 Abstract

The rapid proliferation of social media platforms has ushered in a new era of political communication, fundamentally transforming the dynamics of ideological discourse and contributing to the rise of political polarization. This research paper examines the intricate relationship between social media and political polarization, shedding light on how these digital spaces have become breeding grounds for ideological division. The paper delves into the evolution of political communication, tracing the transition from traditional media to the digital realm. It highlights the distinctive features of social media, such as algorithmic curation and personalized content delivery, which play a pivotal role in shaping users' information consumption patterns. Through the lens of cognitive psychology, the paper elucidates how confirmation bias, selective exposure, and cognitive dissonance interact with social media dynamics, reinforcing preexisting beliefs and perpetuating ideological polarization. Moreover, the study scrutinizes the amplification of extremism within social media ecosystems. Drawing from case studies and examples, it demonstrates how these platforms have been exploited to magnify polarized viewpoints, enabling the rapid dissemination of disinformation and fostering echo chambers that isolate users from alternative perspectives. The emergence of online communities centered around identity politics further exacerbates the issue, as individuals are drawn into ideological bubbles that reinforce their sense of belonging and shared beliefs. While the negative ramifications of social media-induced polarization are explored, the paper also acknowledges the positive aspects, such as its role in political mobilization and activism. It examines instances where social media has empowered marginalized voices, effectively challenging established power structures. Additionally, the study investigates potential strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of polarization, including media literacy initiatives, platform regulations, and efforts to promote constructive online dialogue. As society grapples with the implications of these developments, the paper concludes by outlining future trends and potential pathways forward. It emphasizes the need for a balanced approach to digital engagement, highlighting the importance of informed consumption, critical thinking, and responsible online citizenship in countering the corrosive effects of political polarization. By comprehensively examining the nexus of social media and ideological division, this paper contributes to a nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities that lie at the intersection of technology and politics.

 Abstract

An enhanced method has been proposed in this work to detect different face angles of the same individual and the ability to recognize them correctly within appreciable amount of time is being presented. Image enhancement is an important part of facial recognition. In this work, Histogram Equalization is employed to adjust the image intensity and enhance the contrast. Feature extraction is a significant step to detect and subsequently recognize the face. To extract more productive features from these static images, this work recommends an algorithm based on the concatenation of the Modified Pixel Difference Value (MPDV) and Two Power Term features. MPDV is a modified version of PDV where due to immense pixel preservation the information in the image is highly conserved. Since the Two Power Term follows a pattern that is uniformly growing it increases the information of the pixels by a great amount that helps in obtaining efficient features to be compared. To generate a row vector, the features are concatenated from above two techniques, which are restructured into a column vector. Utilizing Euclidean distance column vectors of all the images from the database are compared against the column vectors of the test image. To perceive the individual minimum distance between the specific image and the location of the image in the database is obtained.

 Abstract

The little Indian plant, known as Elephantopus scaber Linn., is from the Asteraceae family. Although "Elephant's Foot" is the most frequent English name for Elephantopusscaber, the scientific term "Elephantopusscaber" is more Elephant's Foot, also known as Prickly-leaves or Rough-leaves. Traditional medicine has long relied on this plant's components to cure a wide range of illnesses. The principal chemical classes found by biochemical analysis include phenolic acids, terpenoids, flavonoids, coumarines, essential oils, and quinones. Deoxyelephantopin, which is found in high concentrations in this plant, has been the focus of rigorous screening and confirmation of its anticancer potential. Various study publications have documented a broad range of other biological properties, like antibacterial, antidiarrheal, diuretic, wound healing ability, antioxidant, antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-asthmatic, antiplatelet, and so on.The main purpose of the review is to assess thetraditional uses, biochemical constituents, biochemical and physiological effects and bioactivities of Elephantopusscaber L. growing in India.

 Abstract

Most applications, including e-commerce, online banking, the military, satellite and wireless communications, electronic devices and appliances, etc., consider data security to be a major factor and give it significant weight. By transforming the data into a format that is difficult for unneeded people to understand, cryptography is a technique used to keep data secure and private. This method offers a reliable, affordable means of protecting our data secrecy and aids in data integrity verification. The side channel attacks that cryptography is subject to make it difficult to provide error-free data. The proposed AES accelerator improves the horizontal (temporal) SCA hiding of asynchronous logic operations using a timing-boundary-free input arrival time randomizer and a skewed-delay controller while achieving vertical (amplitude) SCA hiding via an area-efficient dual-rail mapping approach and a ZV compensated substitution-box (S-Box). Additionally, a chaotic sequence is used in between each step of the cypher text generation process. As a result, the design will reduce the area overhead, offer strong defence against side channel attacks, and increase the system dependability. The proposed design is implemented in Xilinx Vivado 2018.3, and final result of the simulation are used to validate the output

 Abstract

Abstract The family environment is the most important social context for modelling behaviour and the study of parenting styles is relevant for comprehending the socialization process and the developmental outcome of adolescents. The current study aims to examine whether maternal and paternal parenting styles vary based on the gender of adolescents. The study also determines the most conventional parenting style employed by mothers and fathers while rearing their adolescents. A descriptive research design was followed to study the objectives. The sample was collected using a convenient sampling method, consisting of 120 students, of which 60 were males, and 60 were female participants studying in class 9th and 10th schools of Aligarh. To achieve the objectives of the study, the Parental Authority Questionnaire (Buri, 1991) was used. The result showed that the authoritative parenting style of mothers and fathers was the most prevalent style perceived by adolescents, followed by permissive and authoritarian parenting styles. The result also found no significant gender difference in adolescents in the three parenting styles. It can be concluded that the parents need to adopt an authoritative parenting style, which is the most effective one and results in several favourable developmental outcomes for adolescents. Moreover, the result also signifies that parents are adopting similar parenting styles regardless of their adolescents' gender.

 Abstract

Development in environmentally friendly development owing to hazardous metal contamination is severely hampered. Arguably the most harmful elements to plants and human beings is cadmium (Cd). Cd represents a key contributor to the overall degradation of the environment. It may be found in both naturally occurring and man-made substances. "Phytoremediation" the employment of plants to remove such toxins from the environment proves to be a potential substitute for the existing remediation techniques. The Parthenium hyterophorus L. represents one such unique plant. The species is recommended for the reason of its quick spread throughout India as well as the rest of the world plus its inedibility by herbivore. Given the foregoing, the research objective of the study was to demonstrate phytoremediation potential of Parthenium hyterophorus L. in Cd contaminated soils employing pot experiments. During the pot experiment, four different concentrations of cadmium (5, 10, 15, and 20 mg/kg) have been established. At the 30th, 60th, and 90th harvested days following the treatment, sample were taken to determine the plant's potential for phytoremediation. The results indicated that cadmium stress diminished development (root and shoot lengths) and biomass variables, and that cadmium hyperaccumulator ability was evident based on the bioaccumulation coefficient (BAC), bioconcentration factor (BCF), and translocation factor (TF). As a result, it can be said that Parthenium hyterophorus L.is capable of handling cadmium contamination effectively and serves as a vitally significant and economically advantageous measure for sustainable and environmental preservation.
