Abstract For teachers all throughout the world, educating students through ICT efforts during the Pandemic was in fact a difficult challenge. Numerous national, state, and international ICT-driven initiatives have been implemented in the nation. The education sector has taken a proactive stance to make the best use of technology to reach every learner. The current study aims to determine the extent to which teachers use ICT tools in online classes during pandemics, identify the problems and difficulties they confront, and examine their attitudes about these technologies. The information was gathered from 8 Higher Secondary Schools in Mokokchung Town using a self-structured questionnaire. The study found that limited network connections, technical support, and a lack of necessary infrastructure for the intricate operation of ICT-enabled learning tools are the main concerns and obstacles from the viewpoints of teachers when transitioning from traditional teaching to virtual teaching. It was discovered that due to a lack of technological knowledge, teachers commonly fail to use effectively ICT tools during online classes. By counting frequencies, the information acquired with the aid of the questionnaire was tallied.

BACKGROUND: Voluntary counseling and testing is a vital element of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) prevention and care strategies worldwide. It is a test carried out to determine the HIV status of a person. HIV screening enables early detection and initiation of treatment which improves the quality, and life expectancy of a HIV positive individual. Adolescents are among the vulnerable groups with an increased risk of exposure to HIV/AIDS and need to embrace HIV/AIDS testing and counseling. OBJECTIVE: To assess the knowledge on HIV screening amongst adolescents in Girls' Secondary School Abayi with a view to enlighten them on the importance of HIV screening. MATERIALS AND METHODS: It was a descriptive cross-sectional study and semi-structured questionnaire was used for data collection. Students within the ages of 10-19 years were selected by systematic sampling methods and 424 students were presented using tables. Association was tested at p-value of 0.05%. RESULTS: There was a non-response rate of 20 (4.7%). Two-hundred and thirty-four (57.9%) of the students had good knowledge of HIV/AIDS screening and 282 (69.8%) knew that HIV screening is a test to determine individual HIV status. Uptake of HIV screening was 57(14.1%) and 178 (44.1%) students believed that the reason for poor HIV screening was lack of proper awareness. Benefits of HIV screening included helping to start early treatment as accepted by 191 (47.3%) students and 332 (82.2%) respondents agreed that the test provided opportunity for proper advice on knowledge of HIV. Association of sex and class of the respondents and knowledge HCT were statistically significant at p-values of 0.008 and .006 respectively CONCLUSION: There was a good knowledge of HIV screening among the students. The major reason for poor screening uptake were lack of awareness on HIV screening and inadequate provision of screening opportunities. HIV screening awareness was recommended

In education psychology, classroom instructional techniques or teaching strategies are the most important factors that impacts on the learners' academic achievement in now a days. To make a meaningful learning experiences throughout the classroom sessions it is very much essential to improve teaching-learning process continuously. In 1968 David Paul Ausubel had proposed the meaningful verbal learning theory that supports the teaching-learning processes very effectively. In case of meaningful concept formation in science learning, concept mapping teaching strategy, an example of democratic teaching strategy plays a significant role rather than the demonstration teaching strategy, an example of autocratic teaching strategy. Hence, the objective of this present study was to investigate that how far the teaching strategies have some significant effect on the learners' academic achievement in case of physical science learning in the daily classroom sessions. Randomized Solomon four equivalent groups design was applied by the researcher. Total sample of the study was 152. Two Bengali medium co-ed schools at Pingla block of Kharagpur Subdivision of Paschim Medinipur district in West Bengal were selected purposively as target sample for this study. Then all the class IX level students of these two schools were selected as accessible sample in this study. Bengali version of the tool of "Mixed type group test of intelligence (MGTI)" (originally developed in English version by Dr. P.N. Mehrotra, 2008), which is modified by the researcher, was administered here for preparing the matched group i.e., experimental group (taught through concept mapping teaching strategy) and controlled group (taught through demonstration teaching strategy). A self-made achievement test tool which is based on the selected class IX physical science unit of W.B.B.S.E. was used here for data collection. All the collected data were analyzed by the help of descriptive statistics, inferential statistics like "t" test, ANOVA etc. Excel and SPSS software techniques were used here. It is shown in the result that there was a significant deference present in gain score (p<0.05) of learners' academic achievement in physical science of class IX level students of Experimental (E) and Control group (C1) taught through concept mapping teaching strategy and demonstration teaching strategy respectively.

This study investigated the effects of drama and theatre as a teaching strategy on the achievement of students in English language in Govt. School, Davangere City. One research question guided the study. 100 students were used as subjects for the study from three different schools. The students in each school were divided into two groups experimental group and control group. Both groups were taught a topic together using literature method. They were then subjected to a pre-test. In the next two lessons, Experimental group was taught a topic through the drama and theatre method, while Control group remained in the classroom and was taught the same topic using a traditional method. A uniform post-test was administered to both group on Interest for learning. The result of the pre-test was compared with that of the post-test. The comparison formed the basis for the analysis, decision and conclusion in this work. The findings revealed that the group that was taught with the drama and theatre method learning interest was better than those taught using the traditional method. Based on this finding, the paper recommends, among others, that all would-be-teachers should be trained in the skills of using drama and theatre as a teaching method.

The Socio-economic status of the workers of Sugar Cane units has been analyzed. It is understood that maximum number of workers belong to weaker section, and the majority of them are illiterate. The maximum number of workers does not have sanitation facilities in their houses. It is also noted that the wages paid to them are comparatively low and their total expenditure is more than their earnings. In order to make good the deficit, majority of the workers borrow money from others.

Multi-person pose estimation under real-world conditions is a complex task. Despite the commendable performance of advanced human detectors, minor inaccuracies in localization and recognition are bound to occur. Such inaccuracies can lead to setbacks in multi-person pose estimation, particularly for approaches heavily reliant on human detection outcomes. This paper explores multi-person pose estimation using the MoveNet model in computer vision, efficiently predicting human body keypoints in images and videos. It comprehensively elaborates the model's architecture, data preprocessing, and keypoint interpretation, demonstrated through code snippets. Empirical evaluation involves diverse datasets and metrics for accuracy and efficiency. Results emphasize the model's effectiveness, especially in complex scenes. The paper also offers insights into multi-person pose estimation, guiding model selection, preprocessing, and evaluation. It aims to promote MoveNet-based solutions across applications, bridging research and practical implementation for impactful real-world deployment.

Introduction: Childhood-onset schizophrenia (COS) is a rare illness with an incidence less than 0.4%, that is poorly understood but seems continuous with the adult-onset disorder. The disease usually continues to progress in adolescence and adulthood. It can be diagnosed with the same criteria that are used for adults. Aim: To present a case of 12 years old female child who presented with symptoms of schizophrenia. Results: Patient showed significant improvement (improvement in auditory hallucinations, self-absorbed behaviour, delusion of reference) following which she was discharged from the hospital. Conclusion: Schizophrenia is a devastating illness, particularly when presenting in childhood or adolescence. Once a diagnosis is confirmed, aggressive medication treatment combined with family education and individual counselling may prevent further deterioration.
