 Abstract

The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the human body arises at the lumbosacral plexus in the lower back, from the ventral rami of the L4, L5, S1, S2, S3 spinal nerves and travels posteriorly through the lower limb to reach the foot. Sciatic nerve performs both sensory and motor functions. Sciatica refers to pain that travels along the path of the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve may be irritated, compressed, or inflamed by several problems in the lower back, causing sciatica. Homeopathy medicines are effective way to treat sciatica pain. It not only rectifies the compression or irritation on the sciatic nerve but also helps in strengthening a patient's constitution so that the disease is cured of its roots and there are no further recurrences.

 Abstract

Plastic accumulation is now become one of the biggest threats to Planet Earth in this decade. As it is non-biodegradable and takes so many years in its natural degradation. So, its disposal becomes one of the biggest problems. Usually, for its disposal two ways are getting followed in practice. One is Incineration (Burning in furnace at higher temperature) and other dumping it for landfill. But both these ways are neither Bio-friendly or economical. Incineration of plastic pollutes the air adding Greenhouse and toxic gases while landfill makes that particular land area barren. So, in this context, only option is bio-remediation of plastic, in which plastic eating microorganisms and worms could help in getting rid of this menace. Some of the micro-organisms recognized to degrade plastic naturally are Pseudomonos, Escherichia and Bacillus genera. A newly discovered bacteria Ideonellaskaiensis has been identified to dispose plastic in 2016. Similarly, some worms have also been identified to eat plastic. This is probably one of the biggest and most essential area of research in this century. The present paper is a focus to use this biological system to make environment plastic free in an economical and bio-friendly way.

 Abstract

Jahangir, an intellectually astute and multilingual cosmopolitan monarch, was a naturalist and scholar who investigated Hindu customs and faith. He attended Parsee and Hindu celebrations, such as the Rakhi festival and Diwali. Jahangir's sovereign and mother, Man Bai, was a Rajput princess. Guru Arjan and Akbar maintained a cordial rapport; however, Jahangir ascended to the throne subsequent to Akbar's demise. Khusrau, his eldest son, rebelled and subsequently withdrew to Punjab. On the way, he encountered Guru Arjan after being apprehended by the imperial army. Khusrau was granted 5,000 rupees by the Guru in order to meet his expenditures. Conversely, his inability to wed Har Gobind to Prithia, the senior sibling of Guru Arjan, incited hostility from Chandu Shah and Prithia. Prithia and Chandu collaborated in an effort to eliminate the Guru. His son Mihrban apprised Emperor Jahangir of the event following Prithia's demise and provided Khusrau with reassurance regarding his prospective heir to the throne. Qazis and pandits capitalised on this circumstance by asserting that the Guru had written a book in opposition to the tenets of Islam and Hinduism. Jahangir embarked on a journey to Pushkar, a highly regarded Hindu pilgrimage site renowned for its multitude of ancient and contemporary sanctuaries, one of which was the "Deohara." In exchange for sustenance, Jahangir engaged in dialogue with the Jogis of Jakhbar, who were bestowed with land in Punjab. Jahangir ruled during the reign of Gaddi Chandar Nath, a chief to whom Akbar had granted land in 1578 A.D. Jahangir encountered inquiries from his disciples, with Bhandar Nath in particular, concerning the madad-i-mash grant that had been sanctioned by the emperor. After consenting to the request, he left.

 Abstract

The concept of the bail involves two conflicting concerns- an individual's right to liberty and his right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty against the society's interest in maintaining law, order and security. The custody of a person pending the completion of trial may cause great hardship to that person which may include loss of liberty, livelihood during that period. The object of keeping an accused person in detention prior to or during the trial is not punishment but to prevent repetition of offence with who is charged, to seek the presence of the accused during the trial and to prevent destruction of evidence. According to the Supreme Court of India, Bail is devised as a technique for effecting a synthesis of two basic concepts of human values, namely the right of the accused person to enjoy his personal freedom and the public interest; subject to which, the release is conditioned on the surety to produce the accused person in the court to face the trial. The current scenario on bail is a paradox in the criminal justice system, as it was created to facilitate the release of accused person but is now operating to deny them the release.

 Abstract

In this research work, we investigate an Elliptic Curve Cryptography-based approach to Secure Multiparty Computation (SMC). The extensive availability of data and the advancement of communication technologies have made it feasible for people in a scattered settings to collaborate on computations. The confidentiality of the information shared between the parties is crucial. The conventional approach to SMC is to have a trusted third party (TTP) to do the calculations. TTPs are difficult to implement in practice, which is why eliminating them from SMC is so important. Traditional homomorphic encryption methods, such as RSA and Paillier, are also used in the current proposed solutions for SMC. The increased costs of utilizing such cryptosystems render the resultant SMC protocols unscalable. We propose an Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC)-based approach to SMC that is TTP-free and scalable (in terms of computational and communication cost). Research and study of the many ECC-based homomorphic schemes described in the literature is required in order to choose the most suitable scheme for a given application. We conduct an empirical analysis of the available ECC-based homomorphic encryption algorithms, contrasting their relative merits in terms of metrics like computational and transmission overhead. From a pool of viable options, we advise one that is both secure and efficient enough to be utilized for any work that has to be kept secret.

