GCC countries can be seen as a region of extreme mobility, be it voluntary or forced. It is one of the largest recipients of labour migrants in the entire world. The history of migration inflows in the GCC countries can be segregated into pre-oil and post-oil periods. Mass migration to GCC countries started in the 1960s, however, post the discovery of oil reserves and the oil boom in 1970, these GCC countries became the magnets for international migration attracting all sorts of people towards them. Moreover, the Arabian Gulf has a long history of global connectivity and interaction with its neighbouring countries. So, the oil boom in the area had pushed rapid development, which further necessitated a demand for labour. Due to small population sizes in the Gulf, GCC countries relied on imported labour to balance out their local labour deficits, which have primarily been sourced from the Indian subcontinent and South Asia. According to the data released by UNDESA in 2019, there were 35 million international migrants in GCC Countries (ILO 2021). Saudi Arabia stands first, receiving more than 13 million migrants among other GCC Countries. Moreover, more than 9 million migrants (almost 50 per cent of India's total migrants) reside in GCC countries, which is again more than 25% of total Gulf migrants directly coming from India. Hence, the large number of migrants in these Gulf countries, bring not only their skills but also their social, gender, cultural, religious and political identities. In this regard, this paper tries to highlight the issues of labour migration in the GCC countries peeking through the socio-economic and cultural dynamics of labour migrants.

The present research investigates the use of Achille Mbembe's notion of necropolitics in Peter Porter's poems Your Attention Please and Competition is Healthy. Through qualitative research of Australian history and literature, it investigates Porter's critique of the nexus of power, mortality, and society systems. Necropolitics, which examines sovereign powers' influence over life and death, gives a prism through which to view Porter's work on colonial exploitation, nuclear politics, and the fragility of human existence. The study focusses on Porter's use of irony, vivid imagery, and intertextual references to emphasize the dehumanizing impacts of governmental control and societal inequality. In Your Attention Please, the bureaucratic notice of a nuclear strike contrasts ordinary rituals with existential dread, illustrating the normalization of mortality in global dynamics. Similarly, Competition is Healthy criticises the commodification of human beings, societal hierarchies, and the degradation of moral norms in colonial and capitalist societies. This study uses necropolitics and poetic analysis to explore the long-term impact of colonial brutality and political hegemony on Australian identity and literature. Porter's work, which is grounded in both German and Australian cultures, emerges as a striking commentary on the human condition within the intricacies of modern geopolitics.

'Shantata! Court Chalu Aahe' is a 1967 Marathi play by Indian playwright Vijay Tendulkar. The play is translated into English by Priya Adarkar. First performed in 1971 at the Museum Theatre, Madras, the play is a portrayal of unjust societal behaviour, a criticism of the social and gender injustice faced by women. This research paper aims to dwell into the heart of the orthodox Indian mindset and the realistic interpretation of aspects of rape, violence against women, mockery of human trauma, Kama or mental pleasure, misogyny and sexual objectification. By referring to parallel texts, we see various dimensions and facets of the play that were unexplored with the first reading of the actual play. By analyzing the play alongside real-world examples, the paper highlights the ongoing struggle for gender equality and the persistence of patriarchal norms. Tendulkar's work is a powerful critique of societal attitudes and continues to resonate as a call for introspection and change.

Native Indian writers like Zitkala-?a have written a great deal about the bad experiences and cultural unrest that occurred in boarding schools under the guise of education and civilization. As she was trained in the customs of the white culture, she had a longing for her Dakota culture. She uses the innocent story of a child, steeped in the trickster tradition, to describe the range of these feelings, evoking from her readers an unanticipated empathy. The author provides context for the broken family dynamic that left her and her mother isolated, with a strained mother-daughter bond and a troubled past. Her schooling causes her to lose her cultural connections, and she becomes distant and disinterested in her family. Her short stories in the book illustrate her sense of identity loss, discontentment, and melancholy as a result of her displacement. This research paper will provide an in-depth analysis of the compelling themes of nostalgia, melancholy, and return to childhood found in Zitkala-?a's short story collection. That these Native Indian authors of America were subjected to the brutal realities of cultural assimilation and demolition during the height of the twentieth century, shall be a significant underlying theme of the paper.

This review explores the dynamics of forest cover in India by focusing on land use and land cover (LULC) data to assess the extent of forest degradation over recent years (2019, 2021, and 2023). The study specifically investigates how forests have been affected by land use changes, considering the significant impact of deforestation, urbanization, and agricultural expansion. India's diverse forest types include tropical evergreen, tropical deciduous, swamp, mangrove, sub-tropical, montane, scrub, sub-alpine, and alpine forests, each contributing to a unique ecosystem that supports a rich variety of flora and fauna. However, with increasing land use pressure, these forests are undergoing substantial degradation. This study highlights the urgent need for well-defined and sustainable land management policies, alongside national programs like the National Afforestation Programme and the Green India Mission, which aim to mitigate deforestation and promote reforestation efforts. The findings from this review emphasize the critical need for continued and enhanced conservation initiatives, offering actionable insights to policymakers and environmental stakeholders. By analyzing the trends in LULC data from 2019, 2021, and 2023, the study provides a clear picture of the rate of deforestation and forest degradation in India, along with recommendations for sustainable forest management practices that balance ecological conservation with economic development. As part of this project, an interactive website will be developed to serve as a comprehensive platform for exploring LULC data and trends related to forest degradation and deforestation in India. The thyroid and parathyroid glands play crucial roles in maintaining metabolic and calcium homeostasis through their respective hormones. The thyroid gland produces thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), which regulate metabolic rate, energy production, growth, and development. Dysregulation of these hormones can lead to conditions such as hyperthyroidism, characterized by increased metabolism, or hypothyroidism, marked by reduced metabolic activity. In contrast, the parathyroid glands secrete parathyroid hormone (PTH), which is essential for calcium regulation. PTH increases blood calcium levels by stimulating bone resorption, enhancing renal calcium reabsorption, and promoting intestinal calcium absorption through vitamin D activation. Disorders such as hyperparathyroidism or hypoparathyroidism result in significant complications, including bone demineralization, renal stones, and neuromuscular dysfunction. Together, thyroid and parathyroid hormones demonstrate a complex interplay vital for physiological balance, with their dysregulation leading to systemic effects that require targeted diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

Recently, machine learning (ML) and ensemble learning techniques have demonstrated great potential in medical diagnostics. In our study, various ML models including logistic regression (LR), random forest (RF), support vector machines (SVM), k-nearest neighbor (KNN), and XGBoost were employed alongside feature selection methods to identify the optimal features and best-performing model. Experiments were conducted using a breast cancer dataset with a 80:20 train-test split ratio and a 5-fold crossvalidation (CV) approach was used to assess model performance. Among the models tested, KNN emerged as the best-performing model, achieving a testing accuracy of 99.00% and a cross-validation score of 97.00%.
