The purpose of this study was to measure the relationship of reaction time, agility, speed of movement and flexibility to the performance of subjects in 110 meter hurdles event. The subjects for this study were 10 male hurdlers of L.N.I.P.E., Gwalior who have participated in M.P. State Athletic Meet. The age group of subjects was 16 to 25 years. Reaction time was measured by Anand's electronic reaction time apparatus; Shuttle run (4 x 10 yards) was used to access the agility; speed of movement was represented by 50 yard dash test and while sit and reach test was used to check the flexibility of the subjects. The performance of the subjects was also recorded in 110 meter hurdles. The product moment correlation method was used in order to find the relationship between the performance of subjects in the event of 110 meter hurdles and Reaction time, Agility, Speed of movement and Flexibility. The finding of the study revealed that these were insignificant relationship between the reaction time, agility, speed of movement and flexibility to the performance in 110 meter hurdles. The obtained values of correlations were found insignificant at 0.05 level.

Abstract: The ever mutating sphere of literary criticism gets updated with innovative ideologies which open up spaces for further analysis of the existing theories in a different light with reference to the newly emerging ones. Postcolonial Ecocriticism is such a field of study incorporating both the subject matters of the two distinct areas of study: Postcolonialism, which is the reclaiming and relocating the past of the colonies and Ecocriticism that propagates an analysis of the role and portrayal of nature in literary genres. Postcolonialism being anthropocentric in its inclination appears to study only the crisis and issues related to culture and human beings which deviates from accepting nature as a significant phenomenon. But the essence of Nature is undeniable in the process of formation of a distinct culture or a society. It is even overlooked that the nature also undergoes colonization simultaneously with the colonization of a country. Ecocriticism from a postcolonial perspective directly advocates the idea that nature must be regarded as a whole entity including man, living and non living organisms, culture, and society and so on. Moreover, it argues that nature is facing threats due to industrialization, population blast, global warming and human greed for more satisfaction and comfort through material means resulting in the endangerment of the 'wilderness' of nature. Consequently, sustainability must be our lone concern while performing any act upon the nature. Reef by the Sri Lanka born author Romesh Gunesekera is a pleasing narrative centered on the story of Triton, a servant to a marine biologist Mr. Salgado. The marine ecosystem in its depleting form remains the principle concern of research to Mr. Salgado beyond which the political upheavals caused by traumatic eventfulness led to a bitter catastrophic experience in the country. This paper attempts to analyze the novel from a postcolonial ecocritical point of view imbibing the diasporic disposition.

The pursuit of women in Indian society has ever been remained a matter of conflict since the time immemorial. A woman is supposed to play so many roles during her entire lifetime. Traditional male-dominated setup of society wants a woman to play the obedient and submissive role throughout her whole life, having no voice or freedom of her own. While some thinkers and social reformers of the ancient times, seems to be in favour of providing women of Indian society with some freedom, where she may be able to flourish herself as an independent individual. But most of the members of male dominated society and even some thinkers are against the freedom of woman. The modern times have been changed towards the liberty of women where the women are working outside their homes to enjoy economic independence and trying to establish their own independent identity within the society, they live in. But instead of this hard fact, the traditional role is also expected to play from the part of women and is considered as the important aspect of the customs and values of society. Therefore, orthodox thinking is yet prevailed in our community even after the modernity has entered in our society and in our daily lifestyle, which is the main cause of clash between modernity and conventional values of the society.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the seventh major cause of human death in 2030 will be diabetes, which of course is a very severe disease and if not treated thoroughly and on time, can lead to critical problems, including death. Millions of people are affected by the disease. The risk of diabetes is increasing day by day and is found mostly in women than men. The diagnosis of diabetes is a tedious process. Diabetic retinopathy is a disease caused by uncontrolled chronic diabetes and it can cause complete blindness if not timely treated. Therefore early medical diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy and it medical cure is essential to prevent the severe side effects of diabetic retinopathy. Manual detection of diabetic retinopathy by ophthalmologist take plenty of time and patients need to suffer a lot at this time. So with improvement in science and technology it is made easy to predict the disease. The purpose is to diagnose whether the person is affected by diabetes or not using classification based machine learning technique. This paper reviews, classifies and compares the algorithms and techniques previously proposed in order to develop better and more effective algorithms.

