Many cities in the world are facing acute challenges concerning growing dangers to the environment and ensuring quality of life for their inhabitants. In connection with cities achieving their individual goals of sustainable development, urban transport sustainability indicator frameworks are becoming the subjects of attention. Measuring progress towards sustainable or unsustainable urban development requires quantification with the help of suitable sustainability indicators. In this article the Performance of Sustainable Urban indicators were analyzed in the Thrissur city. Further the impact of existing land use in framing the transportation character along various nodes were also analyzed to find the relation between these land use and transportation character

The primary goal of this study is to investigate the Parbhani district's planting, production, and yield patterns for a particular crop. The research paper's foundations are secondary data, and pertinent statistical data were gathered from a variety of government sources. When it comes to food grains, wheat and jawar crops took up the most space. A total of 3.54 percent of the gross cultivated land was brought under non-food grain crops, according to the position of all oil seed crops. Jawar produced the most overall cereals, followed by maize, according to the production pattern in the study. Groundnut yields in the Parbhani region were 1639.66 kg, 1281 kg, 1181.67 kg, and 1065.33 kg for jawar, according to the study area. The District Per Hector ranking of food grain crops shows maize in first place, followed by wheat. It was also noted that during the investigation, wheat, Bajara, Jawar, and rice all showed negative changes. However, all of the crops in the district have demonstrated a good change. Crops grown for food grains saw a rise in yield of 17.13, with a 17.73 percent increase in crop output for cereals.

This experimental study shows how the strength of concrete changes when sand is replaced by crushed sand (CS) and quarry dust (QD) in 10% increments from 0% to 30%. M25 grades of concrete were studied with a constant slump of 60mm. The compressive strength of concrete cubes at the age of 7 and 28 days were obtained at room temperature. Also the temperature effect on concrete cubes at 100 degree C on 28th day of casting was carried out to check the loss of strength. From test results it was found that the maximum compressive strength is obtained only at 30% replacement at room temperature and net strength after loss due to hike in temperature was above the recommended strength value due to 30% replacement itself. This study clearly shows that quarry dust can be used in concrete mixtures as a good alternative for natural river sand, providing greater strength at 30% replacement. In an experimental research of the strength characteristics of concrete utilising crushed stone dust as fine aggregate, it was discovered that the compressive strength, flexural strength, and tensile strength of concrete increased. The current study demonstrates that the properties of mortars and concrete including crushed stone dust as fine aggregate are better to those of natural river sand as fine aggregate. The findings apply to the most often used grading zone - II sand. Crushed stone dust created from hard rock that falls within the grading Zone II sand, grading restrictions given by IS 383 code, is appropriate as fine aggregate in building mortars. Additionally, the IS-2116 and IS 383 regulations allow for the use of crushed stone fine aggregate in masonry mortars. This research discusses the effect of stone dust content in sand on mortar characteristics.

Due to the many benefits that come along with using photovoltaic (PV) systems, they are now in the driver's seat when it comes to using solar power as a renewable energy source (RES). This trend is becoming more prevalent, particularly in grid-connected applications, as a direct result of the many advantages brought about by the use of RES inside distributed generation (DG) systems. This new scenario makes it necessary to have an efficient tool for evaluating photovoltaic (PV) systems that are connected to the grid. This thesis focuses on addressing load fluctuation challenges in residential environments by developing an optimization framework for scheduling elastic residential appliances and integrating solar PV systems. The objective is to flatten the load profile and enable effective demand response implementation in smart grid systems. The proposed methodology utilizes the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm to optimize the scheduling of appliances and the utilization of solar PV energy. The thesis provides an introduction to the problem, outlines the methodology, presents the obtained results, and evaluates the effectiveness of the scheduling approach in load curve flattening.
