This review paper collates and compiles the available published literature on usage of two by-products of steel industry- Ground Granular Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) and Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag Sand (GGBFSS) in concrete production. Replacement of binder material, fine aggregate and coarse aggregates in concrete making partially or fully is well established and leads to the sustainable development and reduces the material cost. GGBFS and GGBFSS bears similar properties as that of cement and natural fine aggregate/M-sand respectively. Replacement of cement with alternative binding materials reduces the carbon foot-print. Substitution of conventional materials of concrete with GGBFS and GGBFSS at different replacement levels enhances the mechanical strength, workability and durability of concrete.

Temperature prediction is an attempt to forecast the temperature of a particular region at a particular time. Temperature prediction is very important as it helps to plan various activities. A prime example of its application is in the field of agriculture. Knowing the range of temperature on a particular day can help a farmer prepare for the next day in advance and plan his activities to obtain optimal output. Temperature forecasts are required by utility companies because they help in estimating demand [1]. An example would be in helping people decide the clothes they should wear on a particular day and hence predict the upcoming demand. If a person expects a sudden drop in temperature, he/she can dress accordingly. On top of that, it helps in various aerial activities such as planning flights and optimizing air traffic. It can be applied to several other areas of interest including marine and military applications. Hence it becomes an essential part of our daily lives. This paper uses four different Machine Learning algorithms - Linear regression, KNN, RandomForest, Neural network - to predict temperatures at a particular time. Proposed algorithms are evaluated using standard evaluation metrics. The results of all the algorithms are analysed and the paper also discusses the performance of the proposed algorithm. The goal of this paper is to accurately predict the temperature in a particular region at a particular time, given the temperature history of that region over the past few days.

Background: Filipinos aspire to provide a better livelihood for their families by working abroad in various occupations such as nursing, accountancy, engineering, etc. However, one aspect of working that may not be common to Filipinos in Qatar is work-shifting. Work-shifting is not a common topic discussed in the contemporary period. Thus, this phenomenological study describes the lived experiences of work-shifters and how they coped with the problems they experienced in different working shifts. Methods. This qualitative research utilized a phenomenological research design to understand the participants' lived experiences. Also, to know how they cope with the problems they experienced at work and in life related to the central question, "How do Filipino work-shifters identify their stress and coping mechanisms to reach self-actualization?" The researchers collected data through a semi-structured one-on-one interview that consisted of 25 developmental questions and was analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings. The information gathered have identified the stress and coping mechanism of work-shifters, namely: (1) Work Experiences include administration, challenges, and profession; (2) Work Strategies encompass workload, associate, and adaptation; (3) Career Growth involves sacrifices, training, and opportunities; (4) Emotional Solace highlights family, colleagues, and workplace. Conclusions. Work-shifting can be stressful, and they tend to use their emotional solace to relieve emotional stress and develop ways to lessen their work stress Recommendation. The study suggests that future researchers expand the pool of participants to elicit a broader range of responses about work-shifting to fill the literature gap.

The basic information has been collected through the well prepared questionnaire and supplemented by relevant secondary data. An in-depth study was run over 370 sample household and the result was shown in the tabulated form. The outcome of the study reveals that 39.5 percentage sample population belong to Scheduled Castes community and the percentage of men and women is 33.78 and 5.72 respectively. Education and Employment is the most important instrument of Socio-Economic Development. The educational level of the study area is not so good among the people of Scheduled Castes community except the present generation and in terms of higher education the level is very poor. The rate of literacy among women is far behind than men although the number of women is more than men. This research explores the subject of privacy from an Indian viewpoint, focusing on challenges in three areas: legal, technical, and political. To address these issues, we have suggested a framework. Advances in technology, such as mobility (geographic knowledge discovery), data mining, cloud computing, and so on, carry with them unanticipated concerns, one of which is the threat to "privacy." We can now access any information on anyone and from any location, but this creates a new threat to private and protected data. Due to the greater worldwide adoption of technology, many nations have implemented diverse legal frameworks, but India lacks a comprehensive legislative framework that addresses privacy concerns. To address serious cyber threats, we turn to the Information Technology Act of 2000, which was enacted to facilitate e-commerce and hence did not prioritize privacy. This proposed framework offers a comprehensive solution addressing current and future privacy needs in the Indian context. "The true power of any legislation resides in its ability and ease of enforcement," as it is accurately noted.

Abstract. Since bridges are one critical element of highway transportation, it is crucial to analyze seismic reliability of bridge to assess safety and serviceability to highway systems. Seismic reliability analysis is an efficient area of research that needs more input from engineers. The Seismic Reliability of a structure can be described as a probabilistic measure to assess the safety of a structure. Reliability assessment tech-niques are constructive tools for describing the potential of a structure to function in definite condition intended for an explicit point. The reliability assessment of bridges is useful for seismic retrofitting decisions and functionality of highway systems. The paper intends to study the existing seismic reliability assessment techniques.