Technical advancement has given a backseat to the writing activity, but we cannot underestimate the importance of writing skills. Writing is the most difficult of the language skills. It is a skill in which we produce a sequence of sentences arranged in a particular order. It is a production skill involving, manipulating, structuring, and communicating, Learning to write in English is a mode of communication. In the present world scenario, whether you like it or dislike it, learning English has become mandatory to perform better and to march ahead in this competitive world. A teacher has to prepare the learner to develop their writing skill in real-life settings. But many times, this learning becomes examination-oriented. Learning to write is not just a natural extension of learning to speak a language. A close relationship between writing and thinking makes writing a valuable part of any language course. Writing is one of the most demanding skills, which has to be deliberately cultivated.

COVID-19 is extremely infectious that spreads quickly from across the world, making early diagnosis critical. COVID-19 diagnosis is critical. Numerous investigations have been performed to ascertain if patients' chest X-rays, as well as computed tomography (CT), scans reveal COVID-19 infection. COVID-19 illness results on computed tomography (CT), as well as X-ray imaging, are like those of other lung infections, making it problematic for medical experts to differentiate COVID-19. The purpose of this research has been to determine the role of machine learning, deep learning, or pictures processing within fast or precise identification of COVID19 from two of the most frequently used medical imaging modalities, chest X-ray or CT pictures. We evaluated performance of ML and DL techniques on chest X-ray pictures as well as CT scans to COVID-19 diagnosis in this research. The proposed convolutional neural networks (CNNs) using the Alexnet Model for CAD of coronavirus from CT and X-ray pictures. The efficiency of this technique was checked on the data set obtained. We classified COVID-19 CT & X-ray scans as well as examined the evolution of the condition of the patients via CT scans. Accuracy of these techniques varied from 93.25 percent to more than 99.82 percent, suggesting that machines, as well as deep learning methods, apply to the clinical diagnosis of COVID-19. The trials carried out in this research have shown the efficacy of the pretrained COVID-19 alexnet model of CNN.

Automated computer-vision-based defect detection has received much attention with the increasing surface quality assurance demands for the industrial manufacturing It can be divided into colour analysis, dimension verification, and surface defect detection, which is the main purpose of our work. Defects detection is still based on the judgment of human operators while most of the other manufacturing activities are automated so, our work is a quality control enhancement by integrating a visual control stage using image processing and morphological operation techniques before the packing operation to improve the homogeneity of batches received by final users. An survey of automated defect detection and classification technique that can ensured the better quality of tiles in manufacturing process as well as production rate.

ABSTRACT Background Tobacco use is generally perceived as an adult problem. The diseases widely caused by tobacco are mostly seen to afflict the older population, yet tobacco use most often starts in youth, vast majority start consuming tobacco before the age of 25 years. Tobacco use has injurious effects on oral health. The oral health is an important aspect of community health. To plan important interventions it is necessary to find out the prevalence and factors associated with them. This study is aimed at assessing the knowledge of adults on hazards of tobacco consumption on oral health and to assess their oral health status. Objectives of the study 1.To assess the oral health status of adults consuming tobacco using observational checklist. 2.To determine the knowledge on hazards of tobacco consumption on oral health. 3.To find an association between oral health status and knowledge on hazards of tobacco consumption on oral health. Methods A descriptive correlative approach was used for this study. The study was carried out in Datia. Research design was correlative design. The sample comprised of 100 adults consuming tobacco (50 tobacco smokers and 50 tobacco chewers). Sample was selected using purposive sampling technique. Formal written permission was obtained to conduct the study and informed consent was obtained from the adults prior to data collection process. Using a structured interview schedule and observation checklist data was collected. Data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics (unpaired t-test and chi-square test). Result The results of this study showed that there was no significant difference between the knowledge score of tobacco smokers and tobacco chewers (t 98= 0.7, p >0.05). There was no significant difference between oral health status of the tobacco smokers and tobacco chewers (t 98 = 1.85, p >0.05). There was no correlation between knowledge on hazards of tobacco consumption on oral health and oral health status of the smokers (r = 0.0015, p > 0.05). There was no correlation between knowledge on hazards of tobacco consumption on oral health and oral health status of the chewers (r = 0.271, p > 0.05). The computed chi square value showed significant association between occupation of tobacco smokers and oral health status (21 =9.09, p< 0.05). The statistical significance was at 0.05 level Interpretation and Conclusion The study revealed that even though the adults had good knowledge on hazards of tobacco consumption on oral health they had poor oral health status. The findings of the study support the need for conducting educational programme to increase the knowledge of adults on tobacco consumption and its related problems. Educating the youth and adults and providing them with correct information can help them to avoid bad habits and develop as healthy citizens.
