Ketosis is a common metabolic disorder of dairy cows that occurs mainly due to negative energy balance (NEB) and its prevalence results in reduced milk yield and poor reproductive performance. The diagnosis of the ketosis in the subclinical stage will prevent metabolic deterioration and stops production losses. In the present study, an in-house bovine ketosis diagnostic kit (KetoQuant) that detects ?-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) in milk samples was developed and its diagnostic sensitivity and specificity were estimated in comparison with a commercially available milk strip test. Of 702 milk samples screened, using 0.2 mmol of BHB as a cut-off for diagnosing sub-clinical ketosis, the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity were estimated to be 99.5% and 99.2% respectively with the positive predictive value of 99.5% and a Kappa value of 0.988. Thus, the developed KetoQuant kit is useful as an affordable cow-side test for BHB detection in milk samples for routine monitoring of ketosis in cows.

In this paper ,the eigenvalues in the time-domain, we can say ,indirectly the poles of system functions in the s-domain, are used to determine the dynamics of the systems in circuit analysis of linear circuit. This paper deals with an efficient method to determine the eigenvalues of linear electrical circuits. It is based on characteristic equation obtained by applying nodal and mesh analysis. Its applications are simpler than the state-space representation. This paper gives the dominant method for evaluation of Eigenvalues.

Change is the law of nature, and Education is not an exception to this. In this digital era, many innovative technologies have their influence on the teaching-learning process. Flipped learning is one such innovative pedagogy that attempts to increase student involvement and Engagement in learning. Flipped learning reverses the traditional learning environment by delivering the content outside the classroom and actively engaging students in learning activities during the class-time. In this experimental study, the researcher has attempted to investigate the differences in Learning Engagement of Secondary School Students who were taught using Flipped Learning Instructional Pedagogy compared to Traditional Learning mode. The analysis of the data collected shows that there is a significant difference in the mean scores of Learning Engagement of students who were taught using Flipped Learning and Traditional learning mode. Further, students taught using Flipped Learning were found to have better Learning Engagement and higher participation in the classroom activities than their counterparts.

Indian women are playing a crucial role in this era of globalization. They are also playing a considerable role in the progress of our country and in increasing the real per capita income. Though entrepreneurship, women are being acknowledged as job providers rather than job seekers. They are contributed by giving new and innovative ideas for business management and organization. Nevertheless, the involvement of women in entrepreneurial activities is still a matter of concern and the reasons for low participation of females in the field of entrepreneurship are needed to be analyzed or discussed. The paper reveals the status of women as an entrepreneur in India. The paper discussed about the challenges that a woman generally has to face to become an entrepreneur as well as the problems she faces after being an entrepreneur.

The present study aimed to express the worse effect of non-nutritional sweetener aspartame on streptozotocin (STZ) induced diabetic male Wistar rats. Aspartame was non-nutritional and low-calorie sugars which are nearly 200 times sweeter than table sugar sucrose. In this experiment we categorized four groups as control (C), Aspartame (ASP) (50mg/kg b.wt daily), Diabetic (D) (STZ single dose 45mg/kg b.wt) Diabetic+Aspartame (D+ASP) (STZ single dose 45mg/kg b.wt +ASP 50mg/kg b.wt daily). The blood serum concentration levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TGs), very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL),low-density lipoprotein (LDL) increased, and high-density lipoproteins (HDL) are decreased both in diabetic and aspartame administered rats. In this study, the serum levels of the above markers, which were highly increased in diabetes (D)and aspartame (ASP) consumed rats group when compared to control group rats. Therefore, Aspartame metabolites show negative effects on blood circulation, leading to stress-related disorders and dyslipidemia.

Preparation of electoral rolls and periodically revising the electoral rolls is the main function of the Election Commission. The Election Commission conducts elections to the Parliament, state legislatures, to the offices of President and Vice-President. The Election Commission is empowered to cancel the poll if any irregularities like rigging, proxy voting, pouring of ink into the ballot boxes, replacement of ballot boxes have taken place during the time of election and counting of the votes and order repoll. It is also the responsibility of the Election Commission to hold by-elections whenever there arises a vacancy in the Lok Sabha or Legislative Assembly either because of the resignation of sitting M.Ps or M.L.As or because of the death of M.P or M.L.A. One of the important functions of the Election Commission is to recognize political parties as National or Regional political parties and to allot them election symbols. The Election Commission should be empowered to deregister a Political Party if it involves in serious malpractices during the time of elections. The Election Commission should be empowered to advice the Presiding Officers of both Parliament and state legislature for disqualification of the members of either House of Parliament or State legislature.

