The restoration, conservation and management of lentic water bodies require proper understanding of an ecosystem. Assessment and monitoring of such water bodies provide the base line data on the condition of ecosystem. The present paper deals with the distribution and ecology of Cyanophyceae in relation to physico-chemical characteristics of water in four lentic water bodies of Koratagere taluk of Tumakuru district. Composite samples were taken at monthly intervals for the enumeration of Cyanophyceae. Total of 16 species under 12 genera were identified from all the four lakes studied. Gokalakatte lentic water body harboured 30.23% followed by Gattla gollahalli lentic water body (25.58%), Birdenahalli lentic water body (23.26%) and Tumbadi (20.93%). Seasonally, all the lentic water bodies recorded maximum density of Cyanophyceae during summer. Population of Cyanophyceae showed significant positive correlations at 5% level with temperature of air (r=0.727), temperature of water (r=0.717), sulphate (r=0.873), nitrate (r=0.740) and silica (r=0.810). Dissolved oxygen and free carbon dioxide exhibited negative impact on Cyanophycean population. Species of Anabaena, Microcystis and Oscillatoria have appeared during the entire period of investigation by resisting the stress caused by organic pollutants. Hence, these organisms are considered as pollution indicator organisms

To study the antibacterial action of zebrafish and their chemical constituent of Zebrafish (Danio rerio) mucus. Fish mucus plays a very vital role in the hindrance of colonization by parasites, bacteria and fungi. Epidermal mucus was obtain from Zebrafish, centrifuged and the chemical composition of epidermal mucus was analysed by FTIR study. The invitro antibacterial activity in opposition to human pathogens Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia.coli, Bacillus subtilus. Totally three human pathogens have tested in opposition to fish mucus, out of that Staphylococcus aureus (4.3 cm) have prove to be the more sensitive to the mucus follow by Escherichia.coli (4.1cm) and Bacillus subtilus (0.1cm) correspondingly. The current investigation has exposed that positive growth in the fish mucus extracts against human being pathogens. A further attempt is in progress for the purification and separation of bioactive compound in order to create the chemo therapeutic applications.

In earlier, many multilevel structures are came into exist. Among that cascaded multilevel inverters are mostly popular. On the base of series connection of dc voltage sources in which its uses standard low voltage configurations, this type of multilevel inverters integrates the medium voltage output. This peculiar allows one to attain high quality output voltage and current waveforms by using different topologies. So the main theme of this paper is to attain higher output voltage level with less number of switches, less weight, less place, less cost and lower THD values. It is only possible when by using asymmetric multi-cell topology. Hence this paper inaugurates newly proposing 65 level asymmetric multi-cell cascaded multilevel inverter. The main reason behind this paper is to improve the fundamental component and to reduce the THD value. In order to verify the a novel 65 level Asymmetric multi-cell cascaded MLI, MATLAB/SIMULINK software is used and the results were presented.
