 Abstract

The research explaining the effect of emotions in the workplace and conflict management is considerably increasing with time. However, there is a lack of comprehensive understanding of the role of emotional intelligence in conflict management in the banking sector specifically. This review aimed to explain the way emotions and emotional intelligence are significant in the field of workplace studies, and the way emotional intelligence and conflict management are related in context to the banking sector. It sheds the light on the dimensions of emotional intelligence and conflict management styles that were examined in a range of ways in prior studies. Emotional intelligence is related to one's capacity to explain their emotions and conflict management assists in reducing the conflict occurred and consequently providing a positive change in the behaviour. The review focused on the active role of emotional intelligence in managing conflicts in organizational settings and banks. The review further illustrates trends and gaps in this research field, and suggests some theoretical underpinnings, with recommendations for future research.

 Abstract

This paper endeavors to give credit to Subhadra Sen Guptas work on Princess Jodh Bai. Where there are multiple examples of Eurocentric, patriarchal fairytales, this text is one rare example of a modern Indian fairytale. Most female characters are New Women, evolved women, and not submissive, docile playthings in the hands of patriarchy. Like a fairytale, there is an enchanting and gripping quality to the narrative, and the genre of diary lends it a kind of authenticity. Like a fairytale, the narrative ends on a note of positivity and happy life, but much like a Modern feminist text the notion of happy life is mutual respect and equality, and not superficial idea of fancy love story. The historicity of the text lends it credibility and assurance and also serves to initiate the reader to Indian history.

 Abstract

Cancer is the second disease with highest rate of mortality in India. Numerous types of cancers are observed in India like breast, prostrate, pancreatic and lung. Amongst the different types of cancer breast cancer is the most common in all age groups in India. Three types of breast cancer are prevalent amongst which triple negative breast cancer has the highest rate of mortality. Treatment methods for treating breast cancer are laser, chemotherapy and replacement. All these treatment methods are effective in treating this disease but they have a lot of side effects and they are too expensive.India has a tradition of Ayurveda since centuries. Numerous ayurvedic plants are used to treat a number of diseases like diabeties, inflammation and cancer. One such Ayurvedic plant used is Mangifera Indica. Mangifera Indica is a flowering plant and it belongs to family Anacardiaceae. It is used for treatment of diseases like skin disorders, gastric disorders etc. Here in we explored the different constituents present in Mangifera Indica against cancer using molecular docking and bioinformatic tools. So we have examined all phytochemicals in mango plant against breast cancer using numerous bioinformatic tools. Amongst all the phytochemicals, Mangiferin proves out to be the most promising candidate for breast cancer.

 Abstract

Financial development involves improvements in such functions provided by the financial systems as: pooling of savings; allocating capital to productive investments; monitoring those investments; risk diversification; and exchange of goods and services. Each of these financial functions can influence saving and investment decisions and the efficiency with which funds are allocated. As a result, finance affects the accumulation of physical and human capital and total factor productivity-the three factors that determine economic growth. To the extent that financial development reduces informational asymmetries and financial constraints and promotes risk sharing, it can enhance the ability of financial systems to absorb shocks and reduce the amplification of cycles through the financial accelerator lowering macroeconomic volatility and inequality. Financial markets have developed in ways that allow individuals and firms to diversify their savings, and firms can now raise money through stocks, bonds, and wholesale money markets, by-passing traditional bank lending. The constellation of such financial institutions and markets facilitates the provision of financial services. Furthermore, an important feature of financial systems is their access and efficiency. Large financial systems are of limited use if they are not accessible to a sufficiently large proportion of the population and firms. Even if financial systems are sizeable and have a broad reach, their contribution to economic growth would be limited if they were wasteful and inefficient . Keeping this in mind the researcher had decided to study financial development and economic growth in Kuwait keeping Financial Development Index (FDI) as the measuring stick.

 Abstract

Eliot was no novice at the art of dramatic composition where he attempted The Cocktail Party, Murder in the Cathedral was Eliot first independent full-length drama, which was written for the Canter bury Festival of June 1935. This play was not meant for the competitive world of the theatre though it captivated audiences everywhere because of its highly successful fusion of theme and form. Religious and spiritual tones blend well with the liturgical pattern of the verse and the play on the whole established Eliots fame as a writer of verse drama. Encouraged by this success Eliot attempted his second major verse-drama in 1939. The Family Reunion however was not a great success it lacked the peculiar advantages which Eliot enjoyed while writing Murder in the Cathedral. The theme of spiritual isolation leading to a spiritual quest appears in this play with the twentieth century as the background and modern Englishmen as the dramatic personal. The effort made by Eliot in making the audiences respond to the spiritual message of the play has not been successful. Perhaps realizing his failure Eliot remained inactive as far as dramatic co position was concerned till 194 when The Cocktail Party appeared.

 Abstract

Climate change and variability are concerns of human being. The recurrent droughts and floods threaten seriously the livelihood of billions of people who depend on land for most of their needs. The global economy is adversely being influenced very frequently due to extreme events such as droughts and floods, cold and heat waves, forest fires, landslips etc. The natural calamities like earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions, though not related to weather disasters, may change chemical composition of the atmosphere. It will, in turn, lead to weather related disasters. In this study, the relation between agriculture and rainfall trends are analysed to identify and mitigate its adverse impacts.

