Deglobalization is being accelerated through a combination of protectionism, countries having 'friend shoring' which means limiting trade to countries with shared values, invasion of enemy countries (Ukraine-Russia war) which leads to geo-strategically motivated bans and sanctions. This research paper focuses on two-dimensions where deglobalization can highly impact. The first dimension is threat to climate and the second dimension is fulfilled by testing Romer's hypothesis which states that inflation is lower in open economies. The aim of the second dimension is to check causal relationship between trade openness and inflation, taking Wholesale Price Index as the variable. The researchers also checked any long run or short run relationship between the two variables. Methodological tools include test stationarity of the data, Granger Causality Test Johansen Cointegration Test taking secondary empirical data of past 10 years. The inferences drawn are not supporting the idea of a closed economy or a global economy with isolated regional trading blocs.

Abstract Job satisfaction is a critical factor influencing the performance and retention of employees, particularly in safety-sensitive occupations such as Loco-Pilots in the North-Eastern Frontier Railway (NER). This research paper aims to identify and analyze the motivational factors that significantly impact job satisfaction among Loco-Pilots in the NER, ultimately contributing to the railway's overall effectiveness. To achieve this objective, a mixed-methods research approach will be employed. Firstly, a structured questionnaire will be distributed among a sample of Loco-Pilots to gather quantitative data on their levels of job satisfaction and identify key motivational drivers. The questionnaire will be designed based on established theories and previous studies on job satisfaction and employee motivation. Secondly, in-depth interviews will be conducted with a select group of Loco-Pilots to obtain qualitative insights into their experiences, perceptions, and personal narratives regarding job satisfaction and the factors that influence their motivation. These interviews will provide a deeper understanding of the context-specific elements affecting Loco-Pilots' job satisfaction in NER. The research will be conducted within a specific time frame, ensuring the participation of a representative sample of Loco-Pilots in NER to enhance the study's validity and generalizability of findings. By combining quantitative and qualitative data, this research aims to offer a comprehensive perspective on the complex interplay between motivational factors and job satisfaction among Loco-Pilots in NER, providing valuable insights for railway management to implement targeted strategies to improve employee motivation and job satisfaction.

This research paper investigates the use of waste marble dust as a soil stabilizer to improve soil properties and enhance its suitability for construction purposes. The study involves the collection and characterization of soil samples from a location in Jaipur district, followed by mixing the soil with varying proportions of marble dust obtained from a marble cutting and polishing industry in Nagaur district. Various laboratory tests, including Atterberg's limits, specific gravity, Proctor compaction, and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) tests, were performed to evaluate the effects of marble dust on soil characteristics. The results reveal that the addition of marble dust to the soil led to a reduction in clay content and an increase in the percentage of coarser particles. The Optimum Moisture Content (OMC) increased, while the Maximum Dry Density (MDD) decreased with higher percentages of marble dust. The plasticity index and swelling properties of the soil were improved, resulting in better volume stability. The CBR values of the soil significantly increased with the incorporation of marble dust, indicating enhanced strength and load-bearing capacity. The findings suggest that marble dust can be a promising soil stabilizer, particularly for engineering projects involving weak soils, offering an alternative to deep or raft foundations and leading to cost and energy savings. The optimal proportion of marble dust for soil stabilization was found to be 15%. Thus, utilizing 15% marble dust content in soil stabilization can yield the best results. The study highlights the potential of waste marble dust as an effective and environmentally friendly solution for soil improvement and construction applications, contributing to resource conservation and reducing environmental pollution.

The research aims to find an alternative to expensive and environmentally damaging cement in the construction industry by investigating the impact of incorporating waste engine oil (WEO) and fly ash (FA) on the engineering properties of green and hardened concrete. The study found that the addition of FA and WEO improved properties such as workability, air content, and porosity, but adversely affected compressive strength. The optimum content of FA and WEO was found to be 40% and 0.5%, respectively, with the least decline in compressive strength. The proposed modification also diminished segregation, bleeding, and the effect of freeze-thaw cycles. This research has significant implications for the construction industry and the environment. By finding a viable alternative to cement, it could potentially reduce the demand for cement and subsequently decrease the carbon emissions produced during its production. The use of waste materials such as WEO and FA can also help reduce waste and provide a more sustainable solution for the construction industry. The findings of this research could inspire further investigation into the use of alternative materials in the construction industry to mitigate its environmental impact.
