 Abstract

In this thesis during the analysis of various fins configurations using ANSYS WORKBENCH be can compare the The heat transfer rate from the fins, outer wall and the overall heat transfer rate has been calculated and compared for various fin configurations. Also the surface nusselt number and surface overall heat transfer co-efficient has been found out. Temperature contours for various fin configuration has been plotted showing the convection loops formed around the heated pipe surface. Velocity contours for various fin configurations has been plotted and the motion of heated fluid is shown. The assumptions during the analysis have been taken considering the manufacturing and practical applications and working conditions. Hence the results obtained can be referred to while solving any such kind of problems in the practical field where only natural convection is under consideration. After comparing it is shown that we can find that the best configuration for this type of convective heat transfer of a heated pipe is a TRAPEZOIDAL fin as they have the highest total heat transfer rate . All the main parameters which can significantly influence the heat transfer performance of finned tube has been analyzed. Natural convection in a vertical tube without fins was taken as the reference tube and different fin patterns such as a single fin with large no. of turns like coiled shape and large no. of fins with single turn is compared with reference tube on the basis of different parameters such as heat transfer rate, surface nusselt number, heat transfer coefficient, fin effectiveness etc. There are some dimensionless numbers which affect the natural convection such as nusselt number which is the function of Reynolds number, grshof number and prandlt number, Rayleigh number which is the product of grashoff and prandtl number. After getting best fin configuration compared it with different fin profile such as rectangular cross section, tapered fin with trapezoidal cross section and hyperbolic cross section. All the computer simulation has been done on the ANSYS 13.0 .

 Abstract

The global spread of COVID-19 resulted in the suspension of classes for more than 850 million students worldwide, disrupting the original teaching plans of schools in these countries and regions. The purpose of the present study was to assess the satisfaction regarding online classes among children studying in selected high schools of Meerut district during COVID 19 pandemic. The non-experimental exploratory survey method was used for the study, which consists of 55 samples that were selected on the basis of sampling criteria set for the study (non-probability purposive sampling). The content validity was done, which suggested that the tool was valid. Based on the objectives and the assumptions the collected data was analysed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The conclusion drawn from the findings of the study are as follows: Majority of subjects i.e. 49.1% lies in the age group of 16 years and 26 -30 years. 20% of the subjects were in the age of 15 years, 21.81% subjects were of 14 years, 5.45 % were from 13 years and 3.64 were of 12 years age. Based on the Gender maximum samples were males ie. 63.6 % where as 36.4 % was female. 60% of the samples were from class X, 27.3% from class IX and 12.7% were from class VIII. Based on religion maximum samples were Hindus (85.5%), Muslims were 10.9% and Christians were of 3.6 % Maximum samples ie. 50.9% were the residents of Urban area, 38.2% from rural area and 10.9% from semi urban area of residence. Majority of the samples ie. 70.9% was using zoom software for their online classes, 7.3% Microsoft teams and 16.3 % using Google class room/Google Meet. 5.4% were using other softwares or applications. Maximum samples had their internet service providers as Airtel (49.1%), followed by Jio (34.5%), Vodafone- Idea (14.5%) and other service providers 1.9%. Maximum of the samples ie.56.37 % were highly satisfied with the online classes and 40 % are extremely satisfied and 3.63 % were satisfied where as none of the samples were found to be slightly or extremely dissatisfied with the online classes. Conclusion: Maximum Samples were satisfied with online classes.

 Abstract

In developing countries like India, the generation of construction and demolition (C &D) waste is increasing day by day. On the other hand, the reuse of construction waste is highly essential to preserve natural resources. Using the demolished concrete debris as recycled concrete aggregate conserves natural aggregates, reduces the impact on landfills, decreases energy consumption and can provide cost savings. The use of recycled aggregates in concrete results in significant economical and environmental benefits. In the present work, attempts have been made to assess the effect of recycled concrete aggregate on the strength of ordinary concrete. A study has been made on the properties of recycled aggregate which is to be used as coarse aggregate for M25 grade of Concrete. The percentage of recycled aggregate that partially replaced natural aggregate by weight was 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% and 40%. Concrete cubes were casted and tested in laboratories. Properties of aggregate and comparison of recycled aggregate concrete against natural aggregate concrete is performed according to requirements as such for its workability, compressive strength test. The results show that up to 30% replacements of natural aggregate with recycled aggregate there is a slight decrease in strength when compared with conventional concrete. But beyond 30% replacement there is a sudden fall in strength. The goal of this study is to develop the economical and sustainable concrete by using the concrete waste available in the site.

 Abstract

: Anticancer, anticoagulant as well as various activity shows by natural coumarin due to its metabolite derivative (7-hydroxycoumarin). This review article is based upon the various aspects like pharmacological activities along with its pharmacokinetic, different sources of coumarins, biosynthesis pathway, its analysis and characterization of coumarin derivatives etc. Therefore the main target of this article is to study of various derivatives of coumarin along with its pharmacological effect of it. The release of Cyclin D1 ( this is over expressed in different types of cancer) inhibited by 7-hydroxycoumarin has been shown in recent studies that are reported in many articles, this approach gives better idea about its needs in the treatment of various types of cancer. Coumarin derivatives like Esculetin that inhibits the growth and cell cycle by blocking the G1 phase in HL-60 leukemia cell which result into block the phosphorylation of retinoblastoma protein. Flavonoids also show therapeutic action in various types of leukemia treatment and in patient with HIV disorder. Genistein is isoflavone which block the tyrosine kinase enzyme blocker that has inhibitory effects on cell growth of different types of carcinoma cell lines, due to this is the best suitable candidate for cancer treatment. These are two compound having more potent inhibitory effects on cell growth of different cancer as compared to other compound.
