In recent years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been rapidly integrated into various domains, enabling systems to make informed decisions. AI advancements have the potential to transform the functioning of modern libraries. However, implementing AI in library operations poses significant challenges. This study examines how smart libraries can enhance user services through the application of machine learning (ML) techniques. The research explores various machine learning methods, including Random Forest (RF) and several boosting algorithms such as Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LGBM), Histogram-based Gradient Boosting (HGB), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGB), CatBoost (CB), AdaBoost (AB), and Gradient Boosting (GB), for the task of identifying and categorizing favorite books. A detailed analysis using a publicly available dataset (Art Garfunkel's Library) demonstrates the proposed model's efficiency in identifying and classifying favorite books. The experimental findings indicate that LGBM achieves superior performance with an accuracy rate of 94.9367%, outperforming Random Forest and other boosting algorithms. This research highlights the potential of AI-driven solutions in modern libraries through the adoption of machine learning. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first intelligent system designed for automatically identifying and categorizing favorite books in a smart library context.

Rabindranath Tagore turns a well-known Buddhist tale about an untouchable girl's longing for a Buddha student into one of self-awareness in his 1938 play Chandalika. This essay focuses on Tagore's recounting of this story and makes the case that by giving Prakriti, the play's protagonist, agency over her own destiny, he also empowers a Dalit woman. According to this paper's textual analysis and examination of pertinent literature, Prakriti's yearning for Ananda is not merely a woman's desire for a man, as some critics have claimed, but rather the soul's yearning for the Supreme Soul. This essay comes to the conclusion that Prakriti defies Hinduism's definition of the ultimate goal of existence when she awakens.

The stability of an embankment during and post-construction is predominantly influenced by the magnitude of displacements occurring beneath the embankment. Numerous studies have documented the adverse effects of excessive displacements on the performance of the embankment and nearby structures. Various ground improvement techniques are employed, along with the deployment of in-situ instrumentation, to mitigate significant issues such as large displacements and potential embankment failure. This study leverages data from multiple case studies on embankments and utilizes finite element software, PLAXIS 2D, to analysed displacements. The lateral displacements and settlements were computed using PLAXIS 2D. The results, including lateral displacements, settlements, and pore water pressures derived from finite element analysis (FEA), were then systematically compared with parameters obtained through experimental, numerical, and observational methods documented in existing case histories.

Electric stun gun, commonly referred to as stun guns or conducted energy devices (CEDs), have emerged as widely used non-lethal weapons in a variety of security-related domains. These devices operate by delivering a high-voltage, low-current electrical shock that incapacitates an individual temporarily by disrupting the body's neuromuscular system. While initially developed for law enforcement and military applications, electric stun devices have gained popularity in civilian markets for personal defense, offering a safer alternative to traditional weapons like firearms and knives. The design and operation of these devices revolve around the precise control of electrical output--delivering high voltage but low current to avoid permanent harm while maximizing effectiveness in immobilizing a target. The technology behind electric stun teasers is continuously evolving, and new advancements are focused on improving performance, safety, and ease of use. Despite their non-lethal nature, electric stun devices are not without their risks, with concerns about misuse, health implications, and potential for excessive force, particularly in law enforcement applications. This paper provides an in-depth exploration of electric stun teasers, covering their operational principles, technological features, and the various applications where they are utilized. The discussion includes detailed safety considerations, highlighting potential risks associated with electrical shock, including physiological effects, and explores the growing body of research on the ethical and legal issues surrounding their use. By examining these topics, this paper offers a comprehensive overview of electric stun teasers, their growing role in security, and the challenges posed by their deployment in various settings.

Metaphorically speaking, more women should take the road less travelled, the road here being the road that leads the women to entrepreneurship. Women should act independently, freeing themselves from the conformity of most women who for reasons best known to them choose to avoid the road less travelled. This is strange considering that in our country, many women have made it to the top weathering storms that have their origins in our patriarchal society which has spawned patriarchal power. The resultant patriarchal values have permeated through our society, often placing our society under the domination of men, in every sphere of economic activity. Stakeholders like banks look for the non-existent man behind the women who approach them for financing their bankable projects. Banks are suppliers of the most vital component, namely capital, to the enterprise. Sadly, women entrepreneurs have to bend over backwards to convince the banker of the financial viability of their enterprise. To make things worse, women have to juggle lots of different things, for example their enterprise and their family. As a result, the sword of Damocles hangs precariously over the heads of women entrepreneurs all the time. This is the default setting under which most women embrace entrepreneurship in our country. The researcher interacted with stakeholders like women entrepreneurs and experts to find ways and means of promoting women entrepreneurship in this backdrop. Her interaction with the said stakeholders led her to conclude that the present-day women are better placed to access capital and various government incentives to commence and grow entrepreneurial activities. However, they have to be reskilled and / or upskilled to exploit the opportunities that the present-day business world offers , including online business. Mentorship with established women entrepreneurs and interaction with peer groups will accelerate the promotion of women entrepreneurship in the country.
