 Abstract

Since roads are essential for social, economic, cultural, military and other communications in life, therefore the design of roads must be economical, safe and comfortable. Road networks are designed in our country but after its construction, they have many problems due to drivers traffic license process, recklessness of drivers and other reasons that harm the safety of the road and causes more collisions. Considering these points, this research article has been written to identify the causes of collisions in our country. The study will also look at how to reduce the number of traffic accidents across the country. Since many of our compatriots have been injured or even killed in the accidents, therefore we have studied many international journals and conducted a comparative study with the help of it. In addition to these journals, other authoritative books have also been used. In this research paper, we have identified that how to reduce the number of collisions. As a result of this research study, it was found that currently there are many causes of collisions in Afghanistan, such as carelessness of drivers in different climatic conditions (snow and rain), physical distresses of the roads, Weaknesses in the licensing process, poor traffic control and other factors that contributes to the increase in collisions across the road. It is therefore generally suggested that first of all, license control should be taken seriously, road surface distresses should be repaired in a timely manner, and public awareness programs about collisions should be considered for drivers and the public.

 Abstract

Clove are the aromatic flower buds of a tree in the family Myrtaceae, Syzygium aromaticum. They are native to the Maluku islands (or Moluccas) in Indonesia, and are commonly used as a spice. Clove are available throughout the year owing to different harvest seasons in different countries. Clove is use in antioxidants, help protect against cancer, it can also kill bacteria, helpful in liver health, regulate blood sugar, and help in many more health problems. The clove tree is an evergreen that grows up to 8- 12 meters tall, with large leaves and crimson flower grouped in terminal clusters. Clove have the essential oil extract named Eugenol comprises 72- 90%. Clove is a Volatile Oil. Zanzibar and Pemba are now the worlds largest producers of clove.

 Abstract

An industrial load is mostly depending on semiconductor devices; control of that loads is important cause industrial loads sensitive against power system disturbance. Hence, in the distribution system, power quality has most important. Voltage and power quality have more problems due to an increase in the use of nonlinear loads such as microcontrollers, power electronic devices, etc. Thus, it needs to identify that problem and the requirement of compensation. Thus, the solution is a dynamic voltage restorer which identifies voltage sag & compensate that sag fast & accurate. In this paper, the simulation of dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) was made by using an artificial neural network. DVR injects the voltage in the system when voltage sag or swell occurred due to fault. The ANN is trained online by data generated by the uncompensated model. These data should be used as a target for ANN. There are many types of training, here we feed-forward backpropagation, Levenberg- Marquardt training algorithm used. ANN is used as a controller for controlling the DVR (Dynamic Voltage Restorer) through an IGBT gate inverter. For mitigating voltage sag & swell inject voltage by DVR with ANN exactly. Also, another method is Integrated Sliding Mode Control using DVR for compensating voltage sag caused due to three-phase faults. The sag or swell detection method is eliminated by using the DVR-SMC model. Hence, this method increases the dynamic response of the DVR & inject the voltage sag with proper amplitude and phase. The comparison between the ANN-based DVR model and ISMC based DVR model has studied about compensation of voltage sag after a fault occurred. From this, obtain best compensation method.

 Abstract

Herpes simplex (more commonly known as herpes) is classified into two types: Herpes simplex Virus Type 1(HSV-1) and Herpes simplex Virus Type 2(HSV-2). HSV-1 usually causes mouth and lip sores (also called cold blisters). HSV-1 may cause genital herpes, but HSV-2 in the vaginal herpes is most common. Hence, discovering an effective compound to combat herpes infections is essential. The aim was to predict possible interactions between Thymidine Kinase (TK) as one of the most important viral elements in intracellular HSV-1 replication and 5 potential phytochemicals from Cinnamomum zeylanicum by using a computational approach. 3-Dimensional Structure of Thymidine Kinase (TK) has been retrieved from the Protein Data Bank, prepared and docked with Rutin, Quercetin , Kaempferol , Isorhamentin and Catechin as ligands with Autodock vina. The highest ligand binding affinity to the targeted protein based on minimal binding energy was calculated. More research was carried out in order to identify the protein active site interacted with the ligands examined and all intermolecular bonds that exist. By showing best related affinity (?9,2 kcal / mol) compared to the other ligands, Rutin was described as the most possible inhibitor of viral activity. Rutin can be considered a promising compound for further evaluation as a potentially efficient antiviral compound against HSV-1.

