In this paper, the author have attempted to estimate the noise in hyperspectral images over the belt of 350N to 350S and 1180E to 1180W from the satellite AVIRIS images obtained from JPL, NASA for the period October 1992. The paper aims in particular, to find out the thresholding technique and image transform for satellite image denoising. For this purpose the authors have investigated a few threshold techniques and wavelet transforms. The study shows that the curvelet transform is better than wavelet transform for noise estimation in hyperspectral images.

: Public Administration as a practice is as old as our ancient civilization. But as an independent discipline it cannot claim a long history. The origin and evolution of Public Administration as a distinctive subject can traced from 1887 onwards. Prior to 1887, almost no written materials existed on the art and science of Public Administration . The major turning point in the history of public administration came with an essay written by a young and dynamic leader, Woodrow Wilson(1887), which became symbolic in the evolution of public administration. As a field of systematic and scientific study , public administration is a modern discipline. It is regarded as among the newest of the social sciences.

Water is regarded as one of the most exploited natural resources of the earth. Wetlands are the natural depression on the earth which acts as a host of several aquatic flora, fauna, fisher folk and aquatic birds. But nowadays, wetland ecosystem whether it is in urban or rural areas is facing danger due to water pollution. Because of population pressure, the demand of water whether it is in rivers, lakes, ponds etc. raised greatly causing deterioration in the quality of water. In Assam, as well as in Goalpara district, the quality of wetland water is deteriorating day by day. The resource potentiality of wetland depends on the quality of water. So in this paper an attempt has been made to analyze the quality of wetland water in the district with the help of dissolved oxygen [DO] and biological oxygen demand [BOD] test in laboratory.

This project work was pharmacological screening of anti inflammatory activity of the methanolic extract of Cassia fistula leaves. The paw oedema test and croton oil induced ear oedema were used for pharmacological screening of anti inflammatory activity of methanolic extract of Cassia fistula leaves. The methanolic extract of Cassia fistula leaves at the both doses 250 mg/kg and 500 mg/kg body weight p.o. showed significant anti inflammatory activity in all the parameters measures when compared with the control and standard (diclofenac) treated groups. The results elucidated that after once daily treatment up to 6 days the methanolic extract of Cassia fistula leaves at large dose (500 mg/kg, p.o.) shows higher anti inflammatory activity in comparison with small dose (250 mg/kg, p.o.).

ABSTRACT: The introduction of Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization policies all over the world has brought the need to protect the environment. It is the duty of every individual of any society to protect nature. But the greed to have more pleasures in life and lead a luxurious life, man started exploiting limited natural resources to a maximum extent. That is the reason that the man is facing the worst problem of environmental degradation. Therefore, the governments of various countries have come out with Environmental legislation. India is one among them. It is quite obvious now to protect the nature through environmental legislation. In the present research paper an attempt has been made to assess the awareness of environmental legislation of college students in Jagtiyal region. A convenient sampling method is used to collect data through questionnaire on four different environmental legislations i.e. Wildlife protection Act, Forest Act, Water Act, Air Act from 60 college students in Jagtiyal region. The results show that they are poorly aware of Environmental Legislation.
