 Abstract

ABSTRACT Population is an asset of a country's economic development which is growing rapidly. The earth is increasing population by 90 million per year and get we till we have 5.9 billion people left to feed and to give shelter (Mitchel-1998). Along with the increase in the population, there are also more people on the earth who are living longer lives. The global population boom has coincided with the improvement of health, and of agro-productivity, around the world. On average, the population today lives longer, eats bitter, produces more and consumes more than of any other time period in past (Ederstadt -1995). Agriculture feeds people, but will it be able to feed the expanding global population, especially with its exponential increase. The study area,East Champaran covers an area of 3968.1sq.km with 4.2% area and population of 50,82,868 with 4.90%(2011) of Bihar respectively. The district is predominantly stretched along the Gandak basin which provides an ideal agricultural ground for better agro-produce and livelihood to the larger population by using agro-biotechnology. Minimizing agricultural areas though intensification would seem like a great idea for pressurising more land. Technology has been viable part of higher productivity on Agriculture. Innovations and implementation of agro-tools genetically modified seeds, modern agro-techniques make mechanised farming for raising yields sustainably. But modern technology is the key to ensuring sustainable agriculture for increasing population. Unfortunately, yields have been decreasing while population continues to grow. Along with, rapid population growth, there is a increasing demand for a more calorie filled diet specially with the unprecedented rise in affluence in the district. Hence the study is completely based on analytical methodas as well as collection of primary and secondary data which explains the impact of population growth over agricultural development of local produce in the study area. The data based information has been collected through the field survey under the study area which replete with appropriate statistical and cartographical method coupled with maps, diagrams, and tables which aptly justify the methodology. This, it can be said that the population growth over agro-development is perfectly visible on the socio-economic life of the people and opened a new vistas for future generation. Undoughtedly, the rapid population growth affects the acceleration and upliftment of agro-development.

 Abstract

Abstract India is that the largest democratic country within the world, with a population size of 125 crores. The Indian women, however, face innumerable problems reception and in society since their childhood. The most common and unfortunate trait of Indian society is that the women need only basic levels of education and awareness in order that they teach their children after their marriage. The girls in India are encouraged to learn dance, music, child education and an art of cooking at home. The hidden talents of the Indian women are buried under the disguise of House Wife. The present study explores the factors which inhibit the growth and the prospects of women in India. It urges the strong need of the constitutional amendments which facilitate the expansion of the ladies within the areas of education, sports, industry, science and technology. A conceptual model is developed to spice up the Indian economy through the ladies empowerment. The statistical methods used in the study include Percentages and Mean and Weighted Averages.

 Abstract

The Communicate Bond Belong (CBB) theory states that much everyday talk occurs in episodes. CBB theory specifies qualifying criteria for an episode. Frequently undertaking communication episodes is seen as realizing relational satisfaction. Social curiosity is a type of episode. The first paper in the series investigated self-disclosure as a communication episode. (Surana, 2020A) In this second of the three papers comprising the study, I report findings for the extent to which everyday talk occurs in episodes (Surana, 2020A) and then investigate the extent to which social curiosity is an episode of social interaction. The study is conducted using mixed methods; data collection adopts diary record as the tool; and, data analysis is based on frequencies and interpretation. (Surana, 2020A)

 Abstract

Todays business is characterized by dynamism in business environments (Internal and External) which are expected to lead to increased competition among the stakeholders. Business managers are expected to plan more efficient and effective to achieve set objectives. The objective of this paper is to contribute to the existing research in the field of strategic by determining the nexus between strategic management and firm performance using five (5) selected manufacturing companies in Lagos Nigeria. Data were collected using questionnaire design in simple English Language and analyzed using simple percentage and non parametric statistical tool of Chi-square (?2). It was discovered that companies set up their own strategic management process among the top echelon of each of the companies used as a case study. It is therefore recommended that companies whether small, medium or large-scale company should set fund aside for research and development, in other to fine tune required strategic plans and incorporate strategic management in business studies in business schools to serve as a research institute and incubation center for business strategy.

 Abstract

In this paper, the authors extend the theory of the generalized difference operator ?l to the Generalized difference operator of the second kind L = {l1, l2} for the positive reals l1, l2 and obtain some interesting results on second kind . Also by defining its inverse, we establish a few formulae for the sum of third partial sums of products of several powers of the arithmetic progressions in number theory. Appropriate examples are provided to illustrate the results.

 Abstract

Automated and smart meters are devices that are able to monitor the energy consumption of electricity consumers in real-time. They are considered key technological enablers of the smart grid, as the real-time consumption data that they can collect and enable new sophisticated billing schemes. It could facilitate more efficient power distribution system operation and could give rise to a variety of value-added services. At the same time, the energy consumption data that the meters collect are sensitive consumer information. Thus privacy is a key concern and is a major inhibitor of real-time data collection in practice. In this article, we review the different uses of metering data in the smart grid and the related privacy legislation. This system will alert the user through the user regarding the payment. If the user doesnt pay the bill, the system will automatically trip the system.

