Ayurveda the science of life is a holistic system of medicine from India. All types of plant raw material having all panchmahabhuta. To prepare standard quality of medicines, it is incumbent to collect raw material very carefully. In ancient period, Seers used to collect raw material properly and carefully from different Desha such as Vindhya Desha (Ushna virya Aushadha) , Himalaya Desha (Sheet Virya Aushadha), Ritu (In sharad-panchang), Bhoomi(apya, agneya etc.), Nakshatra (pusya and ashwina), and kala. They prepared effective single or polyherbal medicines for various disorders successfully by following all parameters mentioned above. At the present time, collection of raw material is not properly done as well as manufacture unit do not care about desha, kala, ritu, bhoomi, awastha etc. In this review, it is tried to elaborate the methods to collect the plant raw material that could improve its quality to produce effective herbal medicines.

Apparels are the basic essentials of human just like food and shelter. The textile industry of India is the second largest industry. Apparels have become a symbol of great personality and it is gaining a lot of customers attention. In todays competitive market a thorough understanding of consumers needs and wants helps in acquiring a successful place in the market. The purpose of this study is to understand the consumer buying behavior towards branded apparels and to understand the factors affecting the purchase decision. The study is based on the consumers of Nainital District as branded apparels and there retail outlets are a new concept in this district and we have also tried to analyze the awareness of the consumers regarding the available brands. For the research we have chosen only multinational branded apparels. A questionnaire was prepared to conduct the survey and collect the primary data. It was found in the study that the consumers of Nainital District are fairly aware about the multinational brands. The most prominent source of information was friends and family. Consumers have their specific motive and attitude backing their purchase. It was revealed that quality, designs, uniqueness, convenience, brand image were some prominent factors affecting the purchase whereas factors like status symbol and advertisement were found to be irrelevant .

Nicotine is found in tobacco plant, Nicotiana tabacum L. This plant comes from the nightshade family with red peppers, eggplant, tomatoes and potatoes being the other members. In this study, Nicotine was extracted from tobacco leaf using three laboratory methods- Filtration, Solvent extraction and Crystallization. The percentage yield determined after the whole extraction method was 2.47 %. This percentage yield validates the reports from literature that the amount of nicotine in tobacco leaf is between 0.3% - 5%. More so, the very small nicotine investigated depicts a significant loss of product throughout the procedure which is due to formation of emulsions and not due to washing thoroughly with ether to extract maximum yield and the multiple repetition of the filtration process. For the purposes of identification and verification of the nicotine, other physical properties were determined, such as Molecular Weight (162.23 g/mol), Melting Point (-79 oC), Boiling Point (247 oC), Density (1.01 gcm-3) and Refractive Index (1.53). Also, the Optical Rotation [á]D of nicotine (-168.5o) at the temperature of 293.15 K was determined.

SARS-CoV-2 induced COVID-19 is continued to spread. In this present situation, where the virus has spread rapidly all over the world, and a meaningful treatment or vaccine is yet to be available, the biggest challenge arises on how to combat its spread. Human infection by SARS-CoV-2 results extremely heterogenous symptoms, ranging from asymptomatic or mild cases to severe hypoxia and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) depending upon host immune status. However, the exact mechanism of occurrence of an asymptomatic carrier of COVID-19 is not clearly understood. The major and yet to be resolved question is however, the role of asymptomatic carrier in spreading the disease. Herein, we summarize our current understanding on the possible clinical significance of asymptomatic COVID-19 infection. Particularly, the evolutionary significance, host antiviral response to SARS-CoV-2 infection and possible outcome in terms of asymptomatic carrier are briefly discussed. The resulting asymptomatic carrier may be the outcome of an efficient host antiviral defense, that effectively limits but could not block SARS-CoV-2 replication, and asymptomatic shedding might occur.

Manuscript means the hand written documents. These are the treasures of Indian heritage. Before the invention of printing technology, the literary works were manually prepared. The manuscripts are the object of high esteem. The other name of manuscripts is Puthi in Assamese language. The Assamese society worships it in place of any idol in the community prayer hall called N?mghar. Therefore, these manuscripts are preserved in places like Satras (Assamese institutional centers associated with the tradition of Vaishnavism), temples, museums, library etc. This paper is an attempt to highlight the writing process of ancient manuscripts in Assam.

BACKGROUND: The traditional way of classification of ascites by AFTP offers little insight to the pathophysiology of ascites formation and it has further drawbacks. In order to overcome it the classification of ascites based on SAAG has emerged. Even SAAG also has some draw backs like non correlation with ascites due to non alcoholic cirrhosis and difficulty in identifying the ascites due to mixed etiology. So the study is conducted to compare the diagnostic accuracies of SAAG and AFTP in identifying the pathophysiology of ascites as both the method has drawbacks. METHODS: A total of hundred patients who were admitted with Ascites were included and ascitic fluid total protein and SAAG was calculated. They are classified on the basis of SAAG into High SAAG and low SAAG and on the basis of AFTP into Transudate and Exudate. After the etiology of ascites evaluated by various diagnostic procedures the sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy of SAAG and AFTP in identifying the pathophysiology of ascites calculated separately. The diagnostic accuracies of SAAG and AFTP compared statistically. RESULTS: The sensitivity of SAAG was found to be 87.01% and that of AFTP was found to be 63.63%. The specificity of SAAG was found to be 82.60% and that of AFTP was found to be 56.41%. The diagnostic accuracy of SAAG was found to be 86% and that of AFTP was found to be 58%. The diagnostic accuracy of SAAG and AFTP for individual aetiologies of ascites were found and compared. SAAG was found to be superior to AFTP with a P value of <0.01. Which is statistically significant. CONCLUSION: The sensitivity and specificity of SAAG and AFTP in identifying the pathophysiology of ascites in various hepatic and non-hepatic causes were studied and it was found that SAAG was superior to AFTP. The diagnostic accuracy of SAAG and AFTP was studied for individual etiologies of ascites and SAAG was found to be superior to AFTP and it was proved statistically significant.

Internet of things is a defined as the system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction. Traditional fields of embedded systems, wireless sensor networks, control systems, automation, and others all contribute to enabling the Internet of things. In the consumer market, IOT technology is most synonymous with products pertaining to the concept of the "smart home", including devices and appliances (such as lighting fixtures, thermostats, home security systems and cameras, and other home appliances) that support one or more common ecosystems, and can be controlled via devices associated with that ecosystem, such as smart phones and smart speakers. Important hardware development platforms are particle io, Espressif ESP8266 Boards, Intel IOT Development Boards, Adafruit Range of Development boards, Arduino IOT Product Line, The Raspberry Pi. Some application on Internet Of Things are connected cars, tracking and monitoring of properties, smart barcode recorders, connected health care systems, smart farming.
