 Abstract

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) or Living Modified Organism (LMOs) is an organism in which hereditary material has been manipulated by the means of bioengineering technology. Bioengineering or genetic engineering technology is a technique of modern biotechnology. By using this technology, we can create or design any kind of novel organisms. Human Insulin, Human Growth Hormones, Bt Cotton, Bt Brinjal, Golden Rice, Transgenic Mouse, Transgenic Mosquito are some example of GMOs or LMOs. GMOs and products thereof are more useful in modern society. But many unpredicted risks and concerns are associated with GMOs and products thereof. In India, all activities related to GMOs are regulated by Biosafety Rules, 1989. Without prior approval of the GEAC, GMOs and products thereof can not be utilised by any persons. This research article discusses the in depth legal analysis of the biosafety laws on genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in India.

 Abstract

Since the onset of COVID-19 pandemic, the world has seen a huge number of patients infected with n-SARS-CoV-2. Apart from the severely critical and fatal cases, some patients have reported symptoms even after treatment of COVID-19 and have been labelled Post-COVID Syndrome. Though many symptoms have been included in the definition of Post-COVID Syndrome, Hypertension has not. This article explores the prevalence, cause and probable line of management of Hypertension in Post COVID patients. While many systems of the body act together to maintain the normal Blood Pressure (BP), one of the most important systems is the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System (RAAS). Apart from BP, the importance of RAAS has increased manifold since the advent of COVID-19 since the n-SARS-CoV-2 enters the human body through the ACE2 receptor, a receptor of RAAS. Our study shows 39.4% of known Hypertensive patients had an increase in BP after COVID-19 infection while 15.2% patients with no prior comorbidities showed Hypertensive surges after the acute phase of the infection. Moreover, it was seen that patients who had been taking any RAAS inhibitor (ACE inhibitors or ARBs) are less likely to have spikes in BP after the COVID-19 infection. The cause behind this may be attributed to the fact that n-SARS-CoV-2 reduces ACE2 expression, thus increasing the action of Angiotensin II on AT1R, which is responsible for increased BP.

 Abstract

An individual (data owner) sharing his genetic information (or genomic information findings) with a scientist is considered as a situation in this study (service provider). In this case, (I) the professional organization must ensure that the obtained genetic information (or findings) is truthfully associated with the related individual (and processed effectively) ii) Along with his information, the individual must provide an advanced assent indicating whether the service provider is permitted to access and view the genomic information, and (iii) if his information is attempted to be viewed without his assent, the individual must determine which specialist organization is responsible. As a result, two approaches based on AES encryption and one-time password procedures are developed, which tie data about the validity of information to permission and the phenotype of the person. As a result, in order to verify the data, each gathering must also rely on the right consent and phenotype of the person claiming the data.

 Abstract

Today we are going through a period of lock-down which the people of India have never seen before, for such a long time. In such a situation, in the era of this technology and the Internet, anyone likes to spend their free time in front of the digital screen, where they have many options to see. The ever-increasing viewership of the OTT video streaming services and the big star's inclination towards this platform justifies this. Today, the time we spent looking at our screens has increased immensely. As the cinema halls shut and film release has been suspended amid nationwide, this technological shift by internet has created a new kind of viewing experience and that might end up changing the collective movie watching experience in cinema hall which result in dent in the footfall whenever the screens open again. This change in viewing experience created by OTT has a greatest fear for cinema hall owners. This thesis explore tries to analyse the impact of increasing OTT video streaming services viewership in lockdown to assess the future of collective watching experience in India. It frames the attitude of Indian people towards cinema hall through assessing different vantage points that mark shift in watching experience. At the end it gives the, recommendation contextualized the immensely increasing OTT viewership during lock down and its resultant effects on the collective watching experience.

 Abstract

Submerged Arc Welding is an advance arc Welding Process become a most Popular Choice when a high level of Weld Quality or Considerable Precision Welding is required. However, the major Problems of Submerged Arc Welding Process are its slow welding Speed and limited to lower thickness material in Single Pass. In this Work, Submerged Arc Welding has been performed on 12mm SAE 1062 with using various types of Agglomerated fluxes. Wide range of Welding Speed, Voltage, and Current has been tested for obtained a full Penetration Welding. Agglomerated fluxes has also been used to improve the weld depth. After Performing Welding by maintaining different gap between the Plates to be welded, weld bead geometry and tensile Strength of the weld has been investigated. It is observed that, by maintaining an appropriate gap full Penetration welding of Plate is Possible which gives strength almost Similar to base material.

 Abstract

In commercial and industrial application quite a few electric motors are required, which can be geographically dispersed, and it is often desired to control some or all the motors from central location. The apparatus designed for this function is called as Motor Control Centre (MCC). Traditional MCC only provides start and stop operations of the motors as it contains starters, and fuses and protective relays to provide preventive action by tripping in case of motor fault. Adding intelligence to this traditional MCC will provide the preventive maintenance as the fault will be identified and distinguished prior to its occurrence. Thus necessary action can be taken to avoid the unnecessary unplanned downtime.

 Abstract

Indiscriminate use of chemical fertilisers is causing mutilation to environment and human health. To mitigate the negative effects of chemical manure and maintain the soil sustainability, microbial inoculants, FYM and vermicompost can be used. This study aims to compare the efficacy of vermicompost, farmyard manure and bioinoculants on growth parameters, namely, branch length, branch number, leaf number, fresh weight and dry weight, and antioxidant potentials of Alpinia speciosa. The manural potential of three manures: vermicompost, farmyard Manure (FYM) and bioinoculants was evaluated at different intervals of time. Growth parameters, antioxidants and enzyme antioxidant activity rates were significantly higher in FYM and vermicompost treated plants compared with other treatments and control.

 Abstract

Plastic waste in Municipals Solid Waste is increasing due to increase in population, rapid development of country and change in lifestyle of people. As plastic is non-biodegradable so it do not decompose at all, it could take up to 450 years to break down. Plastic disposal is major issue which world facing now a days. Plastic pollution can afflict land, waterways and oceans.
