Field visit to Ghat areas indicated that the leaves of roadside plants were heavily coated with lead and air pollutants coming out from automobile exhausts. During rainy season the washings of the plant flow to low land areas, where different crops are cultivated. The production in these contaminated crop fields significantly reduced. Significant amount of residual lead was observed in the older plant leaves. The roadside plants were showing stunted growth and decrease in pigment content was noted in the roadside plant leaves compared to standard control plant leaves. Biomolecular analysis indicated that FAA and RNA content slightly increased whereas other biomolecules like DNA & RNA decreased significantly in lead nitrate exposed seedlings compared to control seedlings. Noteworthy changes in DNA content was not observed in exposed seedlings, indicating no cell death induced by lead. But the interference of lead in biomolecular synthesis can not be ruled out.

The Burhi Gandak river is a major river in the Muzaffarpur region of India, and it plays a significant role in the lives of the local population. The river provides a vital source of water for irrigation, drinking, and other domestic purposes, and it is also an important transportation route for goods and people. The presence of the Burhi Gandak river has likely contributed to the population growth and economic development of Muzaffarpur city. The availability of water for irrigation may have facilitated the development of agriculture in the region, which in turn may have attracted people to the area. The river may also have played a role in the development of other industries, such as fishing and transportation. However, the Burhi Gandak river can also have negative impacts on the population and economic development of Muzaffarpur city. Flooding is a common occurrence in the region, and it can damage infrastructure, disrupt transportation, and displace people from their homes. In addition, pollution from industrial and agricultural sources can have negative impacts on the quality of the river water, which can affect the health of the local population and the viability of the river as a source of irrigation and drinking water. Overall, the Burhi Gandak river has both positive and negative impacts on the population, migration, and economic development of Muzaffarpur city. Managing these impacts effectively will be key to ensuring a sustainable future for the region.

'Globalization: a boon or a curse' has always been in discussions amongst top bureaucrats, policymakers, economists, business houses, and others. The past decade has been a mini golden era of contemporary globalization. Not just the trade in goods and services grew but the capital flows also grew at a rapid rate. The rapid growth has come at a cost of growing inequality across the countries. In recent times, evidence that challenges theoretical predictions of the positive impact of globalization has become largely available. This paper is an attempt to address the subject using some empirical methods on the impact of international trade on income inequality. We have used World Integrated Trade Solution (WITS) data for our analysis. We have constructed two panels, one for developing countries with data on 26 countries for 6 years (2012-2017) and another for developed nations with data on 25 countries for 6 years. Our results suggest that natural, political and social endowments contribute more towards income inequality than trade

This paper focuses on preparation of electronic dictionary for school students studying Tamil language poetry. The e- dictionaries incorporate an annotated corpus, providing a wealth of context, including historical insights and historical artifacts. Poetry is a verbal art form. It requires reading, writing and understanding. The study also explores the potential benefits and limitations of integrating technology into language learning, specifically Tamil poetry. The information technology revolution has changed the attitude towards learning and internet has become a desired delivery tool and web based language learning has become more user friendly to day. Learning of poetry is part of activity in language learning situation. The present paper proposes to develop e- dictionary for learning and enhancing the vocabularies with the annotated collected corpus from the Tamil poetry.

Abstract Crip poetry is one of the major areas of disability writing, and Jim Ferris as a disability writer, challenges established ideas about embodiment, space and community through a focus on his own personal experiences. Poetry creates meaning in space through spatial imaginaries. Ferris's poetry deals with embodied subjectivity from the perspective of spatiality. Through his poems, Ferris explores the experiences of people with disability, disability as a medical process of defining bodies, and the social perception of disability. He is of the opinion that space and identity are vital to everyone's lives, and it is not others who determine the role of disabled persons. Instead, disability is an individual experience, and basically disabled persons are human beings with emotions. Ferris uses poetry as a powerful medium to express his disability experience. He strongly negates the assertion that people with disability are decentered subjects.

Values play a very significant role in students' life. Students are considered as the backbone of any nation. Hence, values are necessary for them in developing positive and desirable character that tends to embrace essential human qualities. One of the major emerging issues of the 21st century is the degradation of values among students. Several potent factors are responsible for erosion of values among them that hampers their overall progress abruptly. Therefore, it is imperative to study the importance of spiritual, moral, and ethical values for the students in order to understand their role in guiding their behavior and establishing a fair, healthy, and conducive atmosphere in the society. Moreover, these values help to bring enough consciousness as well as positivity among students and help to prepare them to be an efficient citizen for the welfare of the nation. Thus, the present paper aims to explore the concept of spiritual, moral, and ethical values, their importance for the students of 21st century, causes of value degradation and necessary suggestive measures for effective value inculcation among students.

Advancements in dermatology and cosmetics emphasize the significance of skin rejuvenationand regeneration. Hydrogels have emerged as a favorable platform for delivering active agents due to their biocompatibility, hydration potential, and controlled release characteristics. This study focused on creating and evaluating a hydrogel containing allantoin, intended to facilitate skin revitalization and renewal. The hydrogel formulation was meticulously crafted by combining natural and synthetic polymers, optimized to achieve desired viscosity, gel strength, and allantoin-loading capacity. Allantoin, recognized for its skin-calming, hydrating, and regenerative attributes, was successfully integrated into the hydrogel matrix. Comprehensive characterization of the hydrogel encompassed assessments of physicochemical attributes such as pH, rheological performance, drug release kinetics, and mechanical properties. In vitro release profiles exhibited a sustained and controlled release of allantoin from the hydrogel spanning hours, indicating its potential for prolonged topical application. Rheological analysis unveilled the hydrogel's shear-thinning behavior, a property that augments its ease of application. Mechanical testing ascertained the hydrogel's mechanical robustness, establishing its suitability for skin contact. Biocompatibility and cytotoxicity evaluations employing human skin fibroblast cells corroborated the hydrogel's cell-friendly nature and its potential to encourage cellular proliferation. These results imply that the allantoin-infused hydrogel holds promise for stimulating skin regeneration. Furthermore, the hydrogel's efficacy in retaining skin moisture was validated through tests on a skin-equivalent model. In summary, the allantoin-loaded hydrogel formulation boasts favorable physicochemical attributes, sustained release kinetics, and biocompatibility. This positions it as a viable contender for fostering skin revitalization and renewal. Further validation through in vivo studies is imperative to establish its clinical efficacy and safety. The hydrogel formulation presents a pioneering approach to addressing diverse skin-related concerns and advancing dermatological and skincare treatments.