 Abstract

The present study aims to categorize national male and female volleyball players of Chhattisgarh based on their level of self-confidence. It was decided to select 50 interuniversity male and 50 interuniversity female volleyball players. The chosen volleyball players have the domicile certificate of the state of Chhattisgarh. The average age of selected male volleyball players was 24.11 years and that of female volleyball players was 22.19 years. PSCI constructed by Pandey (1983) was used to collect data on self-confidence. Subjects scoring less than 23 marks on the inventory were placed in the low self-confidence group, subjects scoring between 24-37 marks were placed in the average self-confidence group and subjects scoring above 37 were placed in the high self-confidence group. Chi-square statistics was used for statistical analysis of data. It was found that the majority i.e. almost 50% of the national male and female volleyball players with domicile in Chhattisgarh exhibited a high level of self-confidence. Based on the results it may be concluded that around 50% of selected national volleyball players of Chhattisgarh possess a high level of self-confidence and for that reason, some psychological techniques such as self-talk, goal setting etc. need to be incorporated into the training plan so that the maximum number of national volleyball players can have optimum self-confidence and in this way it will boost the chances of volleyball players of Chhattisgarh to perform at elite level.

 Abstract

The pull shot is a crucial horizontal batting stroke in cricket, used by batsmen to counterattack against seamers and disrupt spinners. This study aimed to analyse the mechanics of the pull shot in intervarsity level batsmen. The linear displacement of body segments and kinematic variables were examined to understand the execution of the pull shot. Five male cricket players from Visva-Bharati University, aged 22-26 years, participated in the study. Video footage of pull shots was captured and analysed using Kinovea software. The results revealed a reduction in stride length from back lift to follow-through, indicating a tightening of the stride as the batsman approached and executed the shot. The percentage of stride length relative to body height decreased during impact and follow-through. Kinematic variables such as knee angles, hip angles, shoulder angles, elbow angles, and bat blade position were also analysed. The findings contribute to the understanding of pull shot mechanics in intervarsity level batsmen. Further research with larger and more diverse samples, including female cricketers and elite-level players, is recommended to enhance the generalizability of the findings. The knowledge gained from this study can be utilized by coaches to improve training methodologies and enhance player performance in executing the pull shot effectively.

 Abstract

The history of an organized response to the refugee problem can be traced to the birth of the League of Nations. By 1920 it became increasingly clear that large scale refugee movements in Europe could not be dealt without inter Governmental co operation. In 1921 Dr. Fridtjof Nansen assumed the office of the High Commissioner for Russian Refugees. Subsequently his services were used to deal other refugee flows. In 1921, the Assembly set up the Nansen International Office for Refugees which was liquidated in 1938. An International Committee on Refugee (ICR) was established in 1938 as an independent International Refugee Organization outside the framework of the League of Nations.

 Abstract

Premature contraction of the uterus is the very first sign of premature labor, which is followed by progressive changes in cervix such as effacement and dilatation. Four or more uterine contractions with or without pain per hour is a major biophysical predictor of preterm labor. According to the WHO statistics, every year, an estimated 15 million babies are born preterm and this number is rising. Although tocolytic agents are used to suppress premature contractions and prevent preterm labor, it is not proven to be efficacious in preventing preterm birth or reducing neonatal mortality or morbidity. In the United States, preterm delivery is the leading cause of neonatal morbidity and is the most common reason for hospitalization during pregnancy. The rate of preterm delivery (before 37 weeks' gestation) has been declining since 2007. Clinical diagnosis of preterm labor is made if there are regular contractions and concomitant cervical change. Less than 10% of women with a clinical diagnosis of preterm labor will deliver within seven days of initial presentation. Women with a history of spontaneous preterm delivery are 1.5 to two times more likely to have a subsequent preterm delivery. Antenatal progesterone is associated with a significant decrease in subsequent preterm delivery in certain pregnant women. Current recommendations are to prescribe vaginal progesterone in women with a shortened cervix and no history of preterm delivery, and to use progesterone supplementation regardless of cervical length in women with a history of spontaneous preterm delivery.

 Abstract

The method of teaching in ancient India was called the Pathshala system or the traditional method. During the Vedic period, schools of this method were quite prevalent. But in post-independence India some methods were refined and some methods were discontinued to influence education. Notable among them are Bhandarkar method, textbook method, direct method, interview method, structured method, coordination method and play method of teaching. These methods influence student learning.