 Abstract

The process of drug development is very expensive process due to high costs of R&D and human clinical tests. At present a new approach is being tried to understand how disease and infection are controlled at the molecular and physiological level and to target specific entities based on the knowledge. The drugs discoveries are based on molecular biological targets and improve the therapy for disease, wide ranging dosages of the compounds are introduced to the cell line or animal in order to obtain preliminary efficacy and pharmacokinetic information. The process of drug discovery involves the identification of candidates, synthesis, characterization, screening & assay for therapeutic efficacy. Once a compound has shown its value in these tests, it will begin the process of drug development prior to clinical trials.

 Abstract

Soil is one of the most abundant construction materials of the nature used from the base of the structure. Almost all type of construction is built with or upon the soil. The most important part of a road pavement is subgrade soil and its strength. If the sub grade is not enough good the whole structure will face failure such as cracks, then stabilization is normally needed. Sub grade is sometimes replaced with stronger soil material or stabilized so as to improve the strength. Increase in sub grade strength may lead to economy in the structural thicknesses of a pavement. Cement, fly ash, lime, fibers etc. are very commonly used for soil stabilization. The main objective of this experimental study is to improve the properties of the soil by adding bitumen emulsion. In this study, the whole laboratory work revolves around the basic properties of soil and its strength in terms of CBR. Besides the bitumen emulsion, stone dust and brick dust are a kind of solid waste materials that are generated from stone crushing industry and brick kilns respectively which are abundantly available. It is estimated that each crusher unit produce 15%-20% stone dust. Disposal of such wastes poses lots of geo- environmental problems such as landfill disposal problems, health and environmental hazards. The best way to eliminate these problems is to make use of such waste products. Keeping this in view a little crushed stone dust and brick kiln dust are added to provide better soil strength. It is observed that excellent soil strength results by using cationic bitumen emulsion (CMS) with little quantity of the above two waste products used as fillers. The appropriate mixing conditions for the soil with CMS Bitumen emulsion have been first attempted. The main objective of this experimental study is to improve the properties of the gravel soil by adding bitumen emulsion. An attempt has been made to use emulsion for improving the strength of gravel soil expressed in terms of CBR values which may prove to be economical. In this study, the whole laboratory work revolves around the basic properties of soil and its strength in terms of CBR. A little cement added to provide better soil strength. It is observed that excellent soil strength results by using cationic bitumen emulsion (CMS) with little quantity of cement used as filler. The appropriate mixing conditions for gravelly soil with CMS Bitumen emulsion have been first attempted. This is followed by deciding four particular material conditions to show the variation in dry density and CBR value to achieve the best possible strength properties of gravel soil.

 Abstract

Abstract: Background of the study Children with intellectual disability have problems in adaptive behavior. The common health problems associated with intellectual disability are, convulsions, sensory impairments, and behaviour problems, delays in language development, emotional and social problems (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Ed. APA; 2013 ). Filial Therapy is a non directive play therapy for children with emotional, social and behavioral problems. The filial therapist trains the parents on skills necessary for filial therapy. According to Van Fleet (2004), filial therapy has been used successfully as a therapy for children to reduce behavioral, emotional and social problems. There is a growing need for interventions that include both behavioral and psychosocial components to better address the needs of children with intellectual disability. Objectives of the study The main aim of the study was to assess the effectiveness of filial therapy on behavioural problems of intellectually disabled children. Methods A pre experimental pre test post test design was adopted. Fifty children with mild or moderate intellectual disability were selected for the study, 25 children were boys and 25 children were girls. The samples were selected with purposive sampling technique. The setting of the study was a selected Special school at Calicut district, Kerala. A demographic profoma and Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) were administered for assessing the behavioural problems of intellectually disabled children. The descriptive and inferential statistics were carried out to find out the effectiveness of filial therapy on intellectually disabled children. Results The study results revealed that more than half (60%) of the children belonged to the age group of 13-17 years. More than half (58%) of children were belonged to nuclear family. Majority (96 %) of children participated in this research had moderate intellectual disability. The results of the study revealed that (44%) had started their schooling since 6-10 years. Forty eight percentages of mothers had secondary education. Majority (64%) of them were housewives. The family income were 5000- 10000rs for 72% of children per month. The mean post test behavioural problem scores (39.84) of intellectually disabled children is less than the mean pre test scores (56.42). The findings revealed that the intervention (filial therapy) was very effective in reducing the behavioural problems of intellectually disabled children (p<0.05).

 Abstract

In this we are presenting a study on the linear algebra and matrix in mathematics. Linear algebra is the branch of mathematics concerned with the study of vectors, vector spaces (also called linear spaces), linear maps (also called linear transformations), and systems of linear equations. Vector spaces are a central theme in modern mathematics; thus, linear algebra is widely used in both abstract algebra and functional analysis. Linear algebra also has a concrete representation in analytic geometry and it is generalized in operator theory. It has extensive applications in the natural sciences and the social sciences since nonlinear models can often be approximated by linear ones.
