This paper deals with the integration of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Value Engineering (VE) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) planning process. Quality function Deployment enhances the product/service performance on the basis of customers requirements, whereas Value engineering focuses on the reduction of product/service costs without decreasing its quality or performance. The integration of QFD and VE both will lead to the decrease of costs and improvements of product/service or performance. In this paper firstly a conceptual idea of integrating these two techniques is provided and after that its implementation procedures are described in detail. The integration of quality function deployment and value engineering was analyzed in the product planning process. For this aim a conceptual model was developed. The application stages were also clarified. In fact the planned Model was an QFD & V.E integration ,in which the whole QFD process is not completely implemented rather its first two phases ,that is the product projection and product planning are carried and a list of results along with their value is got from the house of quality. The V.E process is not implemented completely either, rather the solutions and their relative values are entered from the second quality house into the second phase of Value engineering .During the design stage, lot of information is gathered and analyzed to back up the decision making process which will lead to the synthesis of products. The objective of the paper is focusing on mainly two things. Firstly, I seek to take the QFD and VE methodology one step further and apply it to propose a stakeholder-based design for the NICU facilities. Secondly, I demonstrate the outcomes of the QFD and VE methodology in the NICU design. I have started with the NICU not only because of its importance but also for its complexity which makes it a challenging quest. I have then implemented the House of Quality (HoQ) methodology in order to obtain an improved design over the existing ones. In doing so, I have made use of some of the most commonly used international standards (IS). This paper intends to give a more balanced review of Quality Function Deployment and Value Engineering that shows enough depth to be valuable to researchers as well as enough scope to provide for the readers.

Briquette making machine is designed to make burnable bio waste into desirable size logs by using appreciable reins as binder. These logs can further be used as fuel. Bio waste involves dry leaves; saw dust, rice husk and even some household waste. Usually, bio wastes are dumped in large landfills where they are decomposed. During the decomposition these waste release many gases like CARBON MONO OXIDE (CO), which are hazardous to the environment and human. But burning them will affect the nature much as they undergo complete combustion releasing CARBON DI OXIDE (CO2), which is less poisonous compared to carbon mono oxide. It is even easy to handle and low cost.

The main objective of this study is to formulate oro dispersible tablets based on solid dispersion of ciprofloxacin. The method used is anti solvent addition method and the green synthesis of solid dispersion is done, thus prepared dosage form is organic solvent free, which is quite safe. Solubility enhancement will be achieved by formulating the drug in the form of solid dispersion and then oro-dispersible tablet provides an added advantage of patient compliance, fast action, increasing bioavailability, reduction in dose and avoiding hepatic metabolism.

The aim of the study was to study the nutritional practices of female football players. The nutritional intake of 24 female football players of Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra was recorded by the players them self for a period of one week. Participants were provided with written and verbal guidelines for the completion of the diaries. During this one week period the training imparted to the players were also recorded. This was used in combination with BMR predictions to calculate daily energy expenditure. Results suggest that energy intake was low (1735 250.4 kcal) in relation to previous recommendations for football players. Energy expenditure (1915.6 410.4 kcal) was not significantly different (p > 0.05) from intake, suggesting energy balance was achieved. Carbohydrate (47.6 5.4%), protein (12.6 1.9%) and fat (22.7 5.4%) intakes were in line with recommendations. Fluid intake (2150 847.7 ml per day) was sufficient to meet baseline recommendations, but would need to be higher to meet the additional requirement of training and competition. With the exception of vitamin A and iron, all micronutrient intakes were higher than the DRI. With the help of this study it is recommended that female football players should increase the intake carbohydrate and take more fluid and ensure sufficient iron rich foods to meet out the required intake volume.

Abstract The study examined the integration and appropriateness of BIS/BAS scales (Carver and White, 1994) in the light of different personality context of Indian working women. A behavioral dimension of motivational theory focuses mainly two types of behavior; behavioral approach system (BAS) is regulated by immediate urge or hedonic motives, in which satisfaction comes when one reach towards goals. A behavioral avoidance (or inhibition) system (BIS) represents the avoidance motives, in which some unpleasant mental position distracts them from actual goal. This, depend up on the individual differences at different levels in the consideration of these systems. The high and low margin of BIS/BAS scale represents the psychology of human behavior in different situation and resulting the dimension of behavioral variability from approach to avoidance. The association between BIS/BAS concept evaluates the two extremes between good and bad. This study would seem to analysis the personality profile and also a variety of association including links with self to a sense of positivity versus negativity. It is also important to examine the characteristics of task and the extent to which stimulates responsive versus potential restrain.

Education in its broadest sense is any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character, or physical ability of an individual and in its technical sense education is the process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, values, and skills from one generation to another through institutions. The major purpose of science education is to increase the flow of specialist scientists, technologists and engineers, it could be argued that young people with a special talent in science should be identified as early as possible and provided with a separate, specialised, and highly focused science education and this identification must start right from the senior school level. Despite this identification we are still facing major problems in Science Education at Senior Secondary Level. Today's gender gap in education often focuses on the advantage males have over females in science and math, but fails to recognize the falling behind of males to females in literacy. So in this study we need to look out for the various reasons for such decline and the possible solutions to overcome this gender stereotypes in order to build a meaningful Scientific Society consisting of both female and male scientists as this discrimination on the basis of sexes is the possible hindrance in the National Development. This paper is an attempt to find out the main drawbacks in the learning outcomes among Goverment School Students which are withholding them to opt Science as their future career option.

Oil exploration has enormous economic benefits; however, these benefits are associated with environmental issues arising from oil spills. Numerous methods exist for cleaning up oil spills along with their aftereffect as well as huge financial burden. Hence, the shift to methods that are environmentally friendly and cost effective is imperative so the efficiency and mechanics of using human hair to clean up crude oil contaminated water using various parameters such as contact time, recovery and reuse, adsorbent dosage, temperature, modification. Human hair, being hydrophobic and a biosorbent, has proven to be an efficient material in removing oil from water with a maximum adsorption capacity of crude oil as well as its recovery and reusability. It is independent of the external factors like temperature etc. unlike other methods. Human hair can be modified into boom to clean-up oil spills. Since hair is just a waste product, it has proven to be a cost-effective method. It can adsorb up to 9 times its own weight. Lately, it has been used to clear up a few oil spills successfully and has proven to be a quick process. This is a promising area that researchers need to focus more on in order to explore the huge benefits it presents
