The mutual fund industry in India started in 1963 with the formation of Unit Trust of India (UTI) at the initiative of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Government of India. The objective was to attract small investors and introduce them to market investments. In 1963, UTI was established by an Act of Parliament as only entity offering mutual funds in India. New era in the mutual fund industry began in 1993 with the permission granted for the entry of private sector funds. The year 1999 marked the beginning of a new phase in the history of the mutual fund industry in India, in terms of both amount mobilized from investors and assets under management. This paper attempts to study the performance in terms of monthly as well as yearly returns of selected private sector Large Cap as well as Small and Midcap Mutual Fund schemes ranked as 1 by CRISIL as on 7th Feb 2018.Secondary data has been collected for analysis from www.moneycontrol.com/mutualfundindia. The comparison has been done with benchmark returns within each cap as well as among the schemes themselves. The paper has also drawn out the opinion for suitability of schemes to different classes of investors and have also traced the effect of the new budgetary change announced in Jan 2018 on overall Mutual Fund Equity schemes.

Indian agriculture accounts for 17 to 18% to its GDP and 50% of work force of population (farmers) are employed in it yet struggles to survive and earn their livelihood. Despite of tremendous efforts of the Government to improve financial literacy among the farmers, still lack in basic awareness of financial services offered to them. Puducherry state was first to achieve complete financial inclusion in the year 2012 but yet to utilize the financial services and products offered to them effectively and efficiently. Medium and small farmers of Puducherry are yet to have complete awareness of formal financial system. The study focusses on kind of perception and level of awareness that the respondents carry over the banking services and financial products namely No Frill Accounts and Kisan Credit Card offered to them. The paper tries to clarify that positive perception and higher level of awareness of financial services and products would ultimately result in improved accessibility and usage and in turn would improve inclusive growth. The study has adopted stratified random sampling where 382 farmers from the extreme rural areas of Puducherry have been selected for the assessment.

The object-oriented approach has been the most popular software design methodology for the past twenty-five years. Several design patterns and principles are defined to improve the design quality of object-oriented software systems. In addition, designers can use unique design motifs that are designed for the specific application domains. Another commonly used technique is cloning and modifying some parts of the software while creating new modules. Therefore, object-oriented programs can include many identical design structures. In this paper we are developing an algorithm which help to find the connected modules inside package or from on package to another package so that we can determine the cohesion and coupling in project which help to determine the reusability of modules in the project.

Emission from vehicles especially automobiles is responsible for about two third of air pollution in the urban area. The major pollutants emitted by motor vehicles including CO, NOx, sulphur oxides, (SO), HC, lead (Pb) and suspended particulate matter (SPM), have damaging effects on both human health and ecology. The internal combustion engines need a mixture of air and fuel to burn and produce energy to propel the vehicle. These burnt gases which come out of the exhaust are responsible for pollution. In petrol engines, the gases comprise a mixture of unburnt hydrocarbons (HC), Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx). If these gases are in excess quantities, vehicular pollution is caused. Emissions of Diesel vehicles are the concentration of CO and unburnt HC in the diesel exhaust are rather low, both of which are compensated by high concentration of NOx and CO2. There are smoke particles and oxygenated HC, including aldehydes and odour-producing compounds. This paper initially presents various types of pollution emitted by vehicles, their effect on human health and mitigation measures by the use of various new technologies of Automobile Engineering and Alternative fuels.

The healthcare industry collects a large amount of data that is not properly mined and not optimally used. Discovery of these hidden patterns and relationships often goes unexploited. Information and communication technologies (ICTs) have great potential to improve health in both developed and developing countries by enhancing access to health information and making health services more efficient; they can also contribute to improving the quality of services and reducing their cost. Patient information systems, for example, have the ability to track individual health problems and treatment over time, giving insight into optimal diagnosis and treatment of the individual as well as improving the delivery of services. This is particularly useful in chronic diseases, such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, as well as health services for mothers and children, where a record of health and treatment is required within a given time period. Our research focuses on this aspect of Medical diagnosis by learning pattern through the collected data of diabetes and heart diseases and to develop intelligent medical decision support systems to help the doctors. Analyzing data in patient information systems can lead to a new insight and understanding of health and disease, both chronic and acute. In this paper, we propose the use of decision trees ID3 algorithm classify these diseases and compare the effectiveness, correction rate among them.