This paper tries to introduce about Fee Waiver Scheme and it's objective and criteria and challenges of 21st century society. Our era is often said to be a time of rapid technological change, but the social changes occurring in this country and elsewhere are equally dramatic. Society often has sufficient experience and knowledge to make better-informed decisions, but it is not always prepared to use this wisdom from the social and behavioral sciences. As we approach the first quarter of the 21st century, schools, universities and society at large are asking fundamental questions about education. We are in a paradigm-shifting age where technological, demographic, social, environmental, economic and political shifts are forcing us to redefine what our educational structure should be.So in the pursuit of uplifting socially and economically backward sections, the Government of India has come up with various plans. To pull the marginalized sections of the society from the current predicament, the Government of India has announced:Education loan subsidies, Fee Waivers,Scholarship Schemes. To avail the benefits under the Government schemes, students will have to meet the eligibility criterion. The Government of India has introduced some changes as an effort to increase the number of beneficiaries under the scheme and eligibility criteria. Due to several historical reasons, the children belonging to SC and ST category find it difficult to reach to the corridors of the institutions of higher and technical education. It shall be the endeavour of the Government to see that no eligible SC/ST students are deprived of higher education for want of resources. The beneficiaries under the scheme shall be entitled to receive full waiver of the fees supposed to have been paid by them in the institutions where they have sought admissions.

Introduction: The treatment of mental disorder depends on the cause or diagnosis. The first line treatment for many disorders is antipsychotic drugs. There are growing evidence that behavior therapy, family therapy, group therapy can be effective in managing symptoms. When other treatments for psychosis are ineffective, one such treatment which is beneficial is electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is utilized to relieve symptoms of psychosis. The aim of the study was to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching program on knowledge of nursing students regarding ECT in College of Nursing, CMC & Hospital, Ludhiana, Punjab. Methods: Quasi experimental two group pretest and posttest design was considered to be appropriate, Purposive sampling technique was used by inclusion/ exclusion criteria to select the subjects for the sample. The total sample size for study was 60 nursing students this includes B.Sc (N) interns and GNM 3rd year. The data collection procedure was carried out in the month of February with the help of a systematically prepared structured questionnaire. Pretest was taken first from both control and experimental group. The time given for pretest was and posttest was 20-30 minutes. Posttest of control group was taken on 3rd day after pretest and on the next day structured teaching was given to the experimental group with the help of lesson plan and AV aids. The time spent in the structured teaching was 30-40 minutes. The control group was not exposed to structured teaching. The posttest of the experimental group was conducted on 4th day after structured teaching. Results: According to age in control group majority of nursing students were in the age group of 19-21years (53.3%) followed by 22-24years (43.3%) and in age group > 24 years (3.3%) respectively. In the experimental group majority of nursing students were in the age group of 19-21years (63.3%) followed by 22-24years (33.3%) and in age group > 24 years (3.3%) respectively. According to type of course in both the control and experimental groups B.Sc (N) interns (50%) and GNM 3rd year (50%) nursing students were there respectively. According to religion majority of nursing students in control and experimental group were Christian (40% and 66.6%) followed by hindu and sikh (30% and 16.6%) respectively. According to source of information in control and group, majority of nursing students were having information from TV/ Internet, (63.3%) followed by from Parents/ Relatives/ Friends (26.6%) and Journal/ Magazine/ Newspaper (10%) respectively. In the experimental group majority of nursing students were having information from TV/ Internet, (60%) followed by from Parents/ Relatives/ Friends (23.3%) and Journal/ Magazine/ Newspaper (16.6%) respectively. The pretest and posttest mean knowledge compared and was statically highly significant at p<0.001 level among nursing students in experimental group.
