 Abstract

This research article explores the mass movements in Manipur during the early twentieth century, focusing on their causes, significance, and long-term impact. Following the British conquest of the state in 1891, a series of administrative and economic changes disrupted Manipur's traditional political and social systems, leading to widespread discontent. The study examines key movements such as the 1904 Women's Agitation, the abolition of the Pothang system in 1913, the Zeliangrong Movement (1930-32), and the Nupi Lan (Women's War) of 1939. These protests, often initiated by marginalized groups, especially women, were responses to economic exploitation, cultural suppression, and social injustice under colonial rule. The article analyzes how these movements, although fragmented and spontaneous, collectively contributed to the larger anti-colonial struggle. The Nupi Lan of 1939, in particular, transformed from a rice price protest into a political demand for democratic reforms, symbolizing the convergence of economic and political grievances. Through archival research and historical analysis, the study highlights the critical role of these movements in resisting British imperialism and preserving Manipuri identity. The article argues that these early movements laid the foundation for future resistance, helping to restore the state's pride and autonomy in the face of colonial exploitation.

 Abstract

Affirmative action policies in higher educational institutions in India, while intended to promote equity, often inadvertently perpetuate social hierarchies. This paper explores the role of caste categories in reinforcing discrimination and stigma within academic spaces. Drawing on data from Hyderabad Central University, NALSAR University of Law, and the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), this study highlights how institutional practices, combined with entrenched social biases, maintain and even deepen caste-based divisions. Using interviews, questionnaires, focus groups, and case studies, the research identifies key themes related to the marginalization and exclusion of students from reserved categories.

 Abstract

Maternal mortality continues to be a significant challenge, particularly in developing countries where inadequate healthcare infrastructure and delayed access to services lead to high death rates. This review explores technological advancements that offer solutions to improve maternal health and prenatal care. Mobile health applications, such as pregnancy apps, provide real-time monitoring, gestational age tracking, and decision-making support for expectant mothers and their partners. Internet of Things (IoT) systems are used to monitor critical health parameters like blood pressure, temperature, and ECG signals, enabling remote care, particularly in regions with limited healthcare access Additionally, machine learning techniques, like the Naive Bayes algorithm, have proven effective in diagnosing mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression in pregnant women, achieving high accuracy rates. Wireless sensors further aid in continuously tracking fetal movements and maternal health, sending real-time alerts to medical professionals when abnormalities arise. Furthermore, Android-based systems have been developed to predict the risk of stunting in newborns by applying forward chaining techniques, providing preventive recommendations for high-risk pregnancies. Collectively, these technological innovations address key challenges in maternal healthcare, offering scalable, data-driven solutions for early diagnosis, continuous monitoring, and improved decision-making. This review emphasizes the potential of integrating mobile apps, IoT, machine learning, and data analytics to reduce maternal mortality and improve both maternal and fetal health outcomes globally, especially in resource-limited settings.

 Abstract

The Hindustani musical instrument tabla is made up of two drums, right handed "daya" and the left handed "baya". The various tones generated from this instrument is determined by the way in which the strokes are being made and its mode of applying . The syahi component fabricated on the playing surface of the drums determines the quality of the sound generated. The significance of the "syahi" preparation and the method of playing in contributing the musical tones of the instrument were investigated. Detailed analysis of the tones using digital audio workstation at various scales with the respective frequencies gave an inner sight into the scientific basis of the quality of the music generated from this percussion instrument. An attempt has been made to characterize the sound formed from tabla in terms of the pitch generated at all the scales from F to F'' using different tabla of varying syahi character.

 Abstract

Independence and interdependence are indispensable ingredients to lead a meaningful and satisfying life, and especially in married life interdependence plays a more important role than independence. This paper investigates various aspects of interapersonal relationships. that emerge between the Indian immigrant couple, Shukumar and Shoba, in Jhumpa Lahiri's short story " A Temporary Matter," approaching the topic from different view points and depths of significance. A chasm is created between them for no fault of them. That is, both of them are not responsible for the death of their child and yet the division widens in due course of time as none of them is willing to look at the problem from the viewpoint of the partner. It is lack of interdependence that mars their married life. And Jhumpa Lahiri's conclusion of the story gives room for different interpretations.

