The status of women has been the central concern of many reform movements before and after independence. First, women were stereotyped as servile and submissive beings wholly incapable of having an individual identity, independent existence and autonomy. Second, males in the Indian society had understood that religion was a very important tool that had enabled them to keep their women's social and economic position intact, thereby limiting chances of a potential challenge to male superiority. Third, the male patriarchs had realised that making education inaccessible and unavailable to the Indian women was the best way to prevent an awakening among the women folk, thereby continuing with male dominance in the society. As such, the dominating Indian male would never let the balance of power tilt in favour of the women folk. To that extent, they vociferously resisted the blooming of the seeds of social transformation in the Indian society.

Health insurance aims to provide financial security and access to necessary healthcare services, promoting better health outcomes and reducing the financial burden of medical expenses on individuals and families. The specific terms and regulations of health insurance can vary by country and insurer, so it is essential to understand the details of medical insurance policy. Health insurance covers medical expenses related to illness or injury in exchange of a premium amount. It allows the insurance company to provide financial assistance for hospitalization, daycare, critical illness, etc. the main objectives of the study is to study the utilization of health insurance in India and identify different the Dimensions of the health insurance. However it concluded that health insurance is important because cost towards good medical facilities and hospitalization can be financially stressful.

This is a prospective study carried out in the General Medicine Ward for a period of 12 months. The medication adherence of all the adult patients (>=18 years of age) of both gender needed to be assessed is included in the study. Vulnerable subjects were excluded from the study. Out of 100 patients, the distribution of males and females were found to be 66% and 34% respectively. This study shows that 77% were adherent to their medications and 23% were not. 72% has shown to have improved in their overall QOL and 28% of the patients showed no improvement in their overall QOL, out of which most were, geriatric patients due to multiple co morbidities, physiological changes and poly-pharmacy. The study findings revealed that geriatrics were more prone to develop T2DM with HTN. It is found that low socio economic status is one of the main reasons for non-medication adherence. This shows that the medication adherence have direct influence on patient's quality of life. So, increased medication adherence improves the overall QOL.

ABSTRACT: The aim of the study is to assess the effectiveness of planned teaching programme on knowledge regarding internet addiction among college students. The conceptual framework used in this study was based on J.W.Kenny's Open System Model. The study adopted an evaluative and pre experimental approach. 50 samples were selected by using probability systemic sampling technique in selected college at karur. The data was collected by using self-administered questionnaire to assess the level of knowledge before and after intervention. The data was analysed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics, Paired 't' test was used to assess the knowledge regarding internet addiction. There was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. There was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test knowledge scores of college students. This study concluded that planned teaching programme was highly effective to increase the knowledge regarding internet addiction among college students.

The aim of this study work presented in this paper is to assess the quality of 1st class burnt clay bricks manufactured in 5 (five) different clay brick manufacturing industry in the Jorhat district of Assam. This study also attempts to understand the entire manufacturing process that is followed in clay brick manufacturing. 20 bricks samples were randomly collected from each of the 5 (five) clay brick manufacturing industries namely NBF, BBB, SBI, MAYUR and MAK to determine their physical and mechanical properties. In this regard, four principal quality tests such as Water absorption test, Efflorescence test, Compressive strength test and Dimension test was conducted and the test results were compared with IS recommended values. From the water absorption test, it was found that NBF, SBI and MAYUR met the IS requirement. The efflorescence test results for all the brick brands were found satisfactory as per IS Code of clay burnt bricks. The compressive strength of (14.72 - 17.82 N/?mm?^2) were within the class designation of burnt clay brick. The brick samples were observed to have length, width and height within the tolerance level. This study will be helpful to the researchers, policy makers and concerned authorities to perform the quality analysis test of 2nd and 3rd class clay bricks in future.

Large intestine cancer was occasionally identified a few decades back. It is currently the fourth most dangerous cancer in the globe, causing almost yearly deaths. Negative risk factors like avoirdupois, inactivity, and smoking, in addition to an ageing population and the dietary practices of high-income nations, raise the risk of large intestine cancer. A brief discussion of the genetic and environmental risk factors for large intestine cancer is provided in this critique. Familial, hereditary, lifestyle-related, and environmental variables are all recognized risk factors for large intestine cancer. Factors are significant because they have the potential to advance our knowledge of the disease. The survival rate is currently used to forecast a patient's outlook. If a first-degree relative has been identified with large intestine cancer or colonic polyps before the age of sixty, or if two or more first-degree relatives have been diagnosed with cancer or polyps at any age, the patient is considered to have a positive family history. There are numerous methods for examining the large intestine for cancer, including flexible sigmoidoscopy, endoscopy, enema, faeces chemistry analysis, and deoxyribonucleic acid faecal occult testing. The prognosis, survival, and course of therapy for the patient depend on the stage at which the cancer is discovered.

Reactive oxygen species (ROS)-mediated diseases, characterized by oxidative stress and inflammation, pose significant challenges in the field of medicine. Bilirubin, a natural antioxidant derived from heme breakdown, has shown remarkable potential in scavenging ROS and mitigating their detrimental In recent years, the development of nanomedicines has emerged as a promising approach for targeted drug delivery and enhanced therapeutic efficacy. This review explores the utilization of bilirubin nanomedicines as a novel strategy for the treatment of ROS-mediated diseases. Various biocompatible nanoparticles, including liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles, and lipid nanoparticles, have been employed to encapsulate bilirubin, ensuring its stability and improving its pharmacokinetics. Additionally, surface modifications of nanoparticles with ligands enable targeted delivery of bilirubin to specific cells or tissues affected by oxidative stress. Conjugation of bilirubin to nanoparticles further enhances its stability, cellular uptake, and controlled release in response to ROS or other stimuli.
