 Abstract

Service sector has become the most important sector of economy, contributing half to Net State Domestic Product of Assam. Similar to the income, this sector also plays an important role in providing employment in the state. The objective of the paper is to understand the changes in the composition of employment of different sub-sectors of the service sector in Assam. Some services may create more employment than the average for all services and others create lesser. The service sector appears to be the major employer in the urban areas as more than 70 percent of the workers in urban areas are engaged in this sector. From the discussion, it is found that employment in the urban areas is marked by the pre dominance of women unlike rural areas which sees the predominance of men.

 Abstract

This article focuses on defining the principles of bioadhesive delivery systems based on hydrogels to biological surfaces that are covered by mucus. Mucoadhesion can be defined as the process by which a natural or a synthetic polymer can adhere to a biological substrate. There are many routes of mucoadhesive drug delivery system, oral route is the most ancient as well as preferred by patient being convenient to take. However peroral route has short comings such as hepatic first pass metabolism and enzymatic degradation in GIT which is a hindrance to the absorption of most proteins and peptides groups of drugs. The buccal mucosa is a barrier, providing protection to underlying tissue, but is more permeable than other alternative routes such as the skin. Buccal films are polymeric matrices designed to be mucoadhesive properties and usually formulated with permeability enhancers to improve bioavailability. Conventionally, buccal films for biologics are manufactured by solvent casting, yet recent developments have shown the potential of hot melt extrusion, and most recently ink jet printing as promising strategies. The research on mucoadhesives, however, is still in its early stage, and further advances need to be made for the successful translation of the concept into practical application in controlled drug delivery.

 Abstract

The ability to communicate is unique to the humankind. The effect of cooperative teaching strategies to develop Communication skill among Secondary school students was investigated. The 80 8th graders were divided into two groups. The experimental group was taught using the cooperative teaching strategies while the control group was taught using the traditional approach. The instruments used were as follows: Communication skill rating scale, and the cooperative teaching strategies for the intervention. The findings revealed that: a) there is a significant difference in the pre-test and post-test of experimental group students, b) there is a significant difference in the post test performance of experimental and control groups, c) there is no significant difference in the pre-test and post-test of control group.

 Abstract

This paper is designed to retrieve bits from OF DMT time-domains, without the use of explicit DFT/IDFT. Deep and complex DCCN network is developed. Both the frame sync and the PAPR (peak to average power ratio) reductions in a single pilot sequence are achieved in this study. The two systems considered are DCO-OFDM and O-FDM divided by the asymmetric based optical orthogonal frequency division (ACO-OFDM). Only strange indexed subcontractors can have the pilot symbol. The pilot signal from the receiver uses the pilot frame to detect the mirror symmetry of the pilot symbol from the synchronization algorithm. In order to optimize and approximate LMMSE and traditional CP enhancements, the DCCN receiver can exceed legacy channel estimates with varying delays and mobility on Rayleigh's fading channels. However, the proposed approach is currently not supported by popular deep learning platforms, which benefit from complex neural networks' expressive nature.

 Abstract

Our study was descriptive with retrospective approach extracting and analyzing the medical record data of renal trauma patient for the last four years. We reported a total of 84 renal trauma that were analyzed consisted with 5 to 20 years old (35.71%) male and 86.9% patients. Most of our patients were due to blunt trauma (95.2%) caused by motor vehicular accidents and penetrating trauma (4.8%). Grade I trauma accounted for most of the cases with 33.3% followed by grade IV with 23% and grade III with 19.2 %. Several complications were observed including anemia (28.3%) and hematuria (82.1%). The most common procedure performed was nephrectomy (36.3%). Mortality rate was the highest in grade IV renal trauma (50%). Hemodynamically stable patients were found in 86.9% and did not require blood transfusion. Prognosis was affected by associated other injuries.

 Abstract

In the modern world, we are evolving with newer stages using technology to upgrade ourselves with the competitive world. Nowadays in teaching new methods are developed to transform the atmosphere of the learning environments to make them more interactive and participative manner. The methods like collaborative learning flipped classroom, Gamification, cross-over learning, etc. were effective modern teaching tools in recent years. These methods are used to improve thinking skills, teamwork, and life-oriented skills which the basis of Outcome-based education (OBE) for the learners. The objective of the research is to study the impact of the collaborative teaching method to improve teamwork skills by Lean methodology and academic level of Implementation.
