 Abstract

Traditional uses of herbs in healthcare practices are providing clues to new areas of research; However, information on the uses of indigenous plants for medicine is not well documented from many rural areas of Tamilnadu including Kanyakumari District. The study aimed to look into the diversity of medicinal herbs that are used by local people of Agastheeswaram Taluk, Kanyakumari District, Tamilnadu, Southern India. Extensive field surveys are conducted in 12 areas for about two years from October 2014- October 2016 to survey the medicinal herbs and collect the information from villagers. A total of 150 medicinal herbs used by local people were documented. These medicinal herbs were distributed in 118 genera belonging to 46 families and 22 order under 8 clades / groups. Among the 150 species, 120 species belongs to dicotyledons and 30 species belongs to monocotyledons. The dominant clade is Asterids (53 species from 45 genera), followed by Rosides (38 species from 29 genera), Monocots (30 species from 24 genera), Superasterids (23 species from 16 genera). The most dominant family in the present study area is Asteraceae with 15 species followed by Amaranthaceae (12 species), Fabaceae (10 species), Poaceae (8 species), Euphorbiaceae (7 species). All these 150 medicinal herbs ethnomedicinally used, next to that 108 species used in folklore followed by Siddha (98 species), Ayurveda (86 species), Unani (38 species) and Homeopathy 13 species). Maximum mode of preparation juice (66 species) followed by paste (56 species), decoction (40 species). The maximum of whole plant (75 species) used for medicine followed by leaves (54 species), roots (19 species), seeds (12 species).  Abstract

The restoration, conservation and management of lentic water bodies require proper understanding of an ecosystem. Assessment and monitoring of such water bodies provide the base line data on the condition of ecosystem. The present paper deals with the distribution and ecology of Cyanophyceae in relation to physico-chemical characteristics of water in four lentic water bodies of Koratagere taluk of Tumakuru district. Composite samples were taken at monthly intervals for the enumeration of Cyanophyceae. Total of 16 species under 12 genera were identified from all the four lakes studied. Gokalakatte lentic water body harboured 30.23% followed by Gattla gollahalli lentic water body (25.58%), Birdenahalli lentic water body (23.26%) and Tumbadi (20.93%). Seasonally, all the lentic water bodies recorded maximum density of Cyanophyceae during summer. Population of Cyanophyceae showed significant positive correlations at 5% level with temperature of air (r=0.727), temperature of water (r=0.717), sulphate (r=0.873), nitrate (r=0.740) and silica (r=0.810). Dissolved oxygen and free carbon dioxide exhibited negative impact on Cyanophycean population. Species of Anabaena, Microcystis and Oscillatoria have appeared during the entire period of investigation by resisting the stress caused by organic pollutants. Hence, these organisms are considered as pollution indicator organisms

 Abstract

Abstract: This study is undertaken to find out the attitude of the youth towards the women working in the tea gardens of Assam. With the change of the time the women have started to become bread winners of many families. Therefore, it is important to know the attitude of the people and in special way the attitude of the youth towards the women who are working to support the families. The support system of a working women depends on the attitude the significant others have on her profession. Working in the tea gardens has never been looked at as a favourable job by many. This is obvious from the way the women who are working in the tea gardens are being treated by the society. Youth being the future of any community it is important to understand their attitude towards the women who are working in the tea gardens. The study is an attempt to describe the attitude of the youth towards the women who are working in the tea gardens of Assam.

 Abstract

To study the antibacterial action of zebrafish and their chemical constituent of Zebrafish (Danio rerio) mucus. Fish mucus plays a very vital role in the hindrance of colonization by parasites, bacteria and fungi. Epidermal mucus was obtain from Zebrafish, centrifuged and the chemical composition of epidermal mucus was analysed by FTIR study. The invitro antibacterial activity in opposition to human pathogens Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia.coli, Bacillus subtilus. Totally three human pathogens have tested in opposition to fish mucus, out of that Staphylococcus aureus (4.3 cm) have prove to be the more sensitive to the mucus follow by Escherichia.coli (4.1cm) and Bacillus subtilus (0.1cm) correspondingly. The current investigation has exposed that positive growth in the fish mucus extracts against human being pathogens. A further attempt is in progress for the purification and separation of bioactive compound in order to create the chemo therapeutic applications.

 Abstract

In earlier, many multilevel structures are came into exist. Among that cascaded multilevel inverters are mostly popular. On the base of series connection of dc voltage sources in which its uses standard low voltage configurations, this type of multilevel inverters integrates the medium voltage output. This peculiar allows one to attain high quality output voltage and current waveforms by using different topologies. So the main theme of this paper is to attain higher output voltage level with less number of switches, less weight, less place, less cost and lower THD values. It is only possible when by using asymmetric multi-cell topology. Hence this paper inaugurates newly proposing 65 level asymmetric multi-cell cascaded multilevel inverter. The main reason behind this paper is to improve the fundamental component and to reduce the THD value. In order to verify the a novel 65 level Asymmetric multi-cell cascaded MLI, MATLAB/SIMULINK software is used and the results were presented.

Generally a concrete made with portland cement particles that are less than 500 nm as a cementing agent is known as nano concrete. The nano-particles will help to reduce the formation of micro pores by acting as a filler agent, producing a high dense concrete. In present project deals about comparative study of nano concrete incorporating by nano particles. In this project nano-alumina and nano-silica is going to be used. The purpose of using these nano particles is to increase the strength and durability of concrete. Resists strong acid and alkali attack at elevated temperatures. The percentage of nano-silica is 1%,1.5%,2% and for nano-alumina is 1%,1.5%,2%.Laboratory tests were conducted and determined the compressive strength, split tensile , flexural strength and durability of nano concrete by using nano silica and nano alumina.

 Abstract

: In the base Concerning illustration a administration (IaaS) standard about cloud computing, computational assets would accessible for rent. In spite of it offers an expense proficient answer for virtual framework necessities, low trust on the rented computational resources keeps customers beginning with using it. To diminish the cost, computational resources would shared, i.e. there exists multi-tenure. As the correspondence channels and different assets are shared, this makes security and protection issues. A client might not identify a dependable co-tenant Concerning illustration the clients would unknown. The client relies on the cloud provider (CP) on consign reliable co-inhabitants. Be that as it may, it will be in the CP's eagerness that it gets most outrageous use about its advantages. Consequently, it allows most extraordinary co-occupancy paying little mind to the practices for customers. In this paper, we prescribe a healthy a tough notoriety control system that influences the cps to a unified cloud to isolate the center of handy and pernicious clients Also relegate assets for such an approach that they don't allotment assets. We show the accuracy and the effectiveness of the recommended a sturdy popularity administration framework utilizing explanatory What's more test dissection