 Abstract

Traffic Problems is a growing problem in many cities. This system addresses this by introducing a movable divider that can be adjusted based on real-time traffic data. Sensors embedded in the road collect traffic data, which is then transmitted to the cloud platform via IoT. The cloud analyzes the data and sends instructions to the divider mechanism, adjusting its position to optimize traffic flow. The algorithm for divider movement considers factors like traffic volume on each side and historical data to predict future patterns. It prioritizes balanced traffic flow but allows for adjustments to create a dedicated lane for detected ambulances. The proposed system offers a dynamic solution for traffic management. It improves traffic flow during peak hours and ensures expedited passage for emergency vehicles, potentially saving lives. The system can be further enhanced by integrating with traffic light control systems and incorporating machine learning algorithms for even more intelligent traffic management.

 Abstract

Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrinopathy in women of reproductive age, resulting from insulin resistance and compensatory hyperinsulinemia. This imbalance affects the ovaries leading to the formation of small cysts. Incidence varies between 8-10%, more common amongst infertile women. In present era due to sedentary life style, lack of physical activities, excessive stress and anxiety worsens the prognosis of the diseases. These are a few signs and symptoms associated with the condition- PCOS. Weight gain Irregular menstrual cycle, Facial hair growth, male pattern baldness, Acne which refuses to heal, pigmentation around the neck region and infertility. Darkening of the skin. Dark patches of skin can form in body creases like those on the neck, in the groin, and under the breasts. Hormone changes can trigger headaches in some women. Rising in prevalence of PCOS has become a great cause of health concern as it is increasing the incidences of infertility and metabolic syndrome i.e. insulin resistance diabetes and dyslipidaemia at a younger age. According to Ayurveda the PCOS involves Kapha and Vata Dosha, Meda, Mamsa, Rakta Dhatus. In general, it is considered as Bahudoshavastha, for which Ayurveda can play important role.  Abstract

This research presents a hybridized econometric and machine learning framework for forecasting inflation in India and evaluating its repercussions on financial markets. By combining traditional methods like Vector Autoregression (VAR) with machine learning models such as Random Forest and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, we improve the accuracy of inflation forecasts. The study reveals that machine learning methods outperform traditional models in capturing non-linear relationships and extended temporal dependencies, which are crucial for emerging markets like India. In addition, the research examines the ripple effects of inflation on market returns, exchange rates, and interest rates, contributing novel insights into the dynamic interactions between inflationary trends and financial market volatility. These findings have important implications for both policymakers and investors, especially in managing inflation risks.

 Abstract

The construction industry is inherently hazardous, necessitating innovative solutions to enhance worker safety. Recent studies highlight the transformative potential of smart helmet technology in this domain. J. Smith et al. (2023) demonstrate how smart helmets improve situational awareness by providing real-time data on environmental hazards and facilitating immediate communication among workers. L. Chen et al. (2023) focus on the real-time monitoring capabilities of these devices, emphasizing their role in tracking vital signs and environmental conditions to mitigate risks. T. Zhang et al. (2023) explore the integration of augmented reality, which enhances task execution by overlaying critical information directly within a worker's field of view. Additionally, A. O'Connor et al. (2023) discuss the positive impact of smart helmets on safety culture, fostering a proactive approach to hazard reporting and safety practices. Finally, M. Torres et al. (2023) address the future of smart helmets, outlining both the innovative advancements and challenges, such as cost and data privacy, that must be addressed to facilitate broader adoption. Collectively, these studies underscore the importance of smart helmets in redefining safety standards in construction, highlighting their potential to significantly reduce workplace accidents and enhance overall safety culture.

 Abstract

This research focuses on developing sustainable fish feed practices in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, addressing the increasing demand for fish in global food production. Aquaculture, a key player in providing high-quality protein, heavily relies on marine resources, particularly fish meal and fish oil. These are not sustainable for long-term use, and the growing demand for fish products poses a significant challenge to the sustainability of aquaculture. The objectives of the research include analyzing current fish feed practices, evaluating the sustainability of existing feed sources, and identifying alternative, locally-sourced protein options for fish feed, such as agricultural by-products and plant-based proteins. The research follows a comprehensive methodology including literature review, fieldwork, interviews with fish farmers, and laboratory analysis of fish feed samples. Preliminary findings indicate a substantial reliance on commercial fish feed, which presents sustainability challenges. Small-scale field trials have been initiated, testing alternative feed sources with active participation from local fish farmers. Stakeholder engagement is emphasized, aiming to promote sustainable fish feed practices. Future research will focus on expanding field trials, conducting more detailed laboratory analyses, and enhancing stakeholder involvement. This study contributes to the development of sustainable practices in aquaculture, with implications for environmental preservation and the long-term viability of the industry in Bihar.
