 Abstract

Public sector in India has expanded rapidly after independence, but the knowledge of public Enterprise in India is as old as the knowledge about political democracy. Even in Vedic times, the Institution of state existed and it function as a properly organised institution. The king, when crowned, was administered an oath, �I will see to the growth of the country as God myself�. The great Epic of Mahabharata provides the severe sanctions against a king who fails to guard the Welfare of his people. The idea of welfare state was practiced with such thoroughness and perfection as to make Prof. K T Shah observe that �welfare state� of today has a very little to teach to its ancient prototype: and perhaps a great deal to learn. Defence and provision for infrastructure where Prime obligation of the state in ancient times. About half of the total revenue of the state was used to be spent on defence. Items of Expenditure other than defence were the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, temples schools, hospitals, irrigation works the maintenance of police, Judiciary, forests, mints, granaries and Gowshalas.

Water is very important and necessary element for the existence of all living being. Since long, water has become more polluted because of some factors, among them pollution mainly created by heavy and toxic metal like, lead, barium, antimony, copper, chromium, cobalt, iron etc. This review paper is based on Heavy metals in water and its effects on health. This paper also advised to all who use water, should check the �standard guideline� for trace metals by WHO, EPA, Indian standard. �Water is life� we must be careful about pure water instead of poison based (polluted) water.

 Abstract

In present study, significant association was observed between education and coordination with husband, home management skills and parenting style of the respondents, types of the family was not significant associated with education. Women`s education leads to significant social development. However, in the last few decades, the participation of women in almost all government and non-government sectors including defense and administration has increased very fast. On the other hand emotional attachments are decreasing in parents, siblings, sons and daughters, even husband and wife. Therefore, keeping in mind the above mentioned said, an attempt has been made by the present study to know the effect of the education on family relation. A total of 150 women (61 illiterate and 89 literate, age group-25-60 years) were selected for study through schedule-cum-checklist.

 Abstract

In the present paper an attempt has been made to explain the various values and goals pertaining to Indian culture. There are different factors which affect human values in the life of an individual and the society. Values are generally loaded with affective thoughts about ideas, objects, behavior etc. When we think of values, we think of what is important to us in our lives e.g. security, independence, wisdom, success, kindness, and pleasure etc. Each of us holds numerous values with varying degrees of importance. A particular value may be very important to one person, but unimportant to another. The importance of human values is seen right from the childhood of a person. Preschool is the first stage or period that lays the foundation of information on human values. Because information about the values of life is a continuous process found in the society. However, the first information not only gains in earlier period that begin and end in the period to adolescence but also continues personality. From now on, there can be changes on these values, but basic values have been developed. Changing child�s wrong behavior is more difficult than trying to develop a new behavior. It is critical to develop the child�s personality in a planned and systematic process in order to prevent the wrong development of values education.

Abstract : This paper enables Role of Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) for upliftment in lower society in Muzaffarpur District. An attempt here has been made to study the poverty elevation programs through RRBs in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. The state of Bihar, Despite global melt-down and slower growth of the overall Indian economy, had got success to continue its growth momentum in 2012-13. In spite of unfavafable Mansoon, state�s Economy is likely to register a high growth performance in the current Fiscal year (2013-14) also. This has created new atmosphere of confidence in the state. The central government�s policies and demonetization campaign have spotlighted the war between cash payment and electronic payment. In the country like India where 90% of its population rely on conventional payment system i.e. physical cash and check rather than electronic payment, it is not so simple to consider and decide on the basis of cost and benefit of using E-payment system. The policies of the government and the increased use of technology are various factors that might directly or indirectly affect the use of electronic payment system. The factors like security, e-literacy, accessibility to internet etc. boosted the growth of electronic payment. . people should be educated towards cash less transactions services. Government tries to promote customers mind towards the risk factors. Cash less transaction helps to develop the Indian economy. Hence, each and every one should access and use the digital based transaction in the current scenario. As the increase in usage of technology provide a positive ground for the conduct of electronic transactions as it is ease of use, convenient, 24*7 available but it faces a lot of problems on the ground of complexity in usage , lack of internet accessibility etc. but this constraints can be easily overcome with the help of technology hence electronic payment has a greater prospective in the current scenario

 Abstract

The Government is unable to perform its various functions in the absence of revenue. It needs to perform a large number of activities requiring a huge public expenditure. To meet this expenditure it requires public revenue. Taxes are one of the important sources of public revenue. Taxes are not a recent origin. It was levied dates back to time immemorial. During the year 2010-11 the total returned filed was about 3.3% of the total population of India whereas the ratio of returned filed by Singapore was 39%, USA 46%, and New Zealand 75%.So, a number of efforts are continuously being made by the government to bring more and more people under the regime of taxation, so that public revenue can be increased. A number of tax reforms were initiated in the tax structure to widen the income tax base in India. This paper basically deals with the impact of various tax reforms on the income received by way of income tax and also its trends and pattern in India in the post reform period. The study is based on the income tax data from financial year 1991-92 to 2018-19 i.e a period of 28 years.

 Abstract

The Mystic Masseur is one of the V.S. Naipaul�s finest comic creations wherein, we see huge sensibility, humour, success, politics and endless creative imagination that have become the hallmarks of the author�s genius. The story of the novel is not only the life history of Ganesh Ramsumair; rather it is a story of social and economic life of the Indian islanders. The author shows his alienation and rootlessness of the people migrated from India to Trinidad. Here he puts stress on the importance of imagination for survival. The question is whether the novel The Mystic Masseur depicts the real Trinidad, the question is answered in King�s observations in his book. �Those familiar with Trinidadian history should recognize how Naipaul has used local events, characters and such politician characters and politicians such as Uriah Butler, Albert Gomes, Arthur Cipriani and Naipaul�s two uncles, Rudranath and Simbhoonath Capildeo in the novel. The paper proposes to examine how V.S. Naipaul uses the post-colonial myth and reality in his novel The Mystic Masseur.
