 Abstract

The artificial intelligence (AI) system related research and concepts are changing with rapid pace and are becoming more and more important and relevant to the present needs. The concept of emotional intelligence is one of the primary concern for AI research. The interaction with human emotions intelligently is the need of the hour for the technology. The integration of AI with emotional intelligence systems should work along with humans. Emotions in humans is a multidimensional parameter and therefore could not be considered as a mechanism for enhancing intelligence. We have studied the emotional intelligence among the university students of different School of Studies. The issues related to technical competence have been discussed. A sample of 100 students (70 males and 30 females) drawn from 6 School of Studies has been considered. A questionnaire consisting of 16 questions was prepared and mailed to the students. The data collected was analysed. We observed that under the category of reading people, all the four variants namely self-analysis, analysis of others, self-expression and discrimination, the emotional intelligence is very high, more than 70%. All the four variants under the category using emotions, the emotional intelligence is very high, more than 80%. In case of judgement, the emotional intelligence was extremely high (90%). The three variants under the category understanding emotions, the emotional intelligence is very high, more than 80%. The three variants under the category managing emotions, the emotional intelligence is very high, more than 70%. In case of self-control, the emotional intelligence was extremely high (90%).

 Abstract

The rapid growth in the electronic commerce over the Internet has fuelled predictions and speculations about what makes an e-commerce web site effective. Technology, being the backbone of web based online shopping application, has a potential to play a major role in overcoming the issues users face while purchasing online which dissuades them from making successful transactions. The growth of online shopping is dependent on the spread and growth of internet usage and improvement in hardware and software technologies where more and more content can be delivered to the users at a much faster pace than before. Specifically, the present study examined the relative importance of technical, trusting, and facilitating environment in influencing consumer intention to purchase online. For this, a convenience sampling has been collected empirically using survey questionnaires method from various part of India in early 2014. The findings revealed that sites embedded with advanced technical environment and having trusting and facilitating environment help enhancing customers buying intention. The results of the study will be useful to e-retailers and e-marketers to enhance their site preference and their customer base.

 Abstract

Background & Purpose: A stroke is a condition where a blood clot or ruptured artery or blood vessel interrupts blood flow to an area of the brain. A lack of oxygen and glucose (sugar) flowing to the brain leads to the death of brain cells and brain damage, often resulting in an impairment in speech, movement, and memory. Age has been shown to have a strong association with the incidence of stroke Main disability in stroke is gait. METHODS: In this study, Stroke subjects from various Neuro medical centres, Bangalore were selected according to inclusion criteria in randomized controlled trial. 40 subjects were included for the study, i.e 20 subjects each group. Group 1 patients were treated with speed dependent treadmill training with conventional Physical therapy whereas Group 2 patients were treated with only conventional Physical therapy. Status were assessed before start treatment session and after the end of 1 month with outcome measures by Walking speed, Cadence, Timed Up and Go (TUG) test. Pre and post-test values of 2 groups were statistically compared. RESULTS : It shows that significant increase in gait and mobility in speed dependent treadmill training with conventional Physical therapy group than only conventional Physical therapy group. CONCLUSION: The result of the study indicates that adding speed dependent treadmill training with conventional physical therapy is more effective for improvement of mobility than only conventional Physical therapy.

 Abstract

- The design communication is gradually being changed from 2D based to integrated 3D digital interface. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a model-based design concept, in which buildings will be built virtually before they get built out in the field, where data models organized for complete integration of all relevant factors in the building lifecycle which also manages the information exchange between the AEC (Architects, Engineers, Contractors) professionals, to strengthen the interaction between the design team. BIM is a shared knowledge about the information for decisions making during its lifecycle. Theres still much to be learned about the opportunities and implications of this tool. In this project studing BIM appling on existing building, this existing building having G+1 floor with total built up area 158.07 SQM .In this building ground floor having 2BHK and first floor having 2BHK and on terrace floor having attched toilet.

 Abstract

:Islanding refers to the condition in which a distributed generator (DG) continues to power a location even though electrical grid power from the electric utility is no longer present. It should be detected as fast as possible in order to avoid the serious safety hazards and the damage of DG itself. In this paper, comparative study between wavelet transform (WT) and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) on detection of islanding in a grid connected photovoltaic system is done. The negative sequence component of the voltage signal at Point of Common Coupling (PCC), a measure of unbalance in the system, is used in WT islanding detection. THD is calculated from the current signal at PCC. The energy content and standard deviation of WT are calculated in order to validate the graphical results. The results demonstrate the advantages of WT over THD in detection of islanding.

 Abstract

Background: This world has been witnessing a catastrophic event since the dawn of the year 2020, called COVID 19. This deadly virus not only spread disease throughout the world, but also ignites an extreme level of stress to the human kind. Medical and Paramedical professionals across the globe has been immensely pressurized to find the best solution with a very brief time. Despite knowing the deadly outcome, medical and paramedical professionals have been working day and night with patients, which tremendously raise the stress among them. In this context work life balance plays a very important role in order to maintain employees job satisfaction by lessening stress. The study was conducted in a few health care industries such as occupational health centers in industry, private clinics, and private hospitals in and around Chennai. Aim: It is to identify the critical work life balance (WLB) factors and to analyze the primary data on these factors Influencing WLB in the health care industries. Materials and Methods: Systematic random sampling method was adopted to collect 56 samples using a developed questionnaire. Thirty Five variables influencing work life balance were identified in the questionnaire, validated and the response of the medical and paramedical staff was measured by applying Likert type five-point scale. Statistical Analysis: The data was analyzed by the IBM-SPSS version-20 and the Mini-Tab Version-16. Descriptive Statistics, Factor Analysis using Principal Component Analysis with Varimax Rotation and Pearsons correlation tests were performed. Results: The factor analysis revealed that six factors are the predominant factors that influence work life balance in health care industries. The result of correlation analysis also confirms the positive correlation among the above six factors and it is found to be at 5% level of significance. Conclusions and Implications: This study has demonstrated that the work life balance components were varying based on the type of management, organizations, facilities etc. It is concluded that there is a significant level of association and hence the management in health care industries has to consider these factors and focus more on Occupational Health and HRM policies and practices suitably to create conducive, comfortable & productive work environment.

 Abstract

India is a federal country. Whenever we open our class 6 textbooks, we always are able to read this phrase. However, when we become a bit mature, only then we come to realise that no, it may not be a federal, but a quasi-federal country. But, has anyone thought that there can be many more other types of federalisms too? Though right in the front of our eyes, but, we may not notice them. This article strives to apply a gradual, scientific and illustrative approach to explain the various new types of federalisms which are prevalent during the Corona Virus times. Moreover, we will see a graphical representation of the ways in which the Rights of the public are taken care of (if), during the various types of federalisms, with respect to time. Alluding to certain recent stories from the news, we will also look at the ways in which these new concepts had worked in our nation. We will also be introduced to a new concept, i.e., Perfect Federalism and understand how it is different from the other types, predominantly Cooperative Federalism. The readers shall be exposed to new definitions, concepts and perspectives towards the already existing umbrella term of federalism and be made to understand that how we make some major mistakes while trying to understand the federal concept. We will also look into a new concept called federalistic and anti-federalistic federalisms, whereby the various types would be put under these two categories accordingly and we will see that why do they fall under them. Finally, we must understand one important thing that every nations Federalism is the product of its own history, yet some minimum universal standards can be set to avoid any nation becoming completely unitary.