 Abstract

The study was carried out to construct a valid and reliable test in Life Science for secondary school students. The investigator conducted to construct and standardize an achievement test in Life Science for class IX students to measure their achievement. The achievement test and the lesson plans were developed on selected topics of Life Science from Class IX Text Book issued by WBBSE (West Bengal Board of Secondary Education) on the basis of the blue print prepared for the achievement test in the light of objectives. After the items were written, the investigator consulted the subject expert for checking the items framed with respect to the faulty language and defects in wordings and also to verify whether the items measure what was purports to measure at the level of achievement. Initially Eighty five (85) items were framed on selected topics of Life Science textbook. A blue-print was prepared for the achievement test in the light of certain objectives. Individual try-out of the first draft was done on six students. Discussions with the subject experts were held and the test was modified accordingly. The second draft with Seventy-six (76) items was administered on 20 students. Then the Item difficulty Value (DV) and Item Discrimination Power (DP) were determined by adopting Kelleys (1939) method. On the basis of Item difficulty value, item discrimination power and also distractor analysis, the preliminary draft of the achievement test was again modified. In total 60 items having difficulty value (DV) ranging from 0.20 to 0.75 and the items ranging from 0.20 to 0.90 on the discriminatory power (DP) were retained in the achievement test. The reliability and validity of the test was also administered.

 Abstract

In this paper we extend the proof of potential and nonlinear potential pointwise gradient estimates for solutions to measure data problems whose prototype is given by . We show that in the case a pointwise gradient estimate is possible using standard, linear Riesz potentials. The proof is based on the identification of a natural quantity that on one hand respects the natural scaling of the problem, and on the other allows to encode the weaker coercivity properties of the operaotrs considered, in the case . In the case we prove a new gradient estimate employing nonlinear potentials of Wolff type

 Abstract

What defines a person as being black? Identity, culture, skin colour, other people or something else? Only an individual can determine what defines him/ her. If the African- American people lived in a society that did not care about skin colour, there would not be a "black identity". Americans consider Africans as black not on the basis of African ancestry, but based on whether it's visible. Being black is definitely more than just an appearance, to be 'black' somewhere down in spirit, is to connect with the ancestors and know what has been taught, what you thought was truth. The writer James Baldwin had said "people are trapped in history and history is trapped in them." Some people reject the black identity and this has led to criticism from those who believe that they had a right and a voice to stand up for their race and culture and their individuality. This paper speaks about the antecedents of the black identity through the selected poems of African-American writers.

 Abstract

[As Immanuel Kant says, to recognize that autonomy is the highest human good, humans have to disentangle themselves from the leading strings by which the guardians priests, lawyers, and the rulers have made them domesticated animals. According to Kant, only the enlightened can form a state. In the recent times, what Myanmar is strongly lacking, is a strong civil society. Ashley South is in favor not only does the country lack a strong civil society but has also proposed ideas as to what would enable the country to have a civil society in the future. Albert P. Blaustein states that states should be based on civic, rather ethnic or national principle. This will enable the people to have an equal stand in the society. There should not be any insider or outsider. If a country is not homogenous in terms of religion, language, ethnicity or culture, then there needs to be a largely felt commitment to the rights of minority groups. Therefore, in the recent times, there has been a call for the formation of the second Panglong Agreement minority concerns and d that would address the determine the ethnic principles for the future union. Suu Kyis idea of the second Panglong Agreement Conference was denounced by the state and therefore, the crisis of a union still stands firm in Myanmar. Further, according to Robert Conquest, even if democracy is brought about in a nondemocratic s democratic society, it cannot function without a fair level of political social stability (Conquest, 2004). The idea of Conquest is particularly true in the case of Myanmar because right after independence, when the country entered into democracy for a while, intense political instability and unrest resulted into the toppling of the newly formed democracy. Conquest further argues that there is a strong need to cultivate a civic culture in a civil society (when formed) in which various elements can express themselves politically. This idea can be strongly related to the recent situation of Myanmar where the country lacks both the civil society and the independence of the mass media. The answer to both the problems of the country would be invariably democracy but as of now, Thein Sien has taken steps to allow the mass media to express their views and carry on the reform process. If one has to imagine the prevalence of democracy in Myanmar in the future, even then, according to conquest, perfect social order is unobtainable in any democratic state]

 Abstract

ABSTRACT :- Tannins are polyphenols that are water soluble and are found in many plant foods. They have been reported to be responsible for reducing feed intake growth rate, net metabolizable energy, feed efficiency and protein digestibility in laboatory animals.[1]food high in tannis are also deemed to be of poor nutritional value tannins are a kind of compoundof polyphenols with a complex plant structure.tannins are mainaly categorised into two types hydrolisable tannins and condesed tannins on the bassis of their structure.hydrolisable tannins are properties to exhibit anticancer antigiogenic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti ulcerative properties.[3] condensed tannins are a mixture of polyhydroxyfavan-3-ol oligomers and polymers connected betwwen subunits of flavanoids by carbon bonds.[4] In tannins best drug example are catechu.
