ABSTRACT Pea leaf weevil is also scientifically known as Sitona lineatus. The pest feeds on peas, beans and other plants of family Fabaceae. Adults are approximately 3-5mm in length with coloured scales series in striae on elytra. Fine pointed setae amongst the scales are present at the pronotum and head region. Antennae are preceded by seven segments and are generally clubbed and pointed in appearance. Tibia and tarsi are red coloured whereas the femur appears dark. They hibernate in winter. Breeding occurs in spring. Adults feed on leaf margins making it notch edged whereas larvae feed on root nodules. Yield loss is approx. 30-40%. Although chemical-pesticides protect the yield but they are harmful for the environment. So for the sake of environment, bio-pesticides should be used. The present study has the following extracts that may be used as bio-pesticide, i.e. Curcuma longa, Zingiber officinale and Barleria prionitis. At an interval of 5 days these extracts were used for 3 days for checking their efficacy against Sitona lineatus. When results were observed it showed that Barleria prionitis was most effective with highest mortality of about 85.74% and Zingiber officinale was least effective with only 60.45% of mortality. However Curcuma longa showed fewer efficacies than Barleria prionitis but was still more effective than Zingiber officinale with 72.38% of mortality. Damage % on Pisum sativum after application of 1st , 2nd , 3rd and 4th round of Curcuma longa was 3.02, 3.45, 3.57 and 3.60 whereas for Barleria prionitis it was 2.84, 2.99, 3.07 and 3.15 and as for Zingiber officinale it was 3.17, 3.40, 3.85 and 4.26. Percent infestation reduced when Barleria prionitis was used.

Facial expressions play an important role in conveying the emotional states of human beings. Classi?cation of human emotions remains an important and challenging task for many computer vision algorithms. Recently, deep learning approaches have been applied to emotion recognition field due to the discriminative power of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). In this project, to predict the patient facial expressions automatically using HAAR Cascade and CNN Algorithm. If it is negative emotion, gives an alert message to the doctor. HAAR Cascade algorithm used to extract the facial points of humans. And Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) Algorithm used to predict the human emotions in which matching the feature vectors of trained model then label the emotions. After, classify the emotions if it is positive or negative emotions with improved accuracy.

Every year many people lose their lives due to road accidents. The cause for road accidents may be many reasons and one of the common reasons is the drowsiness of a driver. Micro drowsiness or fatigue can be a major cause to a huge accident. Thus, initial detection of fatigue before a critical situation may occur, is the ongoing research of this paper. A real-time eye-blink and yawn detection algorithm is proposed in this paper. The recent landmark detectors are trained on various datasets, with varying light and facial expressions and tested against robustness and intelligence with respect to a camera. The first step is to detect the facial region and capture video sequences using computer vision techniques. In the next step, the facial landmark detectors are used for locating the eyes and mouth region of the driver which are studied using the eye aspect ratio(EAR), which is a single scalar quantity to detect the eye and mouth opening in each frame. We show that the facial landmarks are detected precisely to show the level of eye and mouth opening. Finally, in collaboration, the driver state that is, asleep or awake, is determined and a warning alarm is played if sleep is detected. These various experiments prove a high accuracy against the proposed idea.

The pandemic caused by the deadly virus COVID-19, has rendered a significant proportion of the workforce to shift to the digital mode of working. Keeping in mind the social distancing norms, stringent lockdowns has become a policy priority for most governments. WFH, which was earlier imagined by the workforce of India, now has become the new normal. In doing so, the policies must be made keeping in mind the practicality for both employers and employees. However, this pandemic situation is giving proper insights regarding the flexibility and effectiveness of the WFH concept. The study uses an exploratory framework and a SWOT analysis, and investigates the experience of the employer and employees in India. A critical insight and useful suggestions have been recommended for future policy implications. It will also critically investigate if this digital workplace will remain as a transitory element, or it could be a permanent arrangement.

Value plays a crucial role in the progress and development of human civilization. At present, inculcation of values is a useful tool for providing students with emotional and social protection in day to day human life and society also. From that point of view, the practice of values through the textbooks among students should also be taken into a consideration. At the present curriculum scenario, the practices of values have given more importance through textbooks. Through the vernacular textbooks, the cognitive domain (knowledge) is trained and enriched but there is a lot of scope to enrich the and affective (feelings), psychomotor (doing) domain in respect of values inherent in the textbooks. This study investigates how the reflected values are embedded in different educational domains among the various forms of content of Bengali Language and Literature textbooks presently taught at the primary level of public sector of West Bengal. Qualitative content analysis approach has been employed for the analysis of the selected textbooks of primary level. The findings of the study are that there are only twenty three (23) numbers of values have been reflected in fifty eight (58) times through the different educational objective of domains. The psychomotor domain (23 out of 58) has been more emphasized to teach and delivering the concept of the contents as well as values than cognitive (17 out of 58) and affective domains (18 out of 58). Therefore, the study suggests that teachers should practice the knowledge (cognitive domains) of the textbooks related to values through the psychomotor domain which can further expand the world of the child's consciousness (affective domains) as fruitful results for the nation.

Evaluation of some endophytes have been carried for their possible antimicrobial activity from various parts of medicinal plants belonging to Shreeyash Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Botanical garden Aurangabad Maharashtra (India).A total of eight bacterial endophytes and nine fungal endophytes were isolated from the aerial and underground parts of selected medicinal plants. Isolated endophytic fungal species possess antifungal and antibacterial activity respectively. Endophytic microorganisms are recognize as a potential source of novel chemical molecules that might be useful in the treatment of various diseases. Bioactive compounds of endophytic fungi exhibit antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticancerous, antiviral and insecticidal properties. This research paper focused on the isolation, production, screening and separation of exploitable bioactive compounds from the plants Tulsi, Alovera, curry leaves, gulvel and turmeric leaves and stems. The obtain culture of endophytic fungi were tested for antimicrobial activity against commonly found both Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms i.e. Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli.. An inhibitory zone around the colony of endophytic fungi was evident of good antimicrobial activity of the fungi. From the isolated endophytic fungal species i.e. aspergillus oryzae extracted the enzyme amylase.
