Indian economy is one of the top emerging markets of the world. Five years ago, it was considered as part of the fragile five, but no longer. Since 2014, it has emerged as of the one top foreign destination in the world with a significant rise in FDI. The journey of attracting foreign investments started way back in 1991 with New Economic policy and India has unpretendingly scaled new heights in the level of FDI during 2000s. The paper focuses on secondary data based on analysis of the inflow of FDI in India from 2000 to 2018. The paper also aims to look at different facets of positive FDI spill overs in the country. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) refers to an investment made by a company based in one country in to another company based in other country. FDI is often preferred over Foreign Institutional Investments (FII) as it considered to be the most beneficial form of foreign investment for an economy. FDI plays a multidimensional role in the overall development of any economy. It provides a new source for capital, can lead to technological up gradation, skill enhancement and allocative efficiency effects. While FDI is expected to create positive impact on economy, it has also brought in certain negative impact on Indian economy during the past few years. The present study is conducted to study the relationship and analyze the impact of FDI on Indian economy. Flow of FDI for the past 15 years was taken for study (2000-2015). The impact was studied by testing the correlation with the countrys GDP and Stock Market Indices. Sensex and Nifty were considered as the representative of Indian Stock Market. The study concludes that flow of FDI in to the country plays a dominant role in deciding the stock market movements.

ABSTRACT This paper explores the theme of Alienation in Anita Desai's Cry,The Peacock(1963) and Kiran Desai's Hullabaloo in the Guava Orchard (1997). The theme of alienation is a pivotal idea in post-modern Literature. It has been being used in theological, philosophical, sociological and Psychological writings. Alienation is a state of man's contradiction with his milieu. It alludes to the polarization among man and nature and the breaking down of man's dreams of joy. It also reflects a mirrors a condition of man's separation from himself, with a common feeling of depression or a sentiment of avoidance that goes with any conduct where the individual is constrained to pointlessly. The people are compelled to control individuals and circumstances as per the social requests, while feeling unequipped for controlling their activities. Alienation is an old phenomenon but it has accepted alarming extents in the present age. Several factors have achieved this condition of awareness. The feeling of alienation is characteristic in man as he is inclined to practically all the physical and mental assaults of society and its controllers. The contrary impacts of alienation lead man either to end it all or to see himself as not in excess of automation deprived of any close to home positioning or individuality.

The real-world applications related to digital signal processing demand high performance computation. In such applications we use the various types of filters and one such type of filter is Adaptive Finite impulse Response filter. There are many architectures implementing the Adaptive Finite impulse Response filter. The architecture of Adaptive FIR is mainly composed of the error computing and weight updating modules. Because intensive computation is involved in practical applications, high ef?ciency and low-cost hardware is a must. Hence here a fixed-point finite impulse response adaptive filter is proposed using approximate distributed arithmetic (DA) circuits. In this design, the radix-8 booth algorithm is used to reduce the number of partial products in the DA architecture. In order to reduce the area, Kogge stone adders are used. As a result, the delay and power consumption of the proposed design are significantly reduced. Both the error computing schemes and weight updating schemes will be designed using Verilog.

Background: Today is the age of information and technology, in which social media playing an important role. Although social media has a positive effect on a person but its more use also has negative effects. Several studies have revealed an association between more use of social media and poor emotional state. It is shown that social media can affect people differently. Objective: Purpose of this present study to observe the impact of social media on mental health-related to depression, anxiety, and stress of adolescents. Method: The survey method was used in this study. A sample comprised of 100 students out of which 50 students who use social media for less two hours and 50 students who use social media for more than two hours was drowned randomly selected from the different schools of Aligarh district in the age range between 16 to 18 years. Depression, anxiety, and stress scales developed by Lovibond and Lovibond (1995) were used to data collection. For analyzing the collected data, mean, standard deviation and t-test were used to see the impact of social media on the mental health of adolescents. Result: The result shows that there was a significant difference between adolescents who use social media for less than two hours and adolescents who use social media for more than two hours on depression, anxiety, and stress level. Adolescents who use social media for more than two hours received a higher mean score on depression, anxiety, and stress (17.5, 18.02 & 17.56) as compared to the adolescents who use social media for less than two hours ( 9.96, 10.08 & 9.12). The t-value of depression, anxiety, and stress level was 5.39, 5.88, and 6.86, respectively. These t-values were very high to the tabular t-value at 0.01 level of significance. Conclusion: The findings of this study showed that there was a significant difference between adolescents who use social media for less than two hours and adolescents who use social media for more than two hours on depression, anxiety, and stress level. Hence, we can say that adolescents who use social media for more than two hours are poor mentally healthy than adolescents who use social media for less than two hours.

Bearing condition monitoring has received considerable attention in rotating machines. The Acoustic Emission (AE) monitoring is proved to be an important method in order to monitor the bearings. The advantage of AE monitoring over vibration monitoring is that the AE monitoring can detect the growth of subsurface cracks whereas the vibration monitoring can detect defects only when they appear on the surface. The present work involves studying the variation of AE signals obtained from spindle bearing housing of a lathe for various cutting conditions. AE signal was acquired during turning of S. G. Cast iron using multi-layer coated carbide tool. From the AE signals obtained, it was observed that the AE parameters varied in accordance with variation in the load on the bearing. Also, it was observed that as the cutting conditions increases there is an increase in the signal level of AE parameters. This is due to the increase in load acting on the bearing at higher cutting conditions.
