The hospitality industry, as one of the most people-centric sectors of the global economy, relies heavily on the quality of employee relationships and the cultural environment that governs workplace behavior. This study aims to examine the intricate relationship between employee relations and work culture in the hospitality industry and their combined influence on employee satisfaction, engagement, and organizational performance. The research is based exclusively on secondary data drawn from peer-reviewed journals, industry reports, and scholarly works published between 2000 and 2017, providing a comprehensive overview of pre-2018 trends in hospitality management. Adopting a descriptive and analytical design, the study synthesizes theoretical frameworks and empirical findings from earlier works, including Schein's (1992) model of organizational culture and Denison's (1990) cultural dimensions. The analysis identifies key themes such as managerial communication, trust, leadership behavior, employee participation, and organizational values. The literature consistently demonstrates that strong employee relations, grounded in fairness, openness, and managerial empathy, enhance commitment and job satisfaction, while participative and clan-type cultures foster teamwork, innovation, and emotional well-being. Conversely, autocratic leadership, rigid hierarchies, and cultural misalignment contribute to high turnover and employee disengagement. The findings confirm that employee relations and work culture are mutually reinforcing constructs. A supportive culture strengthens relational trust and cooperation, while healthy relations help sustain positive cultural norms. Leadership emerges as the critical mediating factor transformational and servant leaders build relational harmony and cultural cohesion through communication, empowerment, and recognition. Moreover, the study highlights persistent pre-2018 challenges such as high labor turnover, emotional exhaustion, and cross-cultural management complexities, underscoring the need for employee-centered HR policies and inclusive cultural frameworks. From a practical perspective, the study offers valuable insights for hospitality managers and policymakers. It advocates for transparent communication systems, participative leadership, cultural adaptability, and work-life balance initiatives to enhance employee well-being and retention. Policy recommendations include establishing HR benchmarks for ethical employment practices, integrating relational and cultural management modules into hospitality education, and developing certification programs that recognize organizational excellence in employee relations. This research reinforces the notion that the sustainability and competitiveness of the hospitality industry depend on its human infrastructure the strength of employee relations and the depth of cultural alignment. A people-oriented management philosophy that prioritizes trust, empathy, and shared values can transform workplace culture into a strategic advantage, ensuring long-term organizational success and superior service delivery.

Increasing population, basic human needs and consumeristic life style and large scale industrialization are regarded as the major culprits contributing to the gradual environmental degradation of our space ship called Earth. The rate at which factories, big industrial units, thermal plants and increasing vehicular traffics are coming up, indicates economic development on one hand and environmental damage on the other. The modern technologies, their exceedingly high rate of rapacious exploitation of natural resources and uncontrolled development by developed countries are responsible for alarming situation of environmental crisis and ecological disturbances all over the world. Now threat to humanity comes from the destruction of earth's environment. Hence there is an urgent need of a movement of planetary dimensions to stop or arrest the holocaust. To protect environment and to have sustainable development the management staff at all levels and in all departments of an industry need to be sensitive to environmental management principles and the related practices. Conservation principle is one such practice to combat environmental damage. Conservation and management of natural resources is the need of the hour. The present paper deals with the conservation of natural resources like water, wild life, forest, soil, biodiversity, energy and management principles like energy audit, environmental audit, environmental impact assessment (ELA) and environmental management system(EMS).

The years between 1517 to 1800 was the darkest period in the history of Arabic literature. When the Arab lands were under the subjugation of the Turks. The modern period of Arabic literature started with the invansion of Egypt by the Frence under Nepolion in 1798 and with the occupation of that country by the British in 1882. During this period, for the first time Egypt came in contact with the European culture, its scientific progress and literatures. This contact contributed to the Arab renaissance and thenceforth with other branches of knowledge, the modern Arabic literature also began to develop towards its perfection. During the 19th century historical events, social, political and cultural developments influenced the modern Arabic poetry in two ways: 1. Neo-classicism 2. Pre-romanticism.

Abstract: This paper explores the evolving relationship between ecologism and global politics, emphasizing the growing significance of ecological thought in shaping international relations and policy-making. Ecologism, a radical ideology distinct from conventional environmentalism, challenges the dominant anthropocentric and growth-driven paradigms by advocating for a holistic, eco-centric worldview. As global environmental crises--such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and resource depletion--intensify, the limitations of traditional political frameworks have become increasingly apparent. This study examines how ecologism influences global political discourse through environmental governance, multilateral agreements, and transnational movements. It also investigates the North-South divide in environmental negotiations, the securitization of ecological issues, and the tension between ecological sustainability and economic globalization. The paper argues that while ecologism remains a marginal force in mainstream global politics, its normative power and ideological critique present a necessary challenge to existing systems, pushing for transformative change towards ecological justice and sustainable global governance.

