were got just marked improvement. In Group B. 10 (50%) patients were gained complete remission. 10 (50%) patients were got marked improvement. Both the groups proved to be effective in combating the disease Katishoola but 'Katibasti with Yogabasti' is more effective than only 'Yogabasti' in Katishoola.

 Abstract

Asthikshaya i.e. Osteoporosis is a condition in which there will be kshaya (diminution) of Asthidhatu (bone tissue). Asthikshaya may be compared to Osteoporosis, in which there is a decrease in bone mass leading to increased in bone fragility and susceptibility to fractures. Osteoporosis is a commonest condition affecting the older population. According to the principle of Ashraya Ashrayee Bhava, when Vata increases Asthi decreases because, Vata and Asthi are inversely proportional to each other. Hence the etiological factors of Vata Vriddhi are the causative factors for Asthikshaya. Apart from this, the causative factors for Asthikshaya can also be taken as the factors for the vitiation of Medavaha, Asthivaha, Majjavaha and Purishavaha Srotas as well. Thus very complex mechanism involves in the Samprapti of Asthikshaya. By the above mentioned results, the pathogenetic factors of the provoked Vata, either by Dhatukshaya or by Margavarana, enters the Rikta Asthivaha Srotas or leads to Asthikshaya. The clinical features of Asthikshaya are Asthishoola, Toda, Sandhi Shaithilya, Kesha, Loma, Nakha, Danta Paata, Dourbalya, Rukshata etc. As per Acharya Charak & Vagbhata, the remedial measures in the disorder of Asthi consist of the Panchkarma therapy Basti prepared with the Tiktadravya, Ksheera and Ghrita along with the use of Swayoni dravyas. The present clinical study was undertaken to evaluate the efficacy of Matra Basti and Tikta Ksheera in the management of Asthiksahya w.s.r. to Osteoporosis Aims & Objectives: To evaluate the effect of Matra Basti and Tikta Ksheera Basti on Asthiksahya w.s.r. to Osteoporosis. Methodology: In Group-A 15 patients were given Matra basti & In Group-B 15 patients were given Tikta ksheera basti Result: Among 15 patients in group A, marked improvement was found in 3 patients, and 12 patients were moderately improved in lakshana of Asthikshaya. Among 15 patients in group B, marked improvement was found in 5 patients and 10 patients were moderately improved. In this study the Group- B (Tikta ksheera basti) shows slightly good results than Group-A (Matra basti) in all the symptoms in combating the disease Asthikshaya.

 Abstract

Donkey milk is the milk from the domesticated donkey. It has been used since antiquity for cosmetic purposes as well as infant nutrition.Donkey milk has been used by humans for alimentary and cosmetic purposes since Egyptian antiquity. Doctors recommended it to treat several afflictions, due to its healing and cosmetic virtues. Donkey milk (DM) has gained scientific attention in recent years.Because it has compelling nutrients and functional elements.(Mansueto et al. 2013 There are much similarites in chemical compositions of human milk and donkey milk.Donkey's milk is used as an alternative for infants with multiple food allergies and intolerances.Recently, fermented beverages based on donkey milk were proposed as important sources of probiotics and antioxidants with several health benefits. Donkey milk contains high levels of lactose and minimal amounts of casein and fat. One of the main particularities of Donkey milk is its high lysozyme's content. Lysozyme shows antibacterial activity against numerous Gram-positive bacteria; including lactic acid bacteria (LAB). Recently, overuse of antibiotics has led to the emergence and spread of high bacterial resistance, making difficult to treat infections involving tremendous research efforts by the medical and scientific community(Chiavari et al. 2005).In fact, living organisms have developed an immense molecular diversity, containing ubiquitous low molecular weight secondary metabolites isolated from plants, insects, marine organisms, and other microorganisms, including lactic acid bacteria (LAB).

 Abstract

Presently in the 21st century, women empowerment is the most important topic of discussion in the half of the world's population. From the beginning, women have been deprived of social, economic, educational and political development. This shows the backward position of women in the society. Initially, the society and the rulers did not do any important work for the education of women. If we look at the Vedic period, there was definitely no restriction on women, there women were given equal preference as men at almost every level. But by the time of medieval period, women had to face many bad practices like sati system, child marriage, devadasi system, slave system, purdah system and female slaughter. In the last decades of the 19th century, many great social reformers like Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, not only raised their voice against these evil practices prevalent in front of women, but also contributed in ending many evil practices. Various social and religious reform movements came into existence after India's independence and raised many questions for the rights of marginalized women in terms of their social, economic, religious, political and educational development. After independence, legal protection was provided to the rights of women through the Indian Constitution. Many movements and laws have been made for women empowerment by the central government and the state governments at their own level as well. If we see from the legal point of view, there is no deficiency in the legal provisions of the nation for women empowerment, if the need is to implement those legal provisions properly and adopt the quick justice process. It should also be noted here that it is meaningless to talk about women's rights and women's empowerment only through legal provisions. For this, we have to positively change the mindset of the students and people from the school and college level itself. The first beginning of respect for these mothers of the world who emit energy in the society should be from their home. Governments have to keep in mind that the protection of women's rights should not be done by merely making laws. Strong machinery will also have to be upgraded for their comprehensive protection, promotion and implementation. This research paper of mine is also based on women empowerment through various legal provisions.

 Abstract

Water is an important natural resource that acts as the backbone for every living thing to survive. India accounts for 4 percent of fresh water, according to the Water Resources Information System, but this varies with the distribution of water. However, changing trends in drinking water quality and access have already been studied. The project's primary goal is to examine the trends in drinking water quality over a 25-year period in each block of the study region. The second objective is to study the underground water level in the study area so that we can get information about the rise or fall of the ground water level in the last twenty-five years. The study's third goal is to identify the source of drinking water and the distance travelled by households to obtain it. Eastern Hisar district is facing the problem of water logging, so the quality of drinking water is low in this area. There are many other factors contributing to the low quality of drinking water, such as excessive use of fertilisers in agriculture, lack of awareness, urbanisation, mismanagement of water, digging toilets (cutcha), borewells, etc. The purpose of the research was to evaluate the local drinking water's quality, accessibility to homes, and changes in ground water levels. It is helpful to make people aware of modern technology for water conservation, policies by the government to improve water facilities, and self-treatment of drinking water at home.

 Abstract

: In today's health-care environment, science and knowledge are founded on wireless-sensing node technology, and this has allowed for significant development. Patients are put in the precarious position of having an unexpected death as a consequence of the specific cause of heart difficulties and heart attacks, which is the absence of good medical maintenance being provided to patients at the appropriate moment. This is for the purpose of specifically monitoring elderly individuals, as well as notifying medical professionals and loved ones. As a result, we are recommending the implementation of a new initiative known as Patient Health Monitoring. This method employs sensor technology and makes use of the internet to communicate with the patient's loved ones in the event that there is a problem. This method monitors a patient's overall health by monitoring their heartbeat. The sensor has been linked up to the NodeMCU (ESP8266). In order to keep track of the patient's health, the microcontroller is interfaced to a wi-fi connection, which then sends the data to the web server that acts as the wireless sensing node. Over the network, this system also displays patients' heartbeat data in real time, complete with timestamps. Therefore, a patient health monitoring system that is based on IoT makes use of the internet to efficiently monitor patient health. This not only assists the user in watching their loved ones while they are at work, but it also helps save lives.
