Data mining and machine learning have become a vital part of crime detection and prevention. In this research, we use WEAK, an open source data mining software, to conduct a comparative study between the violent crime patterns from the Communities and Crime Unnormalized Dataset provided by the University of California-Irvine repository and actual crime statistical data for the state of Mississippi that has been provided by neighborhoodscout.com. We implemented the Linear Regression, Additive Regression, and Decision Stump algorithms using the same finite set of features, on the Communities and Crime Datasets.Overall, the linear regression algorithm performed the best among the three selected algorithms. The scope of this project is to prove how effective and accurate the machine learning algorithms used in data mining analysis can be at predicting violent crime patterns.

Recently, within the family of FACTS, the distributed power flow controller is an additional device. This paper highlights on voltage sag mitigation which is one of the burgeoning power quality issues. It deals with the working concept of distributed power flow controller for compensating unbalanced three phase line currents in the transmission system. The single phase series converters of DPFC are able to compensate. The unique control capability of the UPFC is given by the back-to-back connection between the shunt and series converters, which allows the active power to freely exchange. To ensure the DPFC has the same control capability as the UPFC, a method that allows active power exchange between converters with an eliminated DC link is required. An unsymmetrical fault (L-G fault) is considered near the load end side. A proper selection of controlling variables of DPFC relieves the load voltage sag, compensates the unbalance and diminishes the load voltage harmonics in few seconds. Furthermore the performance of DPFC is simulate using Matlab simulink and results denote an improvement in power quality.

Abstract: Effect of Herbicide Euphorbia nerrifolia on the protease activity in the digestive gland of the fresh water snail, Lymnea acuminata. The protease activity was found to be increase at 24 hours and 48 hours of sub-lethal dose of herbicide treatments. In physiological impairment this herbicide seem to be more effective.

Turmeric is a spice that comes from the rhizomes of Curcuma longa, a ginger family member (Zingiberaceae). Rhizomes are horizontal underground stems that produce both roots and shoots. Turmeric gets its vivid yellow colour from curcuminoids, which are fat-soluble polyphenolic pigments. Turmeric has been utilized in India for ages for medicinal purposes in addition to its use as a spice and colour. The goal of this review was to give a quick overview of curcumin's effects. Recent research has validated the use of turmeric for a variety of ailments, particularly those caused by oxidative stress, such as cancer, diabetes, and inflammatory disorders. Curcumin, a spice, has a lot of potential as a medicinal agent. It's also quite low in toxicity. As the worldwide landscape shifts toward the use of non-toxic plant items with traditional medicinal uses, the development of modern turmeric medications for the treatment of a variety of ailments should be prioritized.Turmeric has to be studied more in order to uncover hidden regions and realistic therapeutic uses that can benefit humanity.

Back pain and neck pain are extremely common musculoskeletal problems in communities. Untreated spine problems may lead to long-term disability. Difference in maximum inspiratory and expiratory pressures was reported in patients with chronic neck pain and back pain compared to asymptomatic subjects. 30 patients with chronic mechanical back ache were treated with TENS, hot pack and exercises shows statistical improvement in PEFR and thus in pulmonary functions of patients. The study concludes that physiotherapy intervention is effective on PEFR in patients with chronic mechanical upper back ache. Limitations of the study were small sample size and Unable to take pulmonary function test for specific correlation between musculoskeletal condition and lung function.

The discontent against the Brahmanical system formed the background for the rise and spread of Buddhism in Andhra. The historical mission of Buddhism had been to bring into a synthesis various and divergent systems of religious thought prevalent in the country and to reconcile the mutually hostile elements into a harmonious social life. We will see in this section to what extent the mission of Buddhism was successful in Andhra. The innumerable sites that do Andhradesa from Salihundam in the north to Pedaganjam in the south and from Gooty in the west to Bhattiprolu in the east were the clear proof Buddhism in the Andhra, for about one thousand years (c. 300 B, C.-A. D. 400), Buddhism had a glorious career in Andhra

Spirometry is commonly accepted as the gold standard for the diagnosis of COPD but quality assured spirometry cannot be provided universally around the globe along with lack of availability of spirometers in primary health care due to financial limitations or limited availability of expert technicians or clinicians to perform the procedure. Peak flow meter is portable, hand held, easy to use and low cost device which can also be used to measure airflow limitation. The exercises are help full to improve mucus clearance, reduce work of breathing, increase strength, power and endurance of respiratory muscles. 41 patients with COPD were treated with home based physiotherapy and PEFR was measured as an outcome measure which is statistically significant. Patients with COPD with greater changes in PEFR causes more frequent hospitalization and increased mortality and morbidity due to COPD related complications which can also be reduced as patient can check PEFR level regularly.

Abstract: In Urban adults overweight and obesity are the most significant problems. The consumption of fruits and vegetables is low in Urban areas as compared with Rural areas. High intake of outside foods, junk foods, unhealthy foods, and lesser physical activity is seen in Urban areas which is mostly associated with a sedentary lifestyle. Objective: To study the lifestyle, physical activity, and Dietary pattern among adults in urban and rural areas in Maharashtra. Methodology: A total of 177 participants (Rural- 91; Urban- 86) from Dawargaon, Dongargaon, and mevhna Dist. Jalna (Rural) and Aurangabad, Nashik, and Mumbai (Urban) were selected for the study. The personal interview cum questionnaire method was used to collect the data from Rural and some Urban participants and the google form was used to collect the data from the remaining Urban participants. International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) was used to assess physical activity and 3 days 24 hours dietary recall was used to assess the dietary status. SPSS (version 20) software was used to analyze the data and p-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Statistically significant difference was found in lifestyle, physical activity and dietary patterns in the Rural and Urban participants. All the anthropometric measurements were higher in Urban participants as compared with Rural participants (p=<0.05). Urban participants lived a sedentary lifestyle (60.5%) and Rural participants mostly were heavy workers (65.9%). Almost all the Rural participants (97.8%) work outside the home as they do farm work, because of that their vigorous (Rural- 92.3%: Urban- 32.6%) and moderate (Rural- 86.8%: Urban- 25.6%) physical activity at work was higher than Urban participants (p=<0.05). Frequency of eating seasonal fruits and vegetables and milk and milk products was high in Rural participants as compared with Urban participants (p=<0.05). Outside food consumption (Urban- 93%; Rural- 20.9%) and junk food consumption (Urban- 83.7%; Rural- 31.9) was higher in urban areas (p=<0.05). Conclusion: Rural participants lifestyle, physical activity and dietary patterns were better than Urban participants. However, in the Rural areas, there is a need for good educational infrastructure facilities and in Urban participants, there is a need for more promotion of nutrition information and education about overall physical activity, healthy lifestyle and healthy balanced diet.