 Abstract

There has been a wide gap between the rural and urban areas in terms of opportunities, facilities, and services. In case of telecommunication, rural areas are not considered viable for the telecom business. The recent growth in the tele-density, mobile connectivity and internet provision in urban areas has widened the digital gap between rural and urban areas, therefore, in order to uplift the rural areas digitally, they need to be provided with mobile telephony and wireless broadband access, by connecting remote areas to the broadband core networks and by choosing efficient, cost-effective and fast-deployment technologies, wired or wireless networks. This will help in the improvement of internet accessibility. Due to the ongoing pandemic (Covid-19) the world is facing major changes in every sphere of life. Specifically, in case of India, the socio-economic conditions are getting worse day by day. Many of the economic sectors which are dependent on database, continue to try to keep them afloat through Work from Home, which has led to increased dependence on the internet. Internet has become a very crucial part of everybodys life currently but there are people who lack these digital facilities and are finding it increasingly difficult to cope with the need of the circumstances. Currently, people living in rural areas are the ones who are facing major difficulties due to lack of internet. An initiative had been taken by the government and various private firms, for providing internet to the rural areas in order to uplift the rural societies of our country but due to the pandemic the work in progress slowed down as the country experienced phases of lockdown. The research is influenced by a firm, called M2M CYBERNECTICS PRIVATE LIMITED where I interned under the supply chain management and finance department. The company is an IT based start-up which provides solution for Power, Telecom, and ICT sector. One of the major roles of the company is to provide internet connection and solar systems to the rural areas. This study will be examining the major trends and changes in the supply chain management of the firms which deal with the telecom sector, and will be comparing them to the pre-pandemic situation. The research will be based on the data provided by different companies, and will majorly determine the pre and post Covid-19 trends of internet accessibility provided by ICT firms in rural areas.

 Abstract

Work life balance is used to describe the balance between an individuals personal life and professional life. A healthy work-life balance assumes great significance for working women particularly in the current context in which both, the family and the workplace have posed several challenges and problems for women employees. The dynamics of the work environment have exerted enormous pressure on working women as they need to cope with virtually two full time jobs one at the office and the other at home. Work-life balance has become a subject of concern for both research scholars and business leaders in view of the contemporary demographic, technological, market, and organisational changes associated with it. However, there has been little academic attempt to provide a holistic picture of work-life balance benefits and programmes (WLBPs) offered by various organizations in India. With the basis of extant literature, primary and secondary data, the present paper has made an effort to understand the current status of WLBPs in Indian organizations and to identify its future prospects. The paper has discussed the challenges for effective implementation of such policies, which can help HR managers to be cautious before introducing WLBPs in their respective organizations. Analysis of literature and available data suggests that family-friendliness of employers in India have been reflected in various welfare provisions which has been a matter of concern for employers since industrialization. Moreover, the range of WLBPs varies across organizations and there is still a long way to go when WLBPs will become strategic HR initiatives in most organizations.

 Abstract

BuddChiari syndrome (BCS) encompasses a varied group of disorders with common pathology characterized by hepatic venous outflow obstruction which can occur anywhere at the level of the hepatic venules, the large hepatic veins, the inferior vena cava and the right atrium. The term hepatic venous outflow tract obstruction is usually applied irrespective of the level f obstruction or the mechanism of obstruction. With the advances in the speciality of radio diagnosis the diagnosis of budd chiari syndrome is easily made. However because of its varied unusual presentations, sometimes it poses a diagnostic challenge for the treating physician. We present a case report of a woman who presented with trivial symptoms and pancytopenia which on further evaluation later turned out to be having chronic budd chiari syndrome. CASE PRESENTATION: A 42-year-old female presented to our OPD with history of loose stools and easy fatigability for the last 10 days. On evaluation she had mild ascites and pancytopenia. Her liver function tests were within normal range. She had low serum vitamin B12 and iron deficiency anemia. Her USG hepatobiliary system revealed mild ascites. Computed tomography of her abdomen showed non opacified hepatic veins with marked luminal narrowing of suprahepatic veins with prominent azygous and hemiazygous veins with caudate lobe hypertrophy. Further upper gastrointestinal endoscopy revealed presence of varices which were managed with EVL bands. She was diagnosed as a case of chronic budd chiari syndrome. On thorough history taking it there was history of recurrent abortions for which no prior work up was done. Further investigation revealed deficiency of S, raised homocysteine levels with normal JAK2 mutation and APLA workup. She was then started on anticoagulation and invasive procedures were deferred (stent v TIPS) in view of good network of intrahepatic collaterals. DISCUSSION: Budd chiari syndrome have varied presentations ranging from asymptomatic condition detected incidentally (as in our case) to fulminant BCS classical triad of abdominal pain, hepatomegaly, ascites and jaundice. Previously it was the membranous occlusion of IVC that happened to be the main mechanism. However now it is seen that the isolated hepatic vein occlusion is more commonly seen in our country. Also hypercoagulable state being the etiological factor is now more commonly seen than the membranous occlusion of IVC. Both these facts are confirmed by the findings in our case. CONCLUSION: since budd chiari syndrome may present as asymptomatic condition, higher degree of suspicion should be kept if any of the signs of liver failure are note on clinical examination. Similarly a thorough and meticulous history is warranted so as to rule out the genetic and acquired causes.