Expansion of urban residency and infrastructure has caused significant depletion of natural resources and the caused building and demolition (C&D) waste material. Traditional building practices have caused environmental degradation and resource scarcity. The integration of recycled material, specifically Recycled Concrete Aggregate (RCA) and Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) are viable schemes for promoting sustainable construction. The study provides an evaluation of the public performance, application, and environmental impact of RCA and RAP in various infrastructure sectors. Drawing upon from the global practice in countries such as Germany, Japan, and the United States, the comparative analysis shows how governmental policy, technological promotion, and quality assurance models have enabled large-scale measurement acceptance of recycled material. RAP offers substantial energy savings and economic benefits by saving asphalt binder and aggregations while RCA contributes significantly to increasing green energy, minimizing landfill dependence and lowering nursery gaseous state emission. Environmental advantages of using RAP include reducing embodied free energy and Carbon footprint. Technical challenges such as variableness in recycled stuff property and durability and performance of binder are identified. The study emphasizes the demand for robust material characterization techniques, advanced processing methods and rejuvenation of technology and the evolution of public performance-based standards to ensure consistent quality and long-term structural integrity. Insurance policy intervention, manufacturer incentive, public consciousness, and continued research are needed to integrate recycled material into mainstream building practice. The research shows how the strategic usage of recycled material can transform infrastructure development into a more sustainable, resilient and resourcefulness efficient procedure. Their acceptance addresses environmental challenges but also fosters economic fight and contributes to achieving global sustainable targets within the building manufacture.

An impact of Globalisation on Indian Industry started when the government opened the country's markets to foreign investments in the early 1990s. Globalization means the dismantling of trade barriers between nations and the integration of the nations economies through financial flow, trade in goods and services, and corporate investments between nations. Globalization has increased across the world in recent years due to the fast progress that has been made in the field of technology especially in communications and transport. The government of India made changes in its economic policy in 1991 by which it allowed direct foreign investments in the country. The benefits of the effects of globalization in the Indian Industry are that many foreign companies set up industries in India, especially in the pharmaceutical, BPO, petroleum, manufacturing, and chemical sectors and this helped to provide employment to many people in the country. This helped reduce the level of unemployment and poverty in the country. Also, the benefit of the Effects of Globalization on Indian Industry are that the foreign companies brought in highly advanced technology with them and this helped to make the Indian Industry more technologically advanced.

The growing need for clean and alternative energy solutions has encouraged the development of systems that can utilize wasted energy in everyday life. Human footsteps are a reliable source of mechanical energy, especially in crowded public places. This paper presents the design and fabrication of a low-cost mechanical footstep power generator using a rack and pinion mechanism coupled with a DC generator. The system captures the mechanical energy produced during walking and converts it into electrical energy, which is stored in a battery for lighting or other small load applications. The prototype is simple, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly, making it ideal for use in locations like railway stations, bus stops, parks, and shopping malls. The experimental results demonstrate that this system can generate useful amounts of electricity from everyday human activities, promoting sustainable urban energy solutions.

This research article investigates the far-reaching and complex impact of the Cold War on Third World countries--nations across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East that were emerging from colonial rule and striving for sovereignty during the second half of the 20th century. Though the Cold War is traditionally understood as a bipolar geopolitical conflict between the United States-led capitalist bloc and the Soviet Union-led communist bloc, its most consequential and often devastating outcomes were experienced outside the core arenas of power. Third World countries became ideological, political, and military battlegrounds where superpower rivalry manifested in the form of proxy wars, covert operations, military coups, economic manipulation, and competing development agendas. This study explores how the Cold War altered the political and developmental trajectories of non-aligned or marginally aligned nations, using case studies such as the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and Cold War-era interventions in Angola, Chile, and Afghanistan. It examines how superpowers used aid, arms, and ideological influence as tools of dominance, often exacerbating domestic conflicts or stifling democratic aspirations in favor of geopolitical expediency. The research also analyzes the role of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and regional leadership in resisting bipolar domination and advocating for an independent course. Through a critical synthesis of historical events, political theory, and postcolonial analysis, the article underscores the legacy of Cold War dynamics in shaping contemporary issues in the Global South, including ongoing political instability, economic dependency, and security dilemmas. Ultimately, the study emphasizes the need to reframe Cold War history by placing Third World experiences at the center, revealing the hidden costs of superpower competition and the resilience of postcolonial states striving for autonomy and self-determination.

This research article delves into the transformative and reformative reign of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV (reigned 1902-1940), the enlightened ruler of the princely state of Mysore, widely celebrated for his progressive vision and ethical leadership. Often hailed as a "Rajarshi" (philosopher-king), Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV was one of the most forward-thinking monarchs in colonial India, known for his dedication to modernization, human development, and inclusive governance. His rule coincided with a period of increasing national consciousness and anti-colonial struggle across India, yet Mysore stood as a unique model of indigenous governance that worked in tandem with the British colonial framework to deliver welfare-centric reforms. Under his leadership--and through the administrative genius of Dewans like Sir M. Visvesvaraya and Sir Mirza Ismail--Mysore became a pioneer in multiple domains: universal education, industrialization, public health, infrastructure development, constitutional governance, and affirmative action. Major initiatives included the establishment of the University of Mysore (1916), one of India's earliest modern universities; the Krishna Raja Sagara (KRS) Dam, a marvel of engineering and irrigation; the Mysore Iron and Steel Works in Bhadravati, fostering industrial self-reliance; and one of the earliest reservation policies for backward communities, laying a foundation for modern social justice discourse. Drawing from archival records, government documents, memoirs, and academic literature, this study critically evaluates the holistic reforms introduced during Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV's rule. It also explores how his legacy continues to influence contemporary governance models in Karnataka and India at large, making a strong case for revisiting princely states as active agents of modernity rather than relics of feudalism.
